Himali Dabi, mother of IAS officers Tina Dabi and Ria Dabi, successfully cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam. For the unversed, Himali went on to serve as an Indian Engineering Services (IES) officer. As per media reports, Himali Dabi was also a topper at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. In an interview once, she had also said, 'Its not easy to prepare for this exam. It is very tough.'

Himali Dabi's eldest daughter, Tina Dabi, topped the UPSC Civil Services Exam-2015, achieving this feat in her first attempt. She secured All India Rank(AIR) 1 in the UPSC Civil Services(Main) Examination, 2015. She obtained 1063 marks in the entrance exam. At present, she serves as the District Collector of Barmer. Her marriage to fellow IAS officer Pradeep Gawande garnered media attention in 2022.
Himali Dabi's youngest daughter younger sister, Ria Dabi, is also an IAS officer from the 2020 batch, having secured an impressive All India Rank(AIR) of 15. Ria Dabi got married to IPS officer Manish Kumar in 2023.

Pune students excel in JEE Advanced 2025 exam
Students from Pune achieved significant success in the JEE Advanced 2025 examination, as announced by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur on Monday, June 2. Among the top performers from the city is Kushal Tharani, a student of Bakliwal Tutorials (BT), who secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 149. Another student from BT, Sohan Chilekar, earned AIR 276. According to BT's director Vaibhav Bakliwal, a total of 16 students from the institute ranked within the top 1,000, while 49 students made it to the top 3,000 ranks. Reflecting on his achievement, Chilekar said, 'Taking regular mock tests helped me build confidence to handle the actual paper. After studying for two hours daily, I would play the guitar or keyboard to relax. My parents supported me a lot, and that played a huge role in my success.' Prime Academy, another reputed coaching centre in the city, also reported notable success. Out of 190 students who appeared for the JEE Mains from the academy, 120 cleared the examination and proceeded to appear for JEE Advanced. Out of these, more than 52 students qualified for the Advanced examination. Students from formal schools also excelled in the exam. Three students from Army Public School, Pune, under the Southern Command, secured notable ranks in JEE Advanced 2025. Archit Singhal achieved AIR 666, Yash Sinha secured AIR 3550, and Vedant Nagpal earned AIR 5019. Army Public School Principal Anita Sharma said, 'I congratulate our students on their incredible achievement. This success is not only a reflection of their discipline but also of the supportive academic environment we nurture at our school. I extend my best wishes for their future and remain confident in their continued success.' Other high-rankers also shared insights into their preparation strategies. Anuj Pagar (AIR 307), Ritvik N. (AIR 310), and Ayush Chaudhary (AIR 413) emphasised the importance of practising smart strategies to maximise learning in less time.

Sri Chaitanya, Narayana colleges claim top ranks in JEE (Advanced)
Narayana Educational Institutions said five of the top-10 All India open category ranks were achieved by its students in the JEE (Advanced) 2025, results of which were announced on Monday. It said 43 of the top 100 ranks were bagged by its students, it said in a press release. The top rankers are Majid Hussain (3), Parth Mandar Vartak (4), Akshat Chaurasia (6), Sahil Deo (7), and Vadlamudi Lokesh (10). A robust learning ecosystem, which emphasises conceptual mastery, rigorous practice and tech-driven education contributed to our students' success, said Narayana directors P. Sindhura and P. Sharani. Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions, in a press release, said its student Vangala Ajay Reddy, who secured all-India first rank in JEE (Advanced) 2025, had scored 300 out of 300 marks in JEE (Main) 2025. The four ranks in the top-10 category include the all-India first rank of D. Gnana Rutvik Sai (OBC), Majid Hussain (3), Ujjwal Kesari (5), and Akshat Kumar Chaurasia (6). In addition, it claimed seven ranks in top-20, 19 top-50 and 29 in top-100 ranks. Delivering quality education through both online and offline modes, supported by top-tier faculty across the country, and the role of well-designed programmes, micro-schedules, internal exams and ranking systems helped achieved the outcomes, its academic director Sushma Boppana said.
