Eminem's daughter Hailie Jade reveals his secret 'struggle'
Just two months after welcoming her first child, a baby boy named Elliot Marshall McClintock, with husband Evan McClintock, the influencer, 29, opened up about relating to her dad more than ever.
'Having been in the spotlight for so long, I've learned the importance of balancing what I share publicly with what I keep private,' the Just a Little Shady podcast host told People.
She continued: 'Over time, I've come to understand the struggle my father faced — wanting to protect our privacy while also feeling proud and wanting to celebrate his kids.'
As a parent herself now, the Michigan State College graduate explained she has mixed feelings about exposing her child to fame.
'I feel the same way now,' Hailie said. 'I want to share the proud, joyful moments that mean a lot to me, especially as a parent, but I'm also intentional about keeping certain parts of our lives just for us.'
For now, she's working on 'about finding that balance between openness and privacy' and her career as a content creator.
'That balance has become even more important to me as I navigate parenthood,' she stressed.
Hailie is one of three of Eminem's adult children, who he shares with ex-wife, Kim Scott.
The former couple also share Alaina Marie Scott, 32, and Stevie Laine Scott, 23.
On March 14, 2025, Hailie welcomed her little boy, a year after walking down the aisle.
Hailie announced she was expecting in her dad's music video for Temporary (feat. Skylar Grey), which included footage of him walking her down the aisle and the moment she told him of his pregnancy.
Toward the end of the video, Hailie could be seen gifting her father a Detroit Lions jersey, which had 'Grandpa' written across the back as well as an ultrasound picture of her baby-to-be.
As he processed the news, the 15-time Grammy winner looked shocked as he did a double take of the ultrasound image as Hailie giggled by his side.
'Having been in the spotlight for so long, I've learned the importance of balancing what I share publicly with what I keep private,' the Just a Little Shady podcast host told People
The exciting update came just five months after Scott and McClintock tied the knot in Battle Creek, Michigan.
They invited close friends and family to watch them exchange vows in a 'modestly sized' ceremony held at the Greencrest Manor, according to TMZ.
For her big day, Hailie wore a gorgeous white wedding dress complete with romantic tulle skirt with sheer veil topping off her elegant hairstyle.
Hailie and Evans have been dating since 2016 and became engaged in February 2023.
Hailie works as an influencer.
She grew up in Detroit with dad Eminem - real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III - and mom Kim Scott.
She studied at Chippewa Valley High School (2014) and Michigan State University.
Hailie studied psychology at Michigan State University.
In August, Hailie admitted on her podcast Just A Little Shady that her father's tracks, Temporary and Somebody Save Me, make her 'cry every time' she hears them.
In Somebody Save Me, Eminem raps: 'Sorry that I chose drugs and put 'em above you / Sorry that I didn't love you enough to give 'em up.'
In the video, footage from Hailie's childhood with her siblings flash by as Eminem watches them.
Eminem raps: 'Hailey, I'm so sorry I wasn't there for your first guitar recital,' he raps as she's shown playing a pink acoustic guitar as a teen.
In the song lyrics, he also shares his regrets about not walking her 'down the aisle' when she got married and missing the birth of her first child, which are things he would have missed had he died during his 2007 overdose.
Eminem, who battled prescription pill addiction in the past, has been sober for 16 years.
She continued, 'Between that and Temporary, I mean, I can't. I audibly sobbed I think for both songs but especially Temporary.
The Slim Shady artist dedicated Temporary to his daughter and addresses his eventual death in the song and urges her to move on from it and be happy.

Tom Cruise turns down Trump's invite for Kennedy Center Honor: report
Actor Tom Cruise has turned down President Donald Trump' s invitation to the 48th Kennedy Center Honors, according to a new report. On Wednesday, Trump announced the recipients of the prestigious award, which 'recognizes and celebrates individuals whose unique artistic contributions have shaped our world,' according to the Washington, D.C. arts center. The five recipients who will be honored in December are country music singer George Strait, rock band KISS, Broadway star Michael Crawford, singer Gloria Gaynor and actor Sylvester Stallone. Not on the list is Cruise, known for his starring roles in the movie franchises 'Mission Impossible' and 'Top Gun.' Cruise was offered the award but declined due to scheduling conflicts, The Washington Post reported, citing current and former Kennedy Center employees. The Independent has reached out to a representative for Cruise for comment. In November, Cruise will receive an honorary Oscar at the Governors Awards, alongside the production designer Wynn Thomas, and the choreographer and actress Debbie Allen, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced in June. Before announcing the award recipients this week, Trump suggested that he be honored next year, as he had never received one. 'I waited and waited and waited, and I said, 'The hell with it, I'll become chairman and I'll give myself an honor,'' he said. 'Next year, we'll honor Trump, okay?' The president insisted the Kennedy Center board had requested that he serve as the emcee of this year's show, stepping into shoes once filled by the late CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite from 1981 to 2002, then by Ambassador Caroline Kennedy — the daughter of President John F. Kennedy, for whom the arts center is named — from 2003 to 2012. Trump initially claimed the center's board had selected 'a truly exceptional class of honorees.' But under questioning from reporters he admitted that he had signed off on the list and rejected multiple picks for honorees because they'd been 'too woke.' 'I would say I was about 98 percent involved ... they all went through me,' he said. 'I turned down plenty who were too woke.'

'Sesame Street' stars Elmo and Abby Cadabby sing and host in their Grand Ole Opry debut
For a 3 1/2-year-old, Elmo sure has sung a lot on "Sesame Street" with some of the best musicians in the world. But it wasn't until Thursday that the friendly red monster made his Grand Ole Opry debut, a country music rite of passage. The squeaky voiced singer's roots in the genre actually run pretty deep. Elmo helped ring in the Grand Ole Opry's 100th anniversary this year by co-hosting with his 'Sesame Street' pal Abby Cadabby. Elmo, in a little blue cowboy hat and matching shirt, teamed up for a duet alongside Lauren Alaina, while Abby Cadabby sang with Tayla Lynn, the daughter of Loretta Lynn, the late country star who had visited "Sesame Street" herself. 'We sing all the time on 'Sesame Street,' but um, well, being able to sing in the home of country music is amazing!' Abby Cadabby told The Associated Press prior to their performance. The puppet pair shared the spotlight in Music City during a stop on the "Sesame Street" crew's Road Trip Across America this summer and fall, when the characters that kids have watched on TV for decades are heading to events such as professional baseball games, state fairs and corn mazes. Cookie Monster even served as the grand marshal at the NASCAR Brickyard 400 in Indiana, making a cookie crumb mess, as expected. Throughout the years, the "Sesame Street" gang has played and sung songs with some of country music's brightest stars, including Garth Brooks, Lee Ann Womack, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Thomas Rhett, Kane Brown, Mickey Guyton, Kacey Musgraves and more. Chris Stapleton stopped by Sesame Street in late July. Johnny Cash made multiple appearances. He won over Oscar the Grouch with his song, 'Nasty Dan,' about a mean guy who never laughed and was rumored to have never taken a bath. 'Wow, I'd like him,' Oscar the Grouch mused from his trash can. Loretta Lynn, meanwhile, joined for a math lesson with the Count on the song, 'Count on Me.' In their interview with AP, Elmo and Abby Cadabby said the Count always talks about Loretta Lynn. Elmo said Stapleton's song about the power of music was really great. 'Elmo got to wear his hat,' Elmo said of Stapleton. "It was a little big for Elmo, but that's OK. A really good time." Both of them were also dreaming big about singing with Dolly Parton. 'Elmo would love to do a duet with Miss Dolly Parton,' Elmo said. 'Maybe we could do 'Jolene' together. Come on Dolly! Call Elmo!' 'Yeah! Or 'Love is Like a Butterfly!'' Abby Cadabby added. 'Call us! We're available!' Elmo said. 'Sesame Street'debuted in 1969, and has helped generations of children learn, grow and be kind with characters like Bert, Ernie and Grover. Elmo wasn't officially Elmo, though, until 1980 in the 11th season. Before that, he was more of an extra used in some segments. He turns 3 1/2 years old on his birthday every February 3. Abby Cadabby is a 4-year-old fairy-in-training, and the Fairy Godmother's daughter. She came to Sesame Street in 2006. They also tossed out some ideas for new country songs. Elmo said he might write one about Rocco, the pet rock from Sesame Street. Abby Cadabby's idea was a little more complicated. 'A guitar-playing pickle picking in a pickle patch with a penguin eating pizza. Woo!' she said. 'Maybe I'll just sing about my friend Big Bird.' Elmo has also had play dates with his cousin Elmer, who spoke with a little twang, wore a bright green cowboy hat and played a guitar to lead them in the 'Rootin' Tootin' Hootin' Hollerin' Country Jamboree.' 'Elmo loves country music, too,' Elmo said. 'Elmo loves the fiddle. Elmo loves to hear the fiddle. And Elmo loves to say fiddle.'

Rapper Sean Kingston to be sentenced for $1 million fraud scheme in South Florida
Rapper Sean Kingston is scheduled to be sentenced in South Florida on Friday after being convicted of a $1 million fraud scheme. Kingston, whose legal name is Kisean Paul Anderson, and his mother, Janice Eleanor Turner, were each convicted by a federal jury in March of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud. U.S. Judge David Leibowitz sentenced Turner last month to five years in prison, but Kingston's sentencing was rescheduled. Kingston, 35, and his mother were arrested in May 2024 after a SWAT team raided Kingston's rented mansion in suburban Fort Lauderdale. Turner was taken into custody during the raid, while Kingston was arrested at Fort Irwin, an Army training base in California's Mojave Desert, where he was performing. According to court records, Kingston used social media from April 2023 to March 2024 to arrange purchases of high-end merchandise. After negotiating deals, Kingston would invite the sellers to one of his high-end Florida homes and promise to feature them and their products on social media. Investigators said that when it came time to pay, Kingston or his mother would text the victims fake wire receipts for the luxury merchandise, which included a bulletproof Escalade, watches and a 19-foot (5.9-meter) LED TV, investigators said. When the funds never cleared, victims often contacted Kingston and Turner repeatedly, but were either never paid or received money only after filing lawsuits or contacting law enforcement. Kingston shot to fame at age 17 with the 2007 hit 'Beautiful Girls,' which laid his lyrics over Ben E. King's 1961 song 'Stand By Me.'
