Mother and three children who died in Brent fire named
A mother and her three children who died after a house fire that took place in north-west London in the early hours of Saturday morning have been named by police.
Nusrat Usman, 43, her daughter Maryam Mikaiel, 15 and two sons Musa Usman, eight, and Raees Usman, four, died when the house in Stonebridge, Brent, went up in flames, the Metropolitan Police said.
A 13-year-old girl, who has not been named, remains in hospital in critical condition while a woman in her 70s has been discharged.
A man, 41, was arrested on suspicion of murder outside the property. He has since been bailed and detained under the Mental Health Act, the Met said.
Officers were called to Tillett Close at around 01:20 BST on Saturday, attending alongside the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
Two terraced three-storey homes were gutted in the fire.
Eight fire engines and about 70 firefighters from stations across Wembley, Park Royal and Willesden were sent out to tackle the blaze.
On Sunday, flowers and teddy bear tributes were seen laid near the properties.
Supt Steve Allen, from the local policing team, said on Sunday that specialist officers were supporting the family.
"Our thoughts go out to all those impacted by what has happened," he said.
"Local officers are working closely with officers from the Specialist Crime Command on what continues to be a very complex investigation."
Extra officers will also be deployed to the area in the coming days, he added.
On Saturday, the LFB said they had received more than 20 calls reporting the fire.
Assistant Commissioner Keeley Foster said: "This is an extremely tragic incident, and the thoughts of everyone across the Brigade are with those impacted by this incident.
"Upon arrival, firefighters were met with a well-developed fire, involving two adjoining properties. Crews immediately set to work carrying out firefighting operations in order to bring the incident under control."
Ms Foster added that the LFB's specialist Fire Investigation Unit would work with the Met to determine the cause of the fire.

Charlotte Alice Peet, 32, was reported missing to authorities by her UK-based family after losing contact with her in February. On Monday, Brazilian police told the BBC they had found Ms Peet in a hostel in São Paulo in March and she expressed a desire not to have contact with family members. "In view of this, the investigation of the disappearance was concluded," a spokesperson for Rio state's Civil Police said. At the time of her disappearance, Ms Peet was understood to have last contacted a friend on 8 February, saying she was in São Paulo and planned to travel to Rio de Janeiro. She had not been heard from since. Days later, her UK-based family told the friend they had lost contact with her and provided authorities with details of her flight and a copy of her passport to aid the search. According to her LinkedIn profile, Ms Peet has worked as a freelance journalist in Rio and London for organisations including Al Jazeera and The Times.

Nick Offerman says he and ‘Parks and Recreation' cast ‘heartbroken' over shooting death of Jonathan Joss
Nick Offerman has spoken out about the shooting death of his 'Parks and Recreation' costar, actor Jonathan Joss. 'The cast has been texting together about it all day and we're just heartbroken,' Offerman said in a statement to People. The actor was pronounced dead by emergency service responders. A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder and an investigation is ongoing, police said. Joss' husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales confirmed his death in a text message to the Associated Press. He said he and Joss were approached and threatened by a man with a gun while checking the mail at Joss' home, which in January was damaged by a fire that also killed their three dogs. 'Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone. We were grieving. We were standing side by side. When the man fired Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life,' de Gonzales said. He and Joss, who married in February, had previously faced 'openly homophobic' harassment, de Gonzales said. The person who killed Joss yelled 'violent homophobic slurs' before opening fire, he added. 'He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other,' de Gonzales said. 'Despite online claims of this being a hate crime, currently the investigation has found no evidence to indicate that the Mr. Joss's murder was related to his sexual orientation,' San Antonio police said in a statement posted to social media on Monday night. Beyond his work on 'Parks and Recreation,' Joss voiced the character of John Redcorn on 'King of the Hill.' Some of his other credits include appearances in 'Ray Donovan,' 'Tulsa King' and the 2016 film 'The Magnificent Seven.'
