Moment rapper stops concert to 26,000 fans to berate ‘irresponsible' mum who brought her one-year-old BABY to gig

THIS is the awkward moment a famous Colombian rapper stopped his concert to berate a mum for bringing her baby. Maluma, 31, was performing in Mexico City when he suddenly spotted the tot in the crowd - prompting him to tell the mum off for "waving them around like they're a toy". 4 Maluma scolded a fan for bringing her baby to his Mexico City concert 4 The rapper said he would never bring his one-year-old daughter, named Paris, to a concert Credit: Instagram 4 Some have accused the rapper of overreacting When the rapper was well into his show at Palacio de los Deportes in the Mexican capital over the weekend, he stopped the music to strike up a conversation with a mum. The rapper, currently on his +Pretty +Dirty World Tour, said in Spanish: 'With all due respect, how old are they?' He continued: 'A year old? Less? Do you think it's a good idea to bring a one-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this f***ing high? 'That baby doesn't even know what it's doing here.' A video of the rapper's rant has since gone viral online. Maluma, who has a one-year-old daughter with his girlfriend Susana Gomez, told the mum she should have taken precautions to protect the baby's ears. 'Next time, protect their ears or something,' he said. 'For real. It's heavy. It's your responsibility.' He went on to scold her, saying he would never do that as a parent. 'You're waving them around like they're a toy,' he said. 'That baby doesn't want to be there, for real. I'm telling you with all love and respect, now that I'm a father… would never bring them to a concert. For the next time, be a bit more aware.' Justin Timberlake fans fear for 'tired' star after series of 'lazy' performances on world tour Maluma's remarks have sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some praising his comments and others criticising him for shaming the mum. One person wrote on TikTok: 'Every mother knows what she has to do with her child. If not, they should limit the capacity to a certain age. "What's the point in putting her through that in front of so many people?' But another applauded him, writing: "He probably saved that kid from not being able to hear for the rest of his life." Others criticised the organisers and security for allowing a baby into a rap concert. Maluma's tour is set to continue across Latin America, the US and Europe. It comes as fans of Justin Timberlake recently slammed the singer for a string of "lazy performances" during his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which wrapped up on July 30. Critics claimed Justin was 'hardly singing' and leaning too much on the crowd, with many branding the shows 'lazy.' However, after his July 23 gig in Tbilisi, Georgia, a wave of support hit social media, with fans urging the pop star to rest.

Villareal and Barcelona set to play La Liga game in the USA

Villareal and Barcelona look set to hold a La Liga match outside of Europe for the first time in history. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed they received a request, from both club's, for Villareal's La Liga meeting with Barcelona, scheduled for December, to change venue to Miami at The Hard Rock Stadium. The RFEF released a statement saying: "At its meeting on 11 August 2025, the RFEF board of directors received a request from Villarreal CF and FC Barcelona to play their match on matchday 17 of the first division in the United States.' The proposition will now be decided by FIFA and UEFA, as well as the US Soccer Federation, and CONCACAF. The Spanish football supporters' association (FASFE) has condemned the decision, alongside Spanish football fans, saying 'We want to express our absolute, total, and firm opposition to the relocation of the #VillarrealCF - #FCBarcelona match to Miami.' They also urged RFEF to 'Stop the madness'. There have been rumours of some European leagues wanting to play games abroad previously. Since 2020, the Spanish Super Cup has been held in Saudi Arabia as part of a multi-year hosting agreement, except for the 2020–21 edition, which returned to Spain due to COVID-19 restrictions. The large majority of online fans have not reacted positively to the announcement with some questioning if it will open the floodgates for more league games to be played outside of Spain and if other leagues will follow. One fan posted on social media: 'I hope the Spanish football fans unite and protest this as much as I think they would here in England. 'There can be no doubt that more and more of this will happen, but taking away league games is ripping the game out at the root.' Another said: 'Saudi 'English' Premier League games just around the corner.' Get the latest sports headlines straight to your inbox by signing up for free email .

But when Maresca was asked to name the football personality he would most like to one of his favourite Portagas No 2 cigars with, the Italian gave a poignant answer - Antonio Puerta, who died aged 22 after suffering a cardiac arrest on the field. Maresca told Men in Blazers: 'That's a very good question. I will tell you, when I was 25, 26, I lost a team-mate inside the pitch. So if I could, I would like a cigar with him.' Midfielder Maresca had four seasons at Sevilla but his third campaign started in tragic fashion. Advertisement The Italian was on the field when, just 35 minutes into the opening game of the 2007/8 season - at home against Getafe - Puerta suffered a cardiac arrest. After the wing-back collapsed and lost consciousness in the penalty area, team-mates and medical staff rushed to his aid. Puerta recovered enough to walk to the dressing room but collapsed again there. He was resuscitated and rushed to hospital, where he had to receive more life-saving resuscitation. His girlfriend was expecting their first child at the time of his death. When Puerta passed away, Maresca and the rest of the Seville squad were already in Greece for a Champions League qualifier against AEK Athens. Advertisement Maresca, who played for Greek side Olympiakos later in his career, spoke about the tragedy when Chelsea went to Athens in October 2024 for a Conference League game against Panathinaikos. Maresca said: 'In terms of the season I spent here in Greece, for me it was very good with Olympiakos, a big rival with Panathinaikos. But unfortunately I lost a friend on the pitch when I was at Seville. 'The first game we played after that, we were already in Athens and just on that day, one of our team-mates passed away in Antonio Puerta. 'So it is a mixed feeling. The season in Athens was fantastic. But every time I come back here I am a little bit sad.' Advertisement The Champions League game against AEK, which had been scheduled for the evening of the day Puerta died, was postponed. When Sevilla faced AC Milan in the Uefa Super Cup on August 31, all 22 players had the name Puerta on the back of their shirts. Sergio Ramos, who had come through the Sevilla academy and into the first team with Puerta, wore T-shirts in memory of Puerta after Spain's triumphs at Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup. Jesus Navas, who was on the field on the day Puerta collapse, made the same gesture after the 2010 World Cup final.
