This marks a significant achievement in the state government's commitment to strengthening land ownership among Sabahans,' he said after the Pantas grant handover ceremony on Sunday. 'This is historic — it's the first time residents of Tempasuk are receiving official land titles after waiting so long.' Arsad also urged recipients not to sell their land, describing it as a heritage that should be preserved for the second, third, and future generations. He added that the land grants would enable villagers to break free from poverty by developing their land and improving their families' quality of life. 'With these titles, recipients can better plan their future and become more economically competitive,' he said. The ceremony was officiated by Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Ali, who represented the Chief Minister. Also present were Deputy Director (Lands) of the Land and Survey Department Awang Fauzi Awang Tahir, District Officer Peter Jiton, and Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry Director Shahril Nizam Shahidin. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
