First picture of 'adored' gran killed in horror A75 van crash
Judith Malloy, 77, died in hospital following the crash on Wednesday morning.
An elderly woman who died in a horror van crash on the A75 has been named by police.
Emergency services raced to the collision at Auchenlarie in Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway, at 11.20am on Wednesday.
The crash involved a red Suzuki Ignis and a white Peugeot van.
Crews arrived at the scene and the passenger in the car, a 77-year-old woman, was found injured.
She was raced to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where she sadly died.
Police have named her as Judith Malloy.
Her heartbroken family told how their lives will "never be the same" following her death.
The statement, released via Police Scotland, reads: 'Judith was an adored wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she leaves behind family and many friends whose lives will never be the same.
"We will miss her every single day."
The driver and passenger of the van were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and have since been discharged.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Police say inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Constable Luke Bell said: 'Our thoughts are with Mrs Malloy's family and friends at this difficult time.
"We'll continue to liaise with them throughout our investigation.
'I'd like to thank everyone who has come forward with information to assist our enquiries.
'We are still looking for witnesses to this collision, if you can help, contact 101 quoting reference 1251 of 28 May.'

Police scrambled to the scene at around 10.30pm after the alarm was raised over reports of a knife assault. The boy was found bleeding on the pavement by shocked neighbours who rushed to his rescue while they waiting for emergency services. The boy was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged. Police have now confirmed that a teenager, also 15, has been charged with attempted murder. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court sometime today. A statement from the force read: "A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Glasgow. "Around 10.30pm on Thursday, 29 May, officers received a report of another 15-year-old male having been found seriously injured in the Denbeck Street area of Glasgow. Investigations have so far established that four individuals, all dressed in dark clothing, were seen fleeing the area and heading towards Shettleston Road and then onto Wellshot Road. Officers earlier appealed to anybody who may have witnessed the group to come forward. Detective Inspector Lesley-Ann McGee, from Shettleston CID, said: "This was a violent attack that left a teenage boy with serious injuries, and we are doing everything we can to trace those responsible. "I would urge anyone who saw what happened or noticed anything suspicious in the area to get in touch with police as soon as possible. "We're also keen to speak to anyone who may have private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage from Denbeck Street, Shettleston Road, Wellshot Road or the surrounding areas on Thursday night. "Any information, no matter how small, could help us as we continue our enquiries." Chief Inspector Ross Aitken, Area Commander for Shettleston and Easterhouse, said: "We recognise that this incident will be concerning to the local community. "At this time, we believe it was a targeted attack and there is no information to suggest any wider risk to the public. "There will be additional patrols in the area over the coming days to provide reassurance and support the ongoing inquiry. "I would encourage anyone with concerns to speak to our officers."
