Leah Williamson channelling memories of 2022 for Sweden
Sweden were England's semi-final opponents back in 2022, with a stunning 4-0 win booking their place in the showpiece.
'We're all in the same boat and that's what drives me on,' said Williamson. 'To do it alongside the team in 2022 was special. I was part of that squad and I'm forever proud to be part of it but we don't want it to be the only one.
'We want it to be more, you always want to do more. On that day I felt as happy as I've ever felt and that would've been enough for me.
'But the next day it creeps around and everyone wants more.'
A changing of the guard has since taken place between those halcyon days at Wembley, with Mary Earps, Fran Kirby and Rachel Daly retiring from international duty, Ellen White and Jill Scott exiting the professional game altogether.
Millie Bright has also withdrawn from this summer's tournament to prioritise her physical and mental recovery.
While they may no longer be part of the changing room, their presence is keenly felt within the corridors of England's base in Zurich's Dolder Grand Hotel, not least thanks to a WhatsApp group.
'It's mostly just good luck and well done or we believe in you',' answered Williamson when asked what conversations are like in the chat.
'When players have been part of a set-up, especially ones who aren't necessarily here and those players are still in the group chat and for whatever reason, for them to reinforce their belief in the team and wanting to be part of it speaks volumes of the group.
'The group chat was originally created for the celebrations so every time it pops up it isn't a bad thing.
'Most group chats we all archive or mute at different points but not that one.
'We're very tame. I wish we had more banter but that's not going to come from me!'

Celtic 'raise' Jakob Breum transfer offer with winger search surging as Daizen Maeda to Brentford addressed
Brendan Rodgers is keen to add more firepower to the Scottish champions frontline this summer Celtic have reportedly raised their offer fo Go Ahead Eagles star Jakob Breum. Brendan Rodgers is on the hunt for wide men and is said to be interested in the 21-year-old this summer. The Hoops are in dire need of reinforcements on the flanks after Nicolas Kuhn joined Como in a £17.2million deal - while Jota is sidelined until next year which has left Celtic short. But the Glasgow Times report that interest in Breum is now intensifying after an original £1.5million offer was knocked back. The Scottish champions are said to have returned with a £1.75million that included add-ons - but it has now been raised again with £3million "put on the table." It is claimed that a £6.5million price tag has been placed on Breum by the Eagles - with the Dutch Cup holders unwilling to accept a "knockdown" offer. In terms of outgoings, versatile forward Daizen Maeda is reportedly on Brentford's agenda as they look to replace Bryan Mbeumo following his move to Manchester United. Despite Maeda stating his focus is on the Hoops going into the new season, the murmur has persisted amid reports of a £25million valuation from Parkhead chiefs. But former Celt Charlie Mulgrew insists the time is not right for the Japan international to seal a Premier League switch. Mulgrew told Go Radio: 'He probably could (handle the Premier League) with that pace and power. There is a lot of pace and power down there now. "There is a lot of off-the-ball pressing, which he would be perfect for, and counter pressing. He counter-presses teams by himself. "As soon as he loses it in their third, he chases three or four men, and he is a dream to play with. "As a defender, when somebody presses that high up the pitch. It makes your job so much easier because you can stand on the halfway line and kind of people rush passes back to you. 'He could do it down south. But he is getting towards 30 now, so I don't think he will go." Keir Starmer makes surprise appearance at Euros final with wife Victoria
Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who is due to meet Donald Trump in Scotland tomorrow, has been spotted with his wife Victoria in the stadium crowds in Basel Keir Starmer has made a surprise appearance at the Euros final in Switzerland to support the Lionesses The Prime Minister, who is due to meet Donald Trump in Scotland tomorrow, has been spotted with his wife Victoria in the stadium crowds in Basel. He was seen watching the pitch with intense eyes as England's women's team kicked off the match a against Spain. Writing in today's Sunday Mirror, the Prime Minister spoke about his joy of taking his daughter to see the Lionesses in the semi-final of the last Euros tournament in 2022. He said it was a "special moment" seeing his daughter stay long after the final whistle to watch the team celebrate their win. The Lionesses went on to win the last Euros tournament, beating Germany in the final at Wembley Stadium in London. The PM this morning declared: "Let's bring it home again." Mr Starmer said: "Whatever happens tonight, this team have already written their names in the history books. They've shown the best of our national character. Not just their skill, grit and determination, but their calm-headedness. No matter the pressure they're under. "I will always remember taking my daughter to see the Lionesses in the semi-final of the last Euros, and I know she'll always remember it too. She stayed long after the final whistle, watching the team celebrate. It was a special moment for me – one that is repeated up and down the country every time they play. "Because football not just entertains but inspires. That's what this squad does. And it's why so many young women look up to them." The Prince of Wales and his daughter Princess Charlotte have also been pictured in Switzerland ahead of the Euros final as the royal family led the nation in wishing good luck to England's Lionesses. Shortly before kick-off, a picture of William and Charlotte was posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales's X account with the caption "let's go, Lionesses". Elsewhere, Mr Starmer is facing calls to grant an extra bank holiday if the Lionesses win the Euros 2025 final on Sunday. The Prime Minister previously backed calls for a "proper day of celebration" for the nation when England women's football team reached the final in the last Euros tournament in 2022, which was hosted by England. The then-Opposition Leader told the Mirror: 'The whole country will be roaring on the Lionesses in the final... They have already done us proud, but if they win it will be a truly historic achievement - one that should be marked with a proper day of celebration, where clubs can open and promote access for women and girls.' England went on to win the match against Germany but the Tory government did not grant a bank holiday for the nation to celebrate the historic victory. In its latest update, before the Lionesses roared to victory last week, Downing Street said it was "not aware of any plans" for an extra bank holiday. The PM's official spokesman said he didn't want to jinx it before the team had reached the final. Asked about the prospect of one, the PM's spokesman said on Tuesday: "I'm not aware of any plans for that but when it comes to backing the Lionesses, the PM is sending his best wishes ahead of the semi finals. We cannot get ahead of ourselves."

Millwall in transfer talks to sign Luton Town star Alfie Doughty in latest move
EXCLUSIVE: Millwall are looking to bolster their attacking options with a deal for Alfie Doughty, who could leave Luton Town as they gear up for their League One opener Millwall are in talks with Luton Town in a bid to try and strike a deal for Alfie Doughty. The 25-year-old left wing-back was one of Luton's star performers in the Premier League before the Hatters suffered consecutive relegations and has been the subject of transfer interest this summer with the club now preparing for life in League One. And Mirror Football understands that Millwall have made a play to try and sign Doughty ahead of Luton's season opener next Friday. The Lions are admirers of Doughty and would deploy him in a more advanced role in their attack rather than at left-back, where they are currently well stocked. Landing a player of Doughty's quality would be another statement of intent from Millwall, who broke their transfer record to sign Josh Coburn from Middlesbrough earlier this summer. A return to the Championship would appeal to Doughty, who was also linked with a move last summer before staying put at Kenilworth Road. The player was pulled from the starting XI shortly before kick-off in Luton's pre-season friendly against Tottenham on Saturday. Matt Bloomfield revealed after the game that transfer speculation was behind Doughty's absence. 'Listen, Alfie has had interest all through the summer because he's a player who played at a very good level,' the Hatters boss said, via Luton Today. 'In the Premier League he had a very good season and last year he showed some real top moments, so he has had some interest, Alfie, and I'm sure that will go on for the rest of the window. 'It was the right decision I made before the game, post team sheets, was that he wouldn't play, so that was the way the game went. I just said in the other room, there's a lot going on in pre-season. 'It's very rare, I think, that both teams change their left full-backs between team sheets and kick-off, which happened today, so it was the right decision for Alfie not to play but I'm sure he'll be absolutely fine and we'll welcome him back into the group as soon as we can, but he'll be fine.'
