Just ahead of the summer Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung has announced the affordable True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Core, in India. The earbuds have been in the talks for quite some time, with Samsung also teasing the launch. At under Rs5000, the TWS offers Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Galaxy AI integration, providing users with premium features at an affordable price. Samsung Galaxy Buds Core officially makes its debut in India with some impressive offerings. The earbuds come with dynamic drivers that claim to offer rich sound with deep bass. It has a wingtip design with a three-mic system, offering a comfortable fit, greater ANC, sound and call quality. Samsung claims that the Galaxy Buds Core has 'best-in-segment call quality,' with greater clarity. However, this can only be confirmed with real-life testing.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Core also comes with support for Galaxy AI's Interpreter feature, enabling users with two-way face-to-face translation. This feature will capture the voice of the speaker and automatically translate the speech directly to the listener's ears, making it easy for users to communicate in several languages.

The earbuds also offer touch controls for play/ pause music, activating ANC, and switching audio, providing a seamless interaction. It offers multi-device connectivity and support to the Samsung Find app. Additionally, the earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity for uninterrupted listening.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Core are priced at just Rs.4999 in India. It will be available in two colour options: Black and White. The buds will be available for purchase from June 27 at Samsung.com, Amazon and across select retail stores.

The Now Brief feature provides users with a daily summary; however, the feature has limited access to smartphone apps and features for a detailed summary. Now, the leaked build highlights Samsung may include new info cards such as parking spot reminders, smart home alerts, and wearable battery alerts. This will enable users to get timely alerts without relying on any particular app or manual navigation. But, does these info cards work? The report highlighted that the parking spot reminders will remember where the users have parked their cars and also allow users to take a picture. Whereas, the smart home alert will keep users updated about their smart home gadgets and appliances, such as lights and thermostats. Lastly, the wearable battery alerts will let users know when their Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Buds are running low on battery. Trying on clothes might soon require nothing more than a smartphone. Google has introduced a new app called Doppl, designed to let users see how outfits might look on them without entering a fitting room. The app, launched on June 26, is part of Google Labs, a platform where Google tests new and experimental features with users. Doppl enables users to view clothing on a digital, animated version of themselves. The experience builds on the earlier try-on feature introduced by Google Shopping, which allowed shoppers to preview clothing items by uploading a photo. Doppl takes this concept further by converting static images into motion visuals, which will help users get a better sense of how outfits might look in real life. With Doppl, users can test tops, bottoms, and dresses, and even create and save their favourite looks. They can revisit these looks or share them with friends. The app also allows users to upload images of clothes found on social media or in local stores to see how the items might suit them. By using a personal photo, Doppl's AI generates a short animated video of the outfit on the user's virtual version. However, there are some limitations. The app does not currently support try-ons for shoes, swimwear, lingerie, or accessories. Being an experimental product, Doppl may occasionally produce incomplete results. For instance, if a user uploads a photo showing only a top, the app might automatically generate matching pants or shoes, even if they were not part of the original image. Google stated that visual accuracy is still being improved and that users might notice inconsistencies in clothing fit or appearance. Doppl is available for download on both Android and iOS, but is currently limited to users in the U.S. Google has not yet announced plans to expand the app to other regions. This release follows Google's earlier virtual try-on technology introduced in 2023, which showed clothing on a variety of models. Google Gemini to run in-app tasks even with App Activity off: What it means
In a move that could ease privacy concerns while enhancing usability, Google will soon allow its Gemini AI assistant to work with key system apps on Android — even if users have Gemini Apps Activity turned off. This change rolls out starting July 7, 2025, according to an email shared with users and reported by Android Police. What's changing and why does it matter? Until now, using Gemini to send messages, control calls, or manage device settings required keeping the Gemini Apps Activity setting enabled — which meant Google could store and analyse your chat history to improve its AI. With this update, users will be able to access Gemini's integrations with apps like Phone, Messages, WhatsApp, and system Utilities without opting into long-term activity tracking. So if you have disabled Gemini Apps Activity to avoid saving your chat history to your Google account, you will still be able to send a WhatsApp message, call a contact, or set a timer using Gemini — something that was not possible before. Android Police reports that the change allows Gemini to interact with these system features 'whether your Gemini Apps Activity is on or off.' While the setting used to be a gatekeeper for these app-based actions, Google is now decoupling basic app access from full AI data collection. What about privacy? As per the report, even with this improvement, Google notes that Gemini interactions will still be temporarily stored for up to 72 hours — regardless of your activity setting — for 'security, safety, and feedback' purposes. The Gemini Apps Activity toggle primarily affects whether conversations are saved to your Google account and used to personalize and train AI models. Disabling it means your chats will not show up in your activity history and will not be used to improve Gemini — but they may still be briefly stored for backend processing. According to a statement Google gave to Android Authority, users will be able to disable these app connections entirely if they prefer. The company emphasized this is a 'good' move for users, enabling more device control without forcing them to contribute data to AI training. This update also arrives as Gemini is set to replace Google Assistant on Android phones later this year. With that shift, enabling Gemini to handle core assistant tasks — even when tracking is off — makes it better aligned with what users expect from a virtual assistant.
