Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan left Junagadh for Rajkot, unknowingly leaving his wife behind. Realizing after 10 minutes, he returned to fetch her.
In a strange incident, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan gained attention from the netizens when he hurriedly and unknowingly left for Rajkot with his convoy leaving his wife Sadhana Singh behind in Junagadh.
However, when he realised after a while that his wife is not with him, he returned with the convoy of 22 vehicles to Junagadh's Peanut Research Center, where Sadhana was sitting in the waiting room, NDTV MP reported.
The incident left many amused and added a light-hearted twist to the day's political engagements.
The union minister was on a religious and official day-long tour to Gujarat on Saturday during which he visited Somnath Jyotirlinga temple and Gir National Park in Junagadh. Later he was scheduled to interact with the Peanut Research Center farmers and Lakhpati Didi beneficiaries. As he was also scheduled to take a flight from Rajkot at around 8 o'clock later in the day, so he was in a hurry.
During the visit to the research centre, he reviewed the work with the staff, while his wife was sitting in the waiting house. After that Shivraj held an interaction with the Lakhpati Didi scheme beneficiaries, the report added.
He kept looking at his watch again and again on the stage of the program. He himself said on the mike, 'The road to Rajkot is bad, next time I will come leisurely."
He cut short his speech and hurriedly left Junagadh for Rajkot with the convoy. On the other hand, Sadhna had returned after visiting Girnar and was sitting in the waiting room.
After travelling for around 10 minutes, he realised that Sadhna was not with him. Then he immediately called her and returned with the convoy and left for Rajkot with his wife.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday (July 29, 2025) confirmed that three terrorists who were involved in the killing of civilians were eliminated by the security forces during Operation Mahadev. Mr. Shah said this as he began his address in Lok Sabha amid the ongoing debate on Operation Sindoor and informed that those who killed our citizens in the ghastly Pahalgam terror attack have been killed. "In a joint Operation Mahadev, the Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police have neutralised three terrorists who were involved in the Pahalgam terror attack," Mr. Shah said while addressing the lower house. "Innocent civilians were killed in front of their families by asking their religion. I condemn this barbaric act. I express my sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones," he added. On Monday, three terrorists were killed in Operation Mahadev in an intense firefight with security forces in the Harwan area near Dachigam National Park of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in Parliament, BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda told the House that it appears that at least one terrorist involved in the Pahalgam attack has been neutralised in an ongoing anti-terror operation, Mahadev, in Jammu and Panda said, "As we were debating this issue today, some of us must have seen in the news that an Operation Mahadev is being conducted in Jammu and Kashmir, targeted at terrorists and it appears that at least one of those eliminated today was involved in the Pahalgam attack." The anti-terror Operation Mahadev took place in the general area of Lidwas, Chinar Corps of the Indian Army said."OP MAHADEV - Contact established in General Area Lidwas. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday informed the Lok Sabha that there was enough proof that the three terrorists slain in Operation Mahadev were from Pakistan, adding that even chocolates found with them were made in Islamabad. Slamming the Opposition, Shah said that the Union government has Pakistan's voter list. 'We have confirmed the terrorists' Pakistani links. We have Pakistan's voter list. What will you get by saving Pakistan? Who are you trying to save?' The Union Home Minister reiterated that the three terrorists were Pakistanis. 'I want to tell him we have the proof that all three terrorists were from Pakistan. All their rifles, and even the chocolates we found, were made in Pakistan,' he said. Lashkar-e-Taiba top commander Suleman, involved in the Pahalgam terror attack, was among the three terrorists killed by security forces during the recent Operation Mahadev in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah told the Parliament.
