Leah Williamson channelling memories of 2022 for Sweden
Sweden were England's semi-final opponents back in 2022, with a stunning 4-0 win booking their place in the showpiece.
'We're all in the same boat and that's what drives me on,' said Williamson. 'To do it alongside the team in 2022 was special. I was part of that squad and I'm forever proud to be part of it but we don't want it to be the only one.
'We want it to be more, you always want to do more. On that day I felt as happy as I've ever felt and that would've been enough for me.
'But the next day it creeps around and everyone wants more.'
A changing of the guard has since taken place between those halcyon days at Wembley, with Mary Earps, Fran Kirby and Rachel Daly retiring from international duty, Ellen White and Jill Scott exiting the professional game altogether.
Millie Bright has also withdrawn from this summer's tournament to prioritise her physical and mental recovery.
While they may no longer be part of the changing room, their presence is keenly felt within the corridors of England's base in Zurich's Dolder Grand Hotel, not least thanks to a WhatsApp group.
'It's mostly just good luck and well done or we believe in you',' answered Williamson when asked what conversations are like in the chat.
'When players have been part of a set-up, especially ones who aren't necessarily here and those players are still in the group chat and for whatever reason, for them to reinforce their belief in the team and wanting to be part of it speaks volumes of the group.
'The group chat was originally created for the celebrations so every time it pops up it isn't a bad thing.
'Most group chats we all archive or mute at different points but not that one.
'We're very tame. I wish we had more banter but that's not going to come from me!'

Elsewhere, Mr Starmer is facing calls to grant an extra bank holiday if the Lionesses win the Euros 2025 final on Sunday. The then-Opposition Leader told the Mirror: 'The whole country will be roaring on the Lionesses in the final... England went on to win the match against Germany but the Tory government did not grant a bank holiday for the nation to celebrate the historic victory. The PM's official spokesman said he didn't want to jinx it before the team had reached the final. Asked about the prospect of one, the PM's spokesman said on Tuesday: "I'm not aware of any plans for that but when it comes to backing the Lionesses, the PM is sending his best wishes ahead of the semi finals. EXCLUSIVE: Millwall are looking to bolster their attacking options with a deal for Alfie Doughty, who could leave Luton Town as they gear up for their League One opener Millwall are in talks with Luton Town in a bid to try and strike a deal for Alfie Doughty. The 25-year-old left wing-back was one of Luton's star performers in the Premier League before the Hatters suffered consecutive relegations and has been the subject of transfer interest this summer with the club now preparing for life in League One. And Mirror Football understands that Millwall have made a play to try and sign Doughty ahead of Luton's season opener next Friday. The Lions are admirers of Doughty and would deploy him in a more advanced role in their attack rather than at left-back, where they are currently well stocked. Landing a player of Doughty's quality would be another statement of intent from Millwall, who broke their transfer record to sign Josh Coburn from Middlesbrough earlier this summer. A return to the Championship would appeal to Doughty, who was also linked with a move last summer before staying put at Kenilworth Road. The player was pulled from the starting XI shortly before kick-off in Luton's pre-season friendly against Tottenham on Saturday. Matt Bloomfield revealed after the game that transfer speculation was behind Doughty's absence. 'Listen, Alfie has had interest all through the summer because he's a player who played at a very good level,' the Hatters boss said, via Luton Today. 'In the Premier League he had a very good season and last year he showed some real top moments, so he has had some interest, Alfie, and I'm sure that will go on for the rest of the window. 'It was the right decision I made before the game, post team sheets, was that he wouldn't play, so that was the way the game went. I just said in the other room, there's a lot going on in pre-season. 'It's very rare, I think, that both teams change their left full-backs between team sheets and kick-off, which happened today, so it was the right decision for Alfie not to play but I'm sure he'll be absolutely fine and we'll welcome him back into the group as soon as we can, but he'll be fine.'
