Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are mourning the loss of their rescue dog.
The former talk show host and her wife's beloved Beagle-Chihuahua mix, Augie, sadly passed away on May 15.
The couple took in the pooch more than a decade ago.
Sharing a series of photographs of Augie chilling around their home, Ellen wrote on Instagram on May 16: "We had to say goodbye to Augie yesterday. We rescued him 12 years ago and he was so grateful.
"He gave us so much love. He will be missed. There will never be another like him."
The couple's devastating loss comes after they relocated to the English countryside after 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' backlash.

The pair bought a property in the Cotswolds after being spotted at The Farmer's Dog - a pub owned by Clarkson's Farm' host Jeremy Clarkson.
Ellen hosted the last episode of her long-running TV talk-show in May 2022.
Prior to that, Portia quit acting to focus her attention on General Public, the art curation and publishing company that she owns.
In December, Ellen denied a report suggesting her farmhouse had flooded.
The MailOnline suggested the 67-year-old comic's Cotswolds estate was badly affected by the severe weather in the south west of England as Storm Bert brought torrential rain and winds up to 80mph to parts of the country, but Ellen poured cold water on the speculation.
The six-bedroom property boasts 43-acres of land, and it was claimed that a stream flowing into the Thames River alongside the property burst its banks.
The outlet quoted a neighbour as saying: "The flood waters are rising by the hour. This is the worst I have seen it in years."
However, Ellen insisted all was well.
To mark 20 years since she started dating "beautiful soul" Portia, 52, Ellen shared a selfie of the pair in the English countryside and wrote: "20 years ago today we began this relationship not realizing what a long beautiful adventure this would be. You are the best thing that ever happened in my life. You take care of me. You help me see the good in everything.

"You help to guide me and pick me up when I feel off or down. You are a beautiful soul that I am so very grateful to have as a partner to navigate this crazy life with. (sic)"
Ellen concluded her post by addressing the flood rumours, writing: "P.S. for those of you concerned, our U.K. farmhouse did NOT flood."
According to TMZ, the couple decided to move to the UK after president-elect Donald Trump won the 2024 US presidential election.

All episodes of 'thrilling' axed historical drama dropping on free UK streamer
There's an unmissable swashbuckling period drama to add to your watchlists, as viewers will soon be able to watch the entire show for free. Starring Derry Girls alum Louisa Harland, the swaggering 18th-century period drama Renegade Nell found a dedicated fanbase when it was released last year on Disney Plus. Harland plays a young widower turned highwaywoman robber, who has some special superpowers to boot, and all eight episodes will soon be available to binge on ITVX. When she's framed for a murder in Tottenham, Nell is forced on the run with a ragtag group while the elites in the upper echelons of English society have twigged on to her powers she is forced to save the country. Nell is helped by a miniature Nick Mohammed, of Ted Lasso and soon-to-be Slow Horses fame, as the mystical sprite Billy Blind. The show is from the mind of Happy Valley writer Sally Wainwright – who is clearly no stranger to writing indomitable female leads – and directed by Sex Education's Ben Taylor, so the combined result is a show with superb production value. Better yet, Renegade Nell was previously behind the Disney Plus paywall but will be streaming on ITVX from Sunday, June 22 – just in time for a weekend binge. However, be warned: the show has already been cancelled by Disney – even with a score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes – so might be best not to become overly attached to the characters. When the axe was officially announced, Disney Plus released a statement to Deadline, reading: 'We're incredibly proud of the world created by Sally Wainwright and lead director Ben Taylor. 'We'd like to thank them, our production partners at Lookout Point, the entire cast – led by Louisa Harland – and crew for their incredible work on this series, all of whom we hope to work with again in the future.' The cancellation was made all the worse because director Ben Taylor told RadioTimes the second season was already being written when the first was released, adding that they were working a time jump into the show. Viewers who have come late to Renegade Nell have already expressed their disappointment that they won't be able to return to this world. Liverpool transfer belief behind huge Wirtz bid as Slot eyes next two targets
Mirror Football takes a look at Liverpool's summer transfer window so far in what is expected to be a busy couple of months as boss Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes work away The confetti had barely been cleared from the Anfield pitch after Liverpool 's Premier League title celebrations and the focus was firmly on making sure the trophy will remain there next season. This summer is going to be busy for the Reds if the first few days of the transfer market being open are anything to go by. This will be the window when Arne Slot starts to really put his touch to the team. Not only to make it more his squad, but also to ensure that they can compete on four fronts next season. This is a summer of adding more depth and moving on players who do not fit the criteria or - in the case of Caoimhin Kelleher - need to be guaranteed much more playing time. Those close to the club stress there is not a transfer war chest to be splashed out on but recruitment will be backed by the owners, FSG, and sales. The mantra remains the same. Spend on what they believe is value rather than for the sake of it. That is why there must be huge belief within the club that Florian Wirtz is a sensational footballer with potential to be even better otherwise they would not be submitting eye-watering nine-figure offers. While the signing of Jeremie Frimpong, also from Bayer Leverkusen, in a £29.5m deal is more the deals we have been accustomed to seeing the Reds make. A low - in today's market - release clause being met to get a highly-rated player who is versatile enough to play in different positions, even if pushing Conor Bradley for a right-back starting spot may be the initial aim. It is clear that this is - while being led by sporting director Richard Hughes - the start of Slot putting his touches to the team after his first summer saw the only arrival being Federico Chiesa on a cut-price deal. For all the talk of last season being Slot turning the Reds more orchestral than the heavy metal football of Jurgen Klopp, those within the club felt the changes to the playing style were more subtle than that. Slot worked with what he had got. He shifted Ryan Gravenberch to the No.6 role while the full-backs were not given as much freedom to roam and more control was asked from the front line. It brought a 20th English league title when many expected them to be battling it out for a Champions League spot at best. Yet Slot was still not content. He wants to win the title again but also go further in Europe. The Dutchman knew against PSG that Liverpool struggled with their frantic press and pace with the Reds going through a slight lull at the time they faced the soon-to-be-crowned European kings. That could have been down to his own overreliance on the same players. He was also concerned about how Newcastle 's midfield in the Carabao Cup final were too physical for the Reds but he is not adding muscle to match that. Instead, it appears more pace, flair and creativeness is how Slot is going about it. Wirtz is a deal that is expected to get done given the Reds have elbowed in ahead of Manchester City to ensure they're the destination of choice for the Germany attacking star. Frimpong is done with Trent Alexander-Arnold going to Real Madrid, with £10m banked to end his contract early. Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez is wanted while a striker could be dependent on who leaves this summer. Slot is starting to structure his team with the rock-solid foundation of a Premier League title to build upon, along with Mo Salah 's goals, Virgil van Dijk's defensive prowess and Alisson's steady hands. It is why many across Europe believe Anfield is the place to be at the moment.
