Channel 4 star issues emotional health update about 'learning to understand' diagnosis as fans rush to support
Gok Wan took to Instagram after revealing to his fans how he was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, which he himself admits he's shied away from speaking about.
The TV star, who is best known for How To Look Good Naked, Gok's Fashion Fix and Say Yes To The Dress was flooded with support following the post.
He penned: 'I've not really spoken about my ADHD as it's still something I'm learning to understand as I was diagnosed only a couple of years ago.
'Anyway, this morning I read an interesting article about GRIEF (which took me f***ing forever - ADHD fam, IYKYK lol)… for anyone with ADHD and is grieving, this article may help. Just leaving it here.'
Gok, 50, then pasted a link to a website which details the challenges of ADHD, especially when it comes to grief and how it makes symptoms worse.

Reacting to his honest post, one fan said: 'Hi Gok, I was only diagnosed last year and I'm still learning a lot about myself. Its a hard journey trying to navigate everything.'
A second replied: 'Big hugs Gok. I know you're really missing Dolly.'
'Diagnosed last January at the age of 40. Its been bloody hard! And still is. Keep smashing it beautiful', said a third follower.
While a fourth penned: 'Thank you very much for sharing and as ever sending love and positive vibes your way.'
Gok's post comes after he was left devastated following the loss of his pet dog Dolly last month, whom he saw as his 'partner' and 'baby'.
The star announced her sad passing in a heartbreaking social media post as he shared snaps of their time together.
He said: 'My partner, my love, my baby and most of all my best friend. I love you with all my heart little Dishcloth.
His post comes after he was left devastated following the loss of his pet dog Dolly last month, whom he saw at his 'partner' and 'baby'
'You taught me to care and to love in a way I didn't know was possible. I am utterly heartbroken and devastated that it's your time to go to the park in the stars, but I know you'll be happy chasing all the squizzles for as long as your little heart desires.
'You nestled your way into a space in my heart that will always be just for you. Thank you for 13 and a half years of the purest love, the deepest cuddles, the belly laughter and for being the best and most beautiful companion any person could ever wish for. In May Gok opened a brand new restaurant where diners are served food from the floor.
He is inviting foodies to his eatery FLOORS in Islington, north London, where they will be served Asian inspired dishes on the vinyl surface beneath their feet.
With no normal plates in sight, floor feasters have morsels served inside protective casings made from natural materials laid down directly on the ground.
Hungry folks can nibble on a tasting menu which includes lychee ceviche, served in a chilled oyster shell, lotus leaf steamed meats, with black bean peppered beef, duck, and oyster mushroom and black sesame mochi cake with fuyu sour cream and an edible rice paper receipt.
WHAT IS ADHD?
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a behavioural condition defined by inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness.
It affects around five per cent of children in the US. Some 3.6 per cent of boys and 0.85 per cent of girls suffer in the UK.
Symptoms typically appear at an early age and become more noticeable as a child grows. These can also include:
Constant fidgeting
Poor concentration
Excessive movement or talking
Acting without thinking
Inability to deal with stress
Little or no sense of danger
Careless mistakes
Mood swings
Forgetfulness
Difficulty organising tasks
Continually starting new tasks before finishing old ones
Inability to listen or carry out instructions
Most cases are diagnosed between six and 12 years old. Adults can also suffer, but there is less research into this.
ADHD's exact cause is unclear but is thought to involve genetic mutations that affect a person's brain function and structure.
Premature babies and those with epilepsy or brain damage are more at risk.
ADHD is also linked to anxiety, depression, insomnia, Tourette's and epilepsy.
There is no cure.
A combination of medication and therapy is usually recommended to relieve symptoms and make day-to-day life easier.

JD Vance will meet Nigel Farage for breakfast in the Cotswolds - after a 'barbecue and few beers' with Thomas Skinner
US Vice-President JD Vance is set to meet Nigel Farage for breakfast later today after spending the evening with The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner. The US politician and reality TV star's unlikely friendship began on X and resulted in Skinner receiving an invite to join Mr Vance at his holiday residence in the Cotswolds. The Essex trader said the opportunity was 'once in a lifetime', also describing the Vice-President as a 'proper gent'. Vance hosted the barbecue with invitees including Cambridge Academic James Orr and Conservative MP Danny Kruger, The Times reported. A picture of the pair was shared on Skinner's social media. He wrote: 'Here is a pic of Me and Vice President JD Vance towards the end of the night after a few beers 'I'm overdressed in my suit, but when the VP invites you to a BBQ, you don't risk turning up in shorts an flip-flops 'Cracking night in the beautiful English countryside with JD, his friends and family. Dean Manor is about as close a neighbouring property to Clarkson's own Cotswolds home, Curdle Hill Farm, better known as Diddly Squat Farm, can be. They are a mile apart as the crow flies, separated mainly by Clarkson's own arable fields.

Andy Carroll has reportedly dumped his girlfriend Lou Teasdale following a string of heated rows. It comes just two months after it was reported that the former Premier League striker, 36, was questioned twice by Greek police over a series of bust-ups with Lou, 41, while the pair holidayed in Mykonos, Greece. The pair, who were together for just over a year, have now unfollowed each other on social media and Andy has wiped all trace of Lou from his Instagram. A source told The Sun: 'Andy got sick of Lou's demands and her influencer lifestyle. 'She's always posting on social media and he hates that. He told her it was over this week. He's single now.' The father-of-five returned to the UK with Dagenham & Redbridge last month after a two-year spell in France. The insider added: 'It's been a tough time and now he's back in the UK, he just wants to focus on football and his kids. 'He hates the influencer lifestyle. In 2022, their wedding was almost called off when Carroll was pictured drunkenly passed out in bed with two women in Dubai on his stag do. Mucklow forgave him after one of the women insisted nothing sexual happened.
