Yet another EastEnders star returning to the cast three years after chaotic exit
The older brother of Callum Highway (Tony Clay), Stuart first arrived in Albert Square in 2018, tracking down his childhood best mate Mick Carter (Danny Dyer).
After playing a series of bizarre pranks on the Carter clan, he explained that he was part of a paedophile vigilante group, and roped Mick into helping confront an offender.
He then told Callum that he took on the role as a result of being abused as a child, and wanted justice for other victims.
It later transpired that he had tortured Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) when she was young, and he started a hate campaign against her.
After forcing Mick to breaking point, he broke up his marriage to Linda (Kellie Bright) and was almost killed.
Towards the end of his time in the Square, the character mellowed. Viewers saw him struggling with postnatal depression following the birth of his son Roland, all the while battling breast cancer.
Stuart and Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks) reunited after a tough period in their marriage, and resolved to start afresh outside of Walford. In truly chaotic scenes, the duo stole a hearse from Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and rode out of the area.
Now Ricky is set to reprise the role for what Metro understands is a very short stint.
In a real soap cliché, The Sun reports that Stuart will 'ruffle a few feathers' upon his return.
The circumstances surrounding his arrival are currently unknown, though it's likely that it will involve the ongoing affair between Callum and Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff). More Trending
As fans have seen, the pair have been unable to keep their hands off one another – but have vowed to keep their distance after Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) found out.
Phil is, of course, Callum's father-in-law. Phil's son Ben (Max Bowden) has been absent for over a year, having been extradited to the States for a fraud charge.
During their estrangement, Callum has seemingly coped well, but in upcoming scenes he can't resist sending flirty messages to Johnny… something which Jay has warned him about.

Natalie Cassidy has opened up on her decision to leave EastEnders after playing Sonia Fowler on the BBC soap for more than three decades Natalie Cassidy confesses she "doesn't miss" EastEnders after departing the soap following more than three decades on screen. The actress initially joined the beloved BBC programme as Sonia Fowler back in 1993. The 42-year-old remained with the series for 14 years before her initial exit in 2007. She made sporadic returns before securing a permanent comeback in 2014. Yet this January saw the announcement that Natalie would be departing the soap once again, with her farewell scenes broadcasting on April 17. During that period, Natalie expressed her desire to dedicate more time to her family - fiancé Marc Humphreys and daughters Eliza, 15, and eight-year-old Joanie - whilst exploring fresh projects. Natalie has now revealed her feelings about leaving during a chat with fellow soap actress Kellie Bright. Appearing on the Life with Nat podcast, she declared: "I don't miss it, I don't. I miss the people. It's full on." The television personality went on to confess she feels positive about her decision. She added: "I do feel happier doing the things I'm doing now. I always feel like I have to say it, I loved it, I'm grateful for it but I did fall into it and that was that, and that's what I did for 30 years, I don't know if I was meant to do that." Following her departure from the programme, Natalie has penned a book about motherhood, titled Happy Days, which is scheduled for release in October, and has fronted her own consumer show on Channel 4. Her forthcoming series, Learning to Care, will feature Natalie returning to college to discover everything about becoming a carer. Throughout her three decades on EastEnders, Natalie confesses there was one particular aspect she "loved". She disclosed she would get thrilled upon receiving the scripts. She continued: "I used to love it, I loved the prep, getting the scripts. I never got bored of getting a script. I never felt bored or thought, 'Oh, here we go, we've got to undo it all and do it my way and see what's happening'. I never lost that in all of those 32 years." Prior to her departure, Natalie acknowledged feeling "guilty" about how much time she could devote to her domestic life. However, she clarified she did spend whatever free time she had with her family. Speaking to Closer magazine, Natalie confessed: "It's hard. You feel guilty about not spending more time at home, but you need to take the opportunities when they come along to earn money." She continued: "You have to accept that not every bit of your life can be perfect all the time. Any time I do have off, I'm at home with Marc and the kids." Outside her EastEnders role, Natalie has also starred in the BBC comedy Mandy in 2020 as Donna Bell and has made guest appearances on ITV's Loose Women. She has also featured on Celebrity Big Brother, Strictly Come Dancing, and The Masked Singer.

Jack Osbourne is about to return to TV screens this weekend as the world mourns the loss of his famous father The Osbourne family is mourning the loss of their beloved patriarch, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who sadly passed away at 76 on 22 July. As they grapple with their grief, Ozzy's youngest son, Jack, is set to make a return to television just days after his father's passing, as he takes part in the fifth series of ITV's celebrity cooking show, Cooking with the Stars. The programme, hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen, was pre-recorded before Ozzy's untimely death. Jack will be competing against a host of famous faces including Love Island's Ekin-Su, EastEnders ' Natalie Cassidy and former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips. Each celebrity is paired with a culinary expert who guides them through each round, but those with the lowest scores face a cook-off without any help from their mentors, who can only watch from the sidelines. In a cruel twist, the mentors of those in the bottom two will have to endure a blind taste test to decide who progresses to the next round, potentially sending their own protege packing. Jack, a familiar face on television, is set to appear on the show this Sunday, 3rd August, at 8pm on ITV1, reports the Express. Throughout Ozzy's life, unbeknownst to many, the rockstar fathered six children, meaning Jack has five siblings - not just Kelly, who is widely known as his sister from MTV's At Home with the Osbournes. Before Sharon and Ozzy said 'I do', the Black Sabbath icon had been previously married. He met his first wife Thelma Riley in a Birmingham nightclub before they tied the knot and welcomed two biological children, Jessica, 53, and Louis, 50. Thelma was already a mother to five-year-old Elliot from a previous relationship when she met the lead singer. Ozzy would later adopt Elliot and raise him as his own. However, the three children don't have fond childhood memories with their daredevil dad. In a 2011 documentary (produced by Jack Osbourne), when Ozzy is asked about Louis and Jessica's birthdays, he fails to remember when each of them were born. In the same series, Louis revealed details about growing up with Ozzy: "When he was around and he wasn't [drunk], he was a great father. But that was kind of rare, really. I just have a lot of memories of him being drunk, random s**t like driving cars across fields and crashing them in the middle of the night and stuff like that. "It's not good for family life, really," he admitted in the documentary. His elder sister, Jessica also remarked: "I don't remember being put to bed or having a bath by dad or anything like that. I wouldn't say he was there for us, no, never on sports day, school trip, parents' evening. He wasn't like that, no." In 1982, Ozzy and Thelma divorced and that same year he wed Sharon, his manager at the time. Twelve months later, they welcomed their first daughter Aimee on September 2nd 1983, with their second daughter Kelly born on October 27, 1984. They eventually welcomed their youngest child, Jack on November 8, 1985. Whilst many fans know two of Sharon and Ozzy's offspring - Jack and Kelly - Aimee chose to stay out of the spotlight when the former X Factor judge decided to allow MTV's cameras into their home. Refusing to participate in filming, she left the family residence in the early 2000s to pursue her own musical career, performing under her initials ARO. In a previous interview with the Independent, she looked back on her choice to step away. She confided in the magazine: "Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television? I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable." In a 2008 interview with the same publication, Aimee defended her decision: "I'm not some weirdo depressed daughter that's afraid of the world and locks herself in her room all day. I just didn't choose to do the show. I want to be a singer, and I felt if I'd stayed with the Osbournes and done the whole thing I would have been typecast right away. "[Sharon] was hurt, and we definitely had a tough time with disagreements. I'm more reserved and my private life is very important." In 2021, it emerged that Sharon's two daughters were actually estranged from one another. Discussing her relationship with Aimee on the Dax Shepard podcast, Kelly admitted: "We don't talk. We're just really different. She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her." Despite the tension between the two sisters, it appears Aimee has a much stronger bond with her younger brother Jack, as they both co-run the production company Osbourne Media together.

"And for Christine it was very brave that she wanted to dip her toe back into the world of dating and throughout the process of us getting to know her, she realised that perhaps this actually wasn't quite the right time for her to be doing that and took a great deal of confidence and bravery inside to recognise and actually now is not the right time." Revealing a glimpse of what to expect, Anna did admit that while Christine wasn't on the show for long, she did go on dates, and viewers will see a different side to the glamorous mum-of-three. Christine opened up after she left the show and wrote on Instagram at the time: "I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention that brings is just too soon for me. "They've said the door is always open for me which I'm so grateful but for now, I'm returning home to my family." A spokesperson for Celebs Go Dating also added in a statement that those behind the show have "loved" working with Christine and "respect her feelings". They said: "We have loved having Christine on the show and completely respect her feelings and decision to return home and have told her that the door is always open for her in the future at the agency."
