
GCC to review anti-dumping duties on ceramic tiles from China, India
The duties cover ceramic and porcelain tiles used for flooring, wall coverings, and fireplaces, the GCC SG said in a statement.
The procedures align with the Common Law on Anti-Dumping, Countervailing Measures, and Safeguard Measures and its executive regulations.
The Permanent Committee for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade has accepted the complaint and will initiate investigation, the statement said.
In May 2020, the committee imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on GCC imports of ceramic tiles from China and India.

Kuwait to tender Al-Khairan IWPP soon: Report
Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) will tender seven to eight projects, including Al-Khairan independent water and power plant (IWPP) soon, according to a news report. The tender documents will soon be approved for the IWPP, acting director general Asmaa Al-Mousa told Al Arabiya Business. The Al-Khairan project is located south of Kuwait City, with a power generation capacity of 1,800 megawatts (MW) and desalination capacity of 125 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD). Saudi's Maaden moving forward with FID on Ar Rjum gold mining project
Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) said the Ar Rjum gold mining project is moving forward with the final investment decision (FID). The decision will allow the development of a tier 2 gold asset expected to produce around 300,000 ounces annually in the Central Arabian Gold Region, the mining major said in its Q2 2025 financial statement filed with the Saudi stock exchange on Thursday. The company will continue to uncover more of the Kingdom's mineral wealth and accelerate exploration in Wadi Al Jaww, driven by promising initial results. Maaden maintains its full-year capex guidance for 2025 at 7.55 billion Saudi riyals to SAR 9.55 billion, with around 70 percent allocated to growth capex. Construction continues to progress well on the phosphate 3 phase 1 expansion project after key contracts were awarded in January 2025. Saudi Arabia launches anti-dumping probe into Indian ductile iron pipe imports

The probe covers cast iron pipes and hollow tubes with diameters ranging from 100mm to 1,000mm, specifically of the K9 and C40 classes. This action is in line with Article 4.1 of the Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade, issued on November 23, 2022. According to the article, 'the authority is responsible for trade remedies including conducting investigations, reviews, and the imposition of measures in accordance with the Kingdom's international commitments, especially under the Anti-Dumping Agreement, the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures, and the Agreement on Safeguards.'
