Estrange camp hoping for rain ahead of Yorkshire Oaks
Minnie Hauk appears O'Brien's chief hope after completing the English-Irish Oaks double at Epsom and the Curragh. Whirl, a neck behind her stablemate at Epsom and a dual Group One winner since, is also in the potential line-up alongside Garden Of Eden and Bedtime Story.

Estrange, trained by David O'Meara for owner-breeders Cheveley Park Stud, progressed through the levels to take the Listed Gillies Fillies' Stakes at Doncaster last year before returning to action this term to win both the Lester Piggott Stakes and the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock.
Her only defeat to date came on good to firm ground at Yarmouth last season and connections are hoping at least some rain falls over York as they look to chart a path to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at ParisLongchamp in October.
'It depends which forecast you look at, and I am probably guilty of looking at the one I want to look at rather than the one I don't!' said Cheveley Park's managing director Chris Richardson on the chance of rain at York.

'But she's very well, a bit of ease in the ground would be helpful. She's working well but this just happens to be a year of fast ground.
'We're working back from the autumn so we will see how we go and how we plan from here on out.
'If she can't run then there are some entries abroad we can look at, she's in the Fillies & Mares (on Champions Day at Ascot) and obviously the Arc later in the year.'

Day two of the Ebor Festival kicks off with the Sky Bet Lowther Stakes, a Group Two event over six furlongs, for which 12 juvenile fillies have stood their ground.
Walker's Royal Fixation, second by a neck to Venetian Sun in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes, heads the market, while Ryan Moore is booked to ride Richard Hughes' 12-length Haydock winner America Queen.
George Scott's Princess Margaret runner-up Staya is in the mix, as are Tim Easterby's ultra-consistent Argentine Tango and Brian Ellison's Wor Faayth.

Speaking ahead of the US Open, where Raducanu shot to fame by winning the 2021 event as a qualifier, she expressed her surprise at the desire to find out about her dating life. The British star was the subject of romance rumours with Carlos Alcaraz over the summer Rumours had intensified after Raducanu watched Alcaraz at Queen's after their mixed doubles pairing at the US Open had been announced 'I guess I'm like, it comes with the territory, people being so curious,' Raducanu told the Guardian. 'I think they're more curious about this news than any tennis results and tennis news. 'But I just keep myself to myself, my private life to one side. The scrutiny on Raducanu's dating life had reached a bizarre level when fellow British star Cameron Norrie had been asked about a possible romance between the pair during Wimbledon. The 22-year-old had previously explained to Daily Mail Sport that her friendship with Alcaraz, a five-time Grand Slam champion, had stemmed from the pair growing up on tour together. 'He's so nice, very happy, amazing values and just a really positive light to be around,' said Raducanu. 'I've known him for years. Wimbledon 2021 was the first time I started getting to know him. He was always playing the day before me, I would see him win and then I would have motivation to win and get myself into that position too. The British No 1 has shown impressive signs ahead of the US Open, where she triumphed in 2021 'It was really cool to go through that tournament together and then I kept going through the US Open, we were staying in touch for the whole time and, yeah, it's nice. 'We have a good relationship still. He's obviously overtaken me a lot, but it's nice that we have that from a while ago. 'I think, for all of us, we really value those connections we had from when we were young. 'When you become a bit more known or more successful, you find yourself reverting back people you knew from a young age because you're like, that's a real genuine connection.

Keely Hodgkinson admits injury absence since Olympics has been upsetting
Hodgkinson will return to the track on Saturday in the 800 metres at the Silesia Diamond League meet, though Hodgkinson's signature event is not a 'diamond' discipline in Poland. 'It's been a frustrating year for real,' said Hodgkinson, who still hopes to be in fighting shape for the world championships in Tokyo, now less than one month away. 'Coming back into June, not being able to do anything and it had been so long, coming off the back of winning the Olympics last year, not ideal at all that I couldn't even get on the start line. 'It's definitely been a bit upsetting at times. Missing London was hardest for me, because it was so good last year. I just wanted to be there in front of my home crowd, especially coming back after the Olympics. 'It's been frustrating but it makes the good times sweeter and it makes it even better to be here now. 'I think tomorrow is just a stepping stone on the way there. I'm looking forward to getting out there, just being competitive again. I've come out ready to go, so I'm just excited to put something together.' Hodgkinson was forced to pull out of the inaugural edition of her eponymous Keely Klassic event in February, then the Stockholm and London Diamond Leagues. It was at the latter last season that Hodgkinson set a new national record of one minute 54.61 seconds in the 800 metres, weeks before becoming just the third British female Olympic champion at the distance after Ann Packer and Dame Kelly Holmes. Hodgkinson's trip to Poland has already got off to a speedy start. She revealed: 'The guys yesterday, the organisers, picked us up in a Porsche, we get about 10 minutes in and they were like, 'do you want to drive it?' 'I was like, 'of course I want to drive it!'. He was actually being serious, so I got in the car and drove it all the way back. It was fun.' Hodgkinson had to sit out her Keely Klassic event (David Dvaies/PA) Hodgkinson hopes to secure her first world title in Japan after back to back silvers at the last two championships, and is making the best of what remains in her control. The Lausanne Diamond League on August 20th – where the 800 metres is a diamond discipline, is next up. Hodgkinson added: 'It's been a long time. Over a year since Paris. It wasn't my plan to be this late, but I'm just super happy to get back on the start line. 'I've missed it. I've missed it a lot. This is what I trained to do, so I can't wait to go out there and just give it my absolute best and we'll see what happens.'

The 26-year-old has so far enjoyed a dream career–winning the Premier League with Liverpool and helping Argentina to Copa America and World Cup triumphs–but he initially struggled after arriving in England. Mac Allister signed for Brighton from Argentinos Juniors in January 2019 but was loaned back before spending time alongside his brother Kevin at Boca Juniors the following season. After impressing during these spells in his homeland, Brighton recalled Mac Allister in January 2020, debuting against Wolves in March 2020. However, that turned out to be the Seagulls' final game before football shut down due to the covid-19 pandemic. The culture shock of swapping Argentina for England and the effects of the ongoing pandemic left Mac Allister feeling alone. He admitted to packing his bags and being ready to leave Brighton, which could have prevented him from becoming a hero for Liverpool and Argentina. 'As footballers, we always say that you become a man very early. But in other ways, you're still a boy,' Mac Allister wrote for Players' Tribune, reflecting on his time at Brighton in 2020. 'I was calling my mom on FaceTime every day, asking how to turn on the oven and where to put the detergent. And being alone, without playing, you get depressed. 'Many don't know this, but by that Christmas, with no fans in the stadiums, I had my bags packed. Literally, they were packed. I had two offers to leave — one from Russia and another from Spain, and my mind was made up. 'My mom was back in Buenos Aires, and I called her one day crying my eyes out, telling her, 'I quit. I can't do this anymore. But moms…. They always know what to say, don't they?' Mac Allister clearly listened to his mother's advice and stayed put at Brighton. When the Premier League resumed, he featured in all except one of the Seagulls' games. After a spell in and out of the team, Mac Allister became a regular starter the following season, with his displays eventually earning him a recall to the Argentina squad months before the 2022 World Cup. Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp later came calling for the World Cup winner, with Mac Allister being part of a midfield overhaul that laid the foundations for Arne Slot 's title-winning side. Mac Allister, who also paid an emotional tribute to Diogo Jota, is acutely aware of how differently his career could have gone if he had ignored his mother in 2020. 'I have to give a big hug to my mother,' Mac Allister said. 'Without her, none of this would have happened. I would not be a Premier League champion. I certainly would not be a World Cup champion. Maybe you would not even know my name.' He added: 'Can you imagine if I had left for Spain? For Russia? I would be an answer in one of those pub quizzes they have in England. 'Next question: who was the Argentinian guy with the Irish name who played 15 games for Brighton? Ahhhh, damn. Who was that guy? Mac something… What happened to him?' But no, that was not my fate. My mom saved me.' Mac Allister made 35 appearances as Liverpool won the Premier League title by 10 points last term. As he prepares to help the Reds defend their crown, the midfielder admits to being proud of not giving up on his dream. 'In 2020, my name was nothing. I couldn't get a game for Brighton,' Mac Allister recalled. 'I was crying with my mom on FaceTime, begging to come home. Two years later, I was a World Cup Champion. Then a Copa América champion. Now I'm a Premier League champion. Even a Ballon D'Or nominee. 'That's football, no? It's so crazy. The only way that I can explain my story is that I never gave up. That's what I'd like to teach my daughter in a few years. Yes, Daddy fought against a lot of things, but he knew how to overcome them all. You just keep fighting. That's the great lesson.'
