Sandra Thomas says Mammootty called her to withdraw the KFPA case; ‘I asked, what if this happened to your daughter?'
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Producer Sandra Thomas recently revealed that Malayalam superstar Mammootty personally called her, allegedly asking her to withdraw the legal case she filed after her KFPA (Kerala Film Producers Association) election nomination was rejected. The call, which lasted 45 minutes, ended with Sandra asking Mammootty a question: 'If your daughter faced such injustice, would you tell her to stay silent for the sake of her career?' According to Sandra, Mammootty offered no clear answer, only saying, 'It's up to Sandra now. I have nothing more to say.' 'I will stay right here': Sandra refuses to be silenced Sandra claims Mammootty later withdrew from a film project they were set to do together. She didn't back down. Sandra has now taken the matter to the Ernakulam Sub Court. Reportedly, she argued that she possesses more than enough valid credits and that the decision violates KFPA bylaws. She also raised concerns about the Returning Officer's long-held position of over 20 years.

Though everyone's victory is being celebrated with utmost love, the news of Shah Rukh Khan's maiden win brought a different contentment for his fans. However, amid all the congratulatory messages, some raised eyebrows on the matter, including South actress Urvashi. Urvashi herself bagged the National Award for 'Best Supporting Actress' for her work in 'Ullozhukku.' However, when it came to SRK's big win, she questioned the fairness of the jury and the criteria used for King Khan's selection. Weighing in on the matter, 'Shaktiman' fame Mukesh Khanna , during his conversation with IANS, mentioned that it is also political to say that the National Award should have been given to an actor from the South film industry. Mukesh Khanna defends Shah Rukh Khan's National Award victory 'People who are saying that Shah Rukh Khan should not have received the award for this film (Jawan) but for Swades — remember A R Rahman received the Oscar for 'Jai Ho' and not for the various beautiful songs he created in the past,' said Mukesh Khanna. 'Shah Rukh has been working hard for the past 40 years now — so what is wrong if he has received a National Award?' he added. So thank you very much for that. A National Award is not just about achievement. It's a reminder that what I do matters. It tells me to keep going, keep working hard, keep creating, and keep serving cinema. In a world full of noise, to be heard — truly heard — is a blessing.' His death certificate listed cardiac arrest as the cause of death, while also noting a history of atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Though he had never made his illness public, records showed he had been battling health issues quietly for years. His wife, Sky Daily, confirmed this shortly after his death, writing on Instagram, 'He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time. This loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart." The funeral service was notably private, with heightened security and church staff turning away those not on the guest list. Local police and even K-9 units were stationed near signs reading 'Private Event.' For someone as publicly known as Hogan, the quiet send-off may have seemed surprising, but those who knew him best say it's exactly how he wanted it.
