Amanda Holden's urgent plea as 'career-threatening' blunder leaves her panicked
Heart Radio presenter Amanda Holden has told fans about a humorous mix-up that she believes "could potentially be terrible" for her. Live on-air on Wednesday, her co-star Jamie Theakston asked if what she had done was "career-threatening" for her, to which she firmly replied: "Yes!".
Explaining the story, the 54-year-old said she recently had a camera installed in her garden to create a time-lapse of her garden project. Fitted by her trusted electrician Andy, she believed it wasn't going to be switched on until the coming Friday.
After getting him round her house to sort another job however, he informed her that it had been live from the moment he fitted it in. Detailing the awkward moment, she said: "I get him round the other day because I needed something else putting up, and he goes, 'I'll have a look at what we're doing to make sure the angle is alright on that camera', he said, 'It's been going for the last couple of days'.
"I went, 'I beg your pardon?!' He said, 'Oh yeah, I've downloaded the app', he said, 'I just need to make sure the angle is right'."
The Britain's Got Talent judge proceeded to ask Jamie: "Can you imagine what I've got up to in my garden in a couple of days?".
After her co-star speculated about the concerning footage, Amanda confessed that since the camera was fitted, she had mowed the grass naked and had cheekily flashed her husband.
"I'm always naked in my back garden," she continued. "I've definitely been naked, and for a joke the other day, I was sorting something out in the garden and my husband waved at me from the bedroom window, and I flashed my boobs at him, because I thought this is funny and I went 'wahoo' [flashing] like that."
Amanda insisted that she had not only forgot about the camera due to it blending in with her drainpipe, but also didn't realise it was already live.
What's more, is the electrician has access to the camera from his phone, as all footage is automatically downloaded to a file.
"I had no idea it was up, and now Andy is going to be reviewing this footage and I need it all deleted," she shared.
"It exists! Naked lawnmowing and me flashing my boobs to my husband," she continued.
Jamie went on jokingly suggest that her naked antics would be brilliant for a show, to which she humorously agreed.
"I'd go [to] Netflix, Netflix can have it," she joked.
In the hope that her electrician was listening to the show, she issued an urgent plea, adding: "If Andy is listening, get round [to] my house! Delete [the footage from] Monday and Tuesday.
"And I'm not joking Andy, I need that camera turned off because I've got all the school mums coming round, and that is terrible."

Will there be a season 3 of The Sandman? Latest news as season 2 ends
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Up Next Previous Page Next Page Today marks the highly anticipated drop of the last remaining episodes of The Sandman season 2. Fans were devastated to discover that this will be the last ever instalment of the hit show. Netflix has already announced that this will be the last we see of Dream (Tom Sturridge). The announcement came in the wake of serious sexual assault allegations made against the show's co-developer and writer, Neil Gaiman. Often referred to as Stranger Things' long-lost brother, the Netflix series has received great reviews – and has a score of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. The second season focuses on love and loss as Dream looks to rebuild everything he has lost since season one. Will there be a season 3 of The Sandman? Fans were gutted to discover this is the last ever season of the popular dark drama (Picture: Netflix) Well, if that information didn't solidify the answer for you… No, there won't be a Sandman season three. Dream's adventures come to an end today, as the streaming service releases the final five episodes. The Sandman's showrunner, Allan Heinberg, did not mention Gaiman nor the allegations when he shared a statement on behalf of the show's conclusion. 'The Sandman series has always been focused exclusively on Dream's story, and back in 2022, when we looked at the remaining Dream material from the comics, we knew we only had enough story for one more season,' he told Netflix's Tudum. Many fans were left confused after Heinberg's statement, as The Sandman comic has 75 issues – which seems a lot to squeeze into two seasons. Still, it's not all bad news. On July 31, Netflix will release a special episode focused on Dream's sister Death, which will serve as an epilogue of sorts to the show. How many episodes of The Sandman are there? Dream suffers many complex relationships and encounters throughout the season (Picture: Netflix, Inc./Ed Miller. All Rights Reserved) There are 22 episodes across two seasons of The Sandman (that's eleven in each season). Netflix dropped the series in two halves, keeping viewers hanging on that cliff. The first six episodes of the new season dropped on July 3, with the following five landing on Netflix today. Comic fans will be gutted to learn that this is the last they will see of the Mortals, Dreams, Endless and Other beings. Who is in the cast of The Sandman? There has been lots of controversy surrounding the series due to serious allegations against the co-developer and writer, Neil Gaiman (Picture:) Tom Sturridge leads the cast as Dream, AKA The Sandman, who is responsible for watching over all of humanity as they sleep. In these tumultuous episodes, Dream attempts to rebuild his kingdom as he embarks on his epic final journey. The cast all work tightly together to ensure dreams run smoothly, with many dark twists and turns. The Sandman cast Dream – Tom Sturridge Lucienne – Vivienne Acheampong Matthew the Raven – Patton Oswalt The Corinthian – Boyd Holbrook Desire – Mason Alexander-Park Nada – Umulisa Gahiga Fate mother – Nina Wadier Fate Crone – Souard Faress Fate Maiden – Denita Gohil Death – Kirby (Formerly Kirby Howell-Baptiste) Lucifer Morningstar – Gwendoline Christie Rose Walker – Kyo Ra How are fans reacting to The Sandman season 2 part 2? Will the latest drop of episodes live up to fans' expectations?(Picture: COURTESY OF NETFLIX) Fans can't believe this is the last they will see of The Sandman cast as the streaming service has cancelled any possibility of a following season – despite its immense success. Some Sandman fans were gutted to learn that this would be the last release of the much-loved comic book adaptation. @waste-snow23 on Reddit said: 'I'm so so sad about this. I waited so many years for this adaptation. I understand why it was cancelled, but I loved the Sandman series dearly.' Don't let the Gaiman allegations ruin the dream... Our Deputy TV Editor, Tom Percival, shares his thoughts on The Sandman Season 2 Part 1… 'We do not choose to be created, nor do we choose how we are made.' In the first season of The Sandman on Netflix, these words are uttered by Lord Morpheus (Tom Sturridge), otherwise known as Dream. In the context of the show, Dream is referring to everyone's lack of agency in their inception. It's essentially a slightly pretentious way of saying 'you can't help where you come from'. Going into season 2, Morpheus's words feel especially apt due to the large shadow cast over the show by its co-creator, Neil Gaiman. While Gaiman denies the allegations, I understand why people may not want to watch the show. However, I believe so much more to the series than one man. In my opinion, The Sandman season two is every bit as beguiling, bold and brilliant as the first, managing to somehow elevate the source material. To take this back to the opening quote, Dream can't help who made him. So maybe we shouldn't let the circumstances of his creation rob us of arguably the best fantasy series Netflix has ever made. Read the full Sandman Season 2 review here. 'A big step up from Season 1. Kind of makes me sad that this is the last one.' @certainalbatross added. Other viewers were glad to see the demise of Gainman's emperor, @brat-sampsin98 said: 'He doesn't deserve to earn a penny. I'm glad he's seeing his legacy destroyed.' Fans noted that the streaming service's decision to axe the show was the right move considering the severity of the allegations made, but others felt for the cast who may have wished to tell the full story and have had their characters' journeys cut short. @ithinkther41am on Reddit said: 'It's really a shame Gaiman turned out to be a monster, because this was clearly a labour of love for everyone involved.' The Sandman is available to watch now on Netflix. Got a story? Harry and Meghan's ‘desperate' reason for reunion with Royal Family
It was reported last week that Prince Harry is seeking a reconciliation with King Charles and that his and Meghan's multimillion pound Netflix deal will soon come to an end. It was reported last week that a truce could be on the cards for King Charles and Prince Harry when aides for both royals met in London. Now a royal expert has had his say on the alleged reconciliation following reports that Harry and wife Meghan Markle 's lucrative deal with Netflix could be coming to an end. Robert Hobson reckons that Harry and Meghan are now looking for 'handouts' from the King after Harry caused controversy earlier this year when he told a BBC interviewer he was no longer in touch with the monarch. Speaking on the Sun's Royal Exclusive show, Jobson said: 'Well, the deal was always set at about $100 million, wasn't it? And the talk of that figure sort of blew a lot of people's minds, but I think that was for productions and things that they're supposed to have done. 'Where does it leave them? Probably with a bit of a bowl out, looking for some handouts. Maybe that's why they were over with their staff, were over here having discussions with the King. I don't know. 'The reality is in the past they got support from the King and the late Queen , and they said they were going to go and make their way. They've lost Spotify, they've lost Netflix. They can't rely on the spare money forever, can they?' Jobson was joined on the show, as writes the Mirror, by Sky News royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills, who voiced her own suggestions on what Harry and Meghan could be set to do when the contract with Netflix ends in September. She said: 'It's just fascinating. They have this very expensive lifestyle. They have to pay for their security, pay for that big mansion. How do you kind of keep the money coming in?' Reports surfaced earlier this month that Netflix will not be renewing its five-year deal - believed to be worth about £100million - with the Sussexes when it finishes up. Since signing up with the streaming giant in September 2020, they've collaborated on three big projects - their 2021 docuseries Harry & Meghan, Harry's polo documentary and Meghan's lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan. However it was reported that the big-budget projects failed to bring in the audience numbers that Netflix bosses had wanted. With Love, Meghan was the 383rd most watched show worldwide while Polo came in at 3,436th place with just 500,000 views. Harry previously told Oprah Winfrey in a 2021 interview that the deals with the likes of Netflix 'were never part of the plan' but they were forced to take them on in the wake of them being denied official security following their exit from royal duties. He said: "That was suggested by somebody else by the point where my family literally cut me off financially, and I had to afford security for us." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
