Daily Mirror09-07-2025
Global pop star Billie Eilish has a busy summer ahead with plans to play a mammoth six dates in London as part of her highly-anticipated Hit Me Hard and Soft tour
Brits are getting more excited by the day as Billie Eilish officially opens the UK leg of her much anticipated Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour — with the musician set to play six dates in London alone.
She started her journey across the British Isles with a show in Glasgow, Scotland on Monday, July 7. Clips from the concert were shared and went viral on social media platforms, as fans started to look forward to the Grammy Award-winning artist coming to their city.
But for many, however, they were dealt a huge dose of FOMO - the fear of missing out. With demand surging for tickets, and basically every gig completely sold out, their options are running out as they desperately claw for any opportunity to reserve their place.
Billie has been on tour since September 2024 when she started performing out in Canada. This was before she ventured throughout the US, Australia, and a number of countries in Europe such as France, Italy, and Germany among others.
Now she's landed in the UK and has a bunch of dates not only in the capital but also in Manchester. If you don't have a ticket, there's no need to feel defeated just yet as The Mirror may be able to help you out.
Billie Eilish London dates
The 23-year-old global superstar is set to perform an incredible six nights at London's O2. Her first is on July 10th, before subsequent shows on July 11, July 13, July 14, July 16 before finishing on July 17.
How to get last minute Billie Eilishtickets
The best way to find tickets to any of Billie's shows, not just in London but also perhaps Manchester or even Dublin, is to go on official ticket resale platforms. Options include Ticketmaster, Viagogo and Stub Hub.
Please note that these platforms have a limited number of tickets available, so you need to be quick if you want to buy a ticket. Best advice is to keep checking these sites regularly up until the day of the concert, as people may suddenly need to resell their tickets should they no longer be able to attend.

Broadway Week is back with more unbeatable two-for-one ticket deals

Broadway attendance is at a historical high, but sales still tend to dip in September and January, even for the very best Broadway shows. To address that issue, the industry has come up with Broadway Week, a twice-annual half-price sale for tickets to nearly every Broadway production. The name is just a bit misleading: The discounted period in question actually lasts for several weeks. The latest iteration will span from September 8 through September 21, 2025—and the twofer tickets go on sale at 10am ET on Tuesday, August 19. To get the most out of Broadway Week, the trick is to be ready to go when the floodgates open. Visit the Broadway ticket vendors Telecharge and Ticketmaster in advance to make sure that your accounts and credit cards there are up to date. Then, at 10am on August 19, go to Broadway Week website to peruse the list of participating shows and snatch up the best seats for the ones you want most. The tickets sold through Broadway Week tend to be ones that producers are most eager to sell: in balconies, mezzanines and side areas. But in recent years, the Broadway Week program has offered an additional option: If you want the best seats in the house, you can upgrade your order and pay $125 for tickets that might otherwise cost a whole lot more. One wrinkle: The list of participating Broadway shows is not revealed until the tickets actually go on sale, so you can't decide in advance which ones to try for. If history is any guide, however, it is likely that every—or very nearly every—Broadway production will participate in some capacity this September, including many of our critic's picks and past winners of Tony Awards. We'll update this page with a full list when it goes live on Tuesday.

The surprising parts of Braveheart that were ACCURATE: From William Wallace's execution to Robert the Bruce becoming King of Scotland... after Brian Cox brands film 'b******s'

Ever since its release in 1995, Braveheart has been a whipping boy for scholars. All of its historical inaccuracies - ranging from Mel Gibson 's blue painted face to its garbled chronology - have been gleefully pointed out. And further fuel was poured on the fire this week by one of the film's stars, Brian Cox, who said the Oscar-winning production was 'b******s'. Speaking at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Cox added that the film is a 'f***ing lie, the whole thing', and added he only agreed to portray Wallace's fictional uncle Argyle, after Gibson pleaded with him. But the tale of Scotland's push for 'freeeeeeedom!' against the tyrannical English did get a few things right. The Scots were defeated at the Battle of Falkirk One of the many fighting scenes in the film depicts 1298 Battle of Falkirk, which ended with Scottish defeat. Troops led by Wallace fought valiantly but ultimately succumbed to the strength of the English army headed by King Edward I. The version of the battle in Braveheart accurately depicts the desertion of the Scottish cavalry as defeat loomed. Around 2,000 men on each side were killed, though the English force triumphed in part because of its overwhelming numerical superiority. William Wallace was betrayed In Braveheart, Wallace is betrayed by noblemen Mornay and Lochlan in the lead-up to the Battle of Falkirk. Gibson's character goes on to kill the pair as revenge for their treachery. Although Mornay and Lochlan were Hollywood inventions, Wallace really was betrayed. The treachery of Scottish nobleman John Mnteith - who was not depicted in Braveheart - led to his capture near Glasgow in 1305. William Wallace was gruesomely executed One of the final scenes in Braveheart depicts Wallace's gruesome execution. The Scot was hanged, drawn and quartered at Smithfield in London. The killing method involved hanging someone until they were nearly dead and then cutting off their genitals and disembowelling them while they were still alive. Gibson opted not to depict Wallace's death scene in graphic detail, and instead focused on his face as he was tortured and then cried out his message of defiance. Sticklers will have pointed out that Wallace would have been in no fit state to shout out anything after being subjected to such horrendous disfigurement. The English were defeated at Bannockburn The final scenes of Gibson's film depict the Scottish victory at the Battle of Bannockburn. The clash, which took place in June 1314, saw Robert the Bruce's Scots defeat English troops led by Edward II. Robert's victory at Bannockburn put paid to Edward's plans to conquer Scotland. In Braveheart, the ramshackle Scots charge at their enemies as the film ends by showing Wallace's sword - having been thrown by Argyle - sticking out of the ground and wavering in the wind. Robert the Bruce did become King of Scotland Braveheart's depiction of Robert the Bruce leading his men into battle at Bannockburn comes after he has been crowned as Scotland's king. Robert became King of the Scots at Scone, near Perth, in 1306. After the formal inauguration, he agreed to be crowned for a second time by the Isabella MacDuff, the Countess of Buchan. That moment is immortalised in a tableau on display at Edinburgh Castle. Robert reigned until his death in 1329, when he was succeeded by his son, King David II.

Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay looks unrecognisable in unearthed photo before iconic cut

Known for his 'Lego style' bowl cut, gleaming white teeth and huge sunglasses, Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay looks completely different in new snaps from his younger years Viral raver Jack Kay looks unrecognisable in an incredible unearthed snap that reveals exactly what he looked like before his 'Ibiza Final Boss' transformation. ‌ It's hard to imagine the 26-year-old Geordie without his signature 'Lego' haircut, gleaming 'Turkey teeth' and signature oversized shades, but his pre-Ibiza look has finally been uncovered. ‌ In the photo, baby-faced Jack is seen enjoying a pint with his mates - but it's tough to pick him out in the line-up of lads. The party animal - who went viral for his 'Battle of Hastings' bob while throwing shapes on the White Isle - has his arm round a pal as the group pose for a picture in front of a fruit machine. ‌ Jack sports a short, back and sides haircut, but it is miles away from the medium skin fade that has become synonymous with the viral star since a video of him dancing gained more than 26 million views on TikTok. It is unclear when the snap - which was shared with The Mirror and t he Daily Star - was taken, but he appears in his late teens. In another image taken more recently, his sculpted facial hair is visible and his barnet is longer on top, but it's still not his final Ibiza Boss form. It comes as "Boss fever" ramped up across the UK and Ibiza. Jack has used his newfound viral stardom to launch nightclub tours on the party island and has even been seen filming a brief video with controversial adult star Bonnie Blue. He is also said to be launching a music career to take his fame to new heights. Jack featured on a new dance track released on Spotify this week after he signed with a management team. ‌ Meanwhile, a hardcore fan has had a tattoo of his face on their leg and an artist in Nottingham has painted a mural of Jack's likeness near a skatepark. Jack shot to fame when Zero Six West Ibiza posted footage on TikTok of him dancing at a club in a chain and black tank top holding a drink. It was viewed by millions and sparked hundreds of memes and jokes. Companies like Greggs and EasyJet soon made marketing parodies of the meme and he was dubbed the "Ibiza Final boss", a reference to the last and typically most difficult enemy to face in a video game. Jack now has more than 120,000 followers on Instagram and more than 800,000 likes on TikTok. ‌ But it's not all 'eat sleep, rave repeat' for the Geordie lad, as there's apparently trouble in paradise for the star. He's reportedly fighting to save his relationship with his glamorous girlfriend Alisha Cook, who 'dumped' him over his partying ways. The 'break-up' allegedly came while Jack was out in Ibiza, but just before he found viral fame. ‌ The raver had reportedly already been "skating on thin ice" before the Ibiza trip, which ultimately tipped their dynamic over the edge. A friend of Jack's told Mail Online: "Alisha called it off when Jack went to Ibiza with the lads. They'd been together for almost a year, and he was living at her place, but things hadn't been right for months. "His car is still on her drive, she threw all his clothes in the back of it. She doesn't want him around anymore. She's had inklings that something was not right for a while. She just wants to wash her hands of him. Alisha is so beautiful. No one is quite sure what she saw in him." After their dramatic 'split', the couple seemed to kiss and make up just as Jack's notoriety skyrocketed. Alisha seemed to confirm that they are back on when she posted TikToks last week, naming herself as his girlfriend. In a video captioned "POV: ya boyfriend's now known as Ibiza Final Boss", Alisha and Jack can be seen looking close, suggesting a reconciliation. These clips have since been made private, adding to the intrigue; however, Jack's mate confirmed the couple are giving things another go.
