Bob Dylan announces tour with 2 Glasgow dates – how to get tickets
Dylan is set to play at Glasgow's SEC Armadillo venue on November 16 and 17.
(Image: Getty Images) The shows will be phone-free, and people will be asked to put their phones in a Yondr pouch, which closes automatically when in the venue and unlocks in the venue's concourse.
Dylan last performed in Scotland in 2024, when he did two dates in Edinburgh's Usher Hall in November as part of the same tour.
It comes amid a surge in interest in the Hurricane singer's career, following the release of the biopic A Complete Unknown last year, which starred Timothee Chalamet as Dylan and followed the story of his career beginnings and infamous decision to go electric in the mid-1960s.
The singer is one of the most acclaimed songwriters of all time, winning 10 Grammys and being nominated on 38 further occasions. Dylan has had six UK top 10 singles and nine UK number one albums.
He began his career in 1962 with the single Mixed-Up Confusion, which failed to chart in the UK and US.
(Image: Getty Images) But he shot to stardom with a string of successful singles in 1965, including The Times They Are A-Changin', Subterranean Homesick Blues and Like A Rolling Stone.
He was the first songwriter to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2016, with the Swedish academy crediting him with 'having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition'.
Dylan's songs have been covered by the likes of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Rolling Stones and Adele.

Bianca Censori flashes huge smile in tiny outfit on date with Kanye West
Bianca Censori looked uncharacteristically smiley as she stepped out for a family dinner with husband Kanye West yesterday. The Australian model, 30, has attracted media attention on multiple occasions since marrying the 48-year-old rapper in a private ceremony in 2022. Once an architectural designer for his brand, Yeezy, she's now synonymous with revealing outfits, having exposed some serious skin on both red carpets and during casual outings with her other half. Typically, while Bianca wears very little on her body, she always has a stoic expression plastered across her face, seldom smiling, even for paparazzi at major A-list events. But when grabbing food with Ye in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday, she couldn't have appeared happier. Whether breaking character was due to the company she was keeping or something else, we'll never know, but we're sure some good food helped with her mood, as the A-list lovebirds dined at Denny's. Along with showcasing her pearly whites, however, Bianca also displayed her lean physique, opting to go braless in a tiny ensemble. She wore a super low-cut, baby blue cami top with spaghetti straps, teamed with a pair of tight-fitting micro shorts. Bianca also wore her raven locks in a natural, straight style in a hairdo that has seen her likened to Ye's ex-wife and mother of his children, Kim Kardashian, in the past. In contrast, during their outing, the Gold Digger hitmaker was, as usual, fully clothed, sporting a black tracksuit and a stern expression. KFC is bringing back two axed menu items by ‘obsessive demand' in US
Colonel Sanders and his greasy-fingered army appear to be in a generous mood this summer as KFC is answering years of public pleas. From Monday (August 18), the chain will be bringing back its long-gone and much-missed Potato Wedges and Hot & Spicy Wings to its restaurants right across the United States. The wedges, a KFC staple since the mid-1990s, became a real fan favourite before being controversially dropped from the colonel's menu back in 2020. The wings, known for their fiery kick, last appeared nearly two years ago. The bad news? Over the years, thousands of KFC fans have taken to social media to share memories of - and fondness for -the thick-cut potatoes, while others signed petitions urging the fast-food giant to bring them back. KFC even tested a local relaunch earlier this year down in Tampa, Florida, which led to rapid sell-outs in multiple outlets.
