This Morning host Craig Doyle was supported by his co-star as he shared news about his mum on Wednesday
This Morning star Craig Doyle had the support of his colleague on Wednesday (May 28) as he shared news of his mother being in hospital.
In the latest broadcast of the popular ITV show, Craig and his co-host Rochelle Humes delivered the day's updates from Britain and across the globe.

Following a discussion with Deirdre Sanders about the upcoming phone-in topic concerning issues with in-laws, Craig seized a moment to extend his best wishes to his mother.

"We're here to help with any in-law problem," stated Deirdre, prompting Craig to jest, "Don't know what she's talking about. My in-laws are perfect, morning Dorothy."
He quickly added: "Can I say hello to my mum who's in hospital. Hello mum, how are you? Have you got the sound up? Good girl," reports Wales Online.
Rochelle chimed in warmly: "Hello mum! Hope you're good. Love her."
Filling in for usual presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who are taking a half-term break, Craig and Rochelle took the helm of today's This Morning, following Paddy McGuinness and Alison Hammond's earlier stint this week.
At the beginning of the show, Rochelle praised Craig for successfully completing the London Marathon last month.

"You're stuck with Craig and I today, sorry about that," she said, before turning to Craig: "How are you? I've not seen you for a little while and we've got a lot to catch up on.
"Since I've last seen you, you've taken on a big challenge and absolutely nailed it... The London Marathon."

A photograph of Craig proudly displaying his medal alongside EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt and presenter Jenni Falconer was then displayed on screen.
"Ah fantastic! [Jenni] had to have her knee up because it was sweaty day, let's just say," Craig explained.
"I haven't done one in about 20 years and I thought I was the same as I was 20 years ago, I'm definitely not. It was really, really tough, so congratulations to all of you who finished the marathon... I was slow, I enjoyed it, the crowds were unbelievable."
In other segments of today's programme, Craig and Rochelle engaged in a conversation with opera singer Lesley Garrett, who candidly discussed her secret battle with cancer.
Additionally, Race Across the World contestants Fin and Sioned made an appearance in the studio ahead of the latest episode of the popular BBC travel series, while Sharon Marshall delivered all the latest soap updates live from Emmerdale.

John questioned by police on Nate's murder in Emmerdale

In the wake of the discovery of Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) untimely Emmerdale death, accusations are flying, but it's John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) who is sweating. Murderous John seemed to be high and dry after the dredging of the lake was called off, and with Aidan slipping back into his coma – the other person who could blow his cover – he smugly returned to the village to resume the new life he'd created for himself. But reality came back to bite him on the bum when they dredged the lake anyway and Nate's body was finally found. It's badly decomposed so it'll be harder for the police to gather much if any DNA, but there will be a thorough investigation regardless and John is not in the clear. Then his worst living nightmare comes true – the police show up to question him about the day Nate disappeared. Having got away with things for this long he plays it cool. But as it turns out, it's not him they're after – it's Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley). Now this does not a happy Cain make, and though the finger isn't pointing at John, John still needs to work hard to protect Cain from going down for a crime he didn't commit – especially in the wake of Tracy Shankley's (Amy Walsh) accusation towards him. Tracy later walks passed and Sam Dingle (James Hooton) can't resist giving her what for. Cain is left shaken and puts voice to a dark thought that he believes Tracy did away with her ex. Finger firmly pointed, Tracy feebly tries to defend herself, but John concocts a dreadful plan to take the heat off Cain. The police soon arrive at Tug Ghyll with a search warrant and make a massive discovery – Nate's phone in Frankie's playhouse. Now the fear sets in for Tracy as she realises how bad things are starting to look – just wait until they find out she's been using his credit card too. But before they even get that far, they learn there is no record of the removal men who came to collect Nate's stuff – the ones that Tracy was the only one to interact with. EastEnders wedding thrown into chaos as Kat calls things off with Alfie

A misunderstanding puts Kat Slater's (Jessie Wallace) wedding to Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) in jeopardy next week, but will the EastEnders finally have reason to celebrate? It's been quite a quick turnaround for the couple, who are engaged this week in the spur of the moment. Kat had invested in a new limousine business, and when Alfie decided to stage a fake wedding shoot, he decided to put the wheels into motion and make it official. Little did they realise, trouble was brewing back at home, as son Tommy (Sonny Kendall) used Alfie's credit card to purchase pornography online. In upcoming scenes, Kat's left reeling after stumbling across the explicit video on the family laptop – completely unaware that it was actually Tommy who bought it. Assuming the worst, she opens up to Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), fearing that her fiancé might be turning to adult content, especially with things having cooled off in the bedroom since his cancer treatment. Blissfully unaware and trying to reignite the spark, Alfie whips up a romantic meal, but Kat beats him to it – arriving in full seduction mode. The atmosphere soon turns frosty when Alfie slows things down, and a wounded and offended Kat storms off. Jean urges Kat to have an honest chat with her partner, while Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) gives Alfie his own shoulder to cry on. Eventually, the pair sit down for a long-overdue heart-to-heart, hoping to make amends from the situation they've found themselves in. But the peace is short-lived when Kat brings up that video. As the situation escalates, they realise that Tommy is the one responsible. The teen has developed a worrying obsession with adult content, ever since striking up a friendship with newcomer Joel Marshall (Max Murray). His dad Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) and Ross' girlfriend Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) both believe that he could do with some positive male influences, and are pleased to see him bonding with Tommy over his wedding speech. What they don't realise is that both lads are entrapped in a dangerous web of online content. On-off EastEnders couple Kat Slater and Alfie Moon have a long and complicated history, which began when they were part of a will-they-won't-they storyline while working behind the bar of the Queen Vic in 2002. After finally getting together, they tied the knot on Christmas Day 2003, but were ripped apart a year later by Kat's jealous ex, gangster Andy Hunter (Michael Higgs), who threatened to kill Alfie unless Kat slept with him. Realising their feelings for one another were still there, they gave their marriage another shot and left Walford for pastures new at the end of 2005. Five years later, they made a bombshell comeback when it was revealed Kat had been having an affair with Alfie's cousin Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) and was pregnant with his son. They eventually reconciled, with Alfie agreeing to bring Tommy up as his own. However, they were heartbroken when their baby 'died' – before it was later revealed Ronnie Mitchell had actually swapped their baby with her son James, who had died from cot death. After a joyous reunion with baby Tommy, the pair were torn apart again when Kat's subsequent affair with Derek Branning (Jamie Foreman) was exposed. But a reconciliation eventually followed – as did their twin sons Bert and Ernie – before Kat and Alfie swapped the Square for Spain in 2016 after winning big on the lottery. Two years later, a broke Kat returned to Walford having split from Alfie again, after cheating on him. When he later followed home, the couple had a short-lived reunion before Alfie was revealed as the father of Kat's cousin Hayley Slater's (Katie Jarvis) baby daughter Cherry. With their relationship in tatters, Alfie did a bunk from Walford in 2019 after scamming £50k out of Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who Kat later went on to have an unlikely relationship with. When Alfie returned to Albert Square again three years later, he sabotaged Kat's wedding to Phil, but it wasn't enough to split them up and they rescheduled their nuptials. However, after Kat discovered Phil had cheated on her with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit), the pair split and she moved in with Alfie. As Kat and Alfie's big day rolls around, their happiness is already under threat. Worries about Tommy and the video loom large, and although Alfie vows to have a word with his son, chaos (in true Walford fashion) keeps getting in the way. By the time he confesses to bungling several wedding tasks, Kat's had enough, and calls the whole thing off! More Trending Uh-oh. Alfie is left stunned and furious, charging out of The Vic in frustration. Meanwhile, Kat drowns her sorrows with Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) and Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), and the trio swap notes on love and loss, with Elaine (or should that be E-laine) offering some unexpected food for thought. As Alfie gets a pep talk from someone unexpected, he's left wondering whether he and Kat still stand a chance. View More » With emotions running high, Kat and Alfie finally sit down to talk.
