
CJCSC holds high-level meetings with top Egyptian leadership
General Mirza called on Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Defence Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Admiral Osama Mounier Mohamed Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, and Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Professor Dr Ahmed El-Tayeb.
Discussions centered on enhancing bilateral military cooperation, counter-terrorism, regional security, and defence collaboration. Both sides expressed their commitment to deepening military-to-military ties through joint training programs, exercises, and strategic partnerships.
During his meeting with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, General Mirza emphasised the role of interfaith harmony and religious understanding in countering extremism and fostering global peace.
Egyptian dignitaries praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their critical role and sacrifices in combating terrorism.
Upon arrival at the Ministry of Defence, General Mirza was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour by a well-turned-out contingent of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

Tourism expo in October: Tajik official extends invitation to PM's coordinator
ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation from Tajikistan, led by Major General Nazirzoda Savzaali, Head of the Agency for the Provision of Special Property under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, arrived here to explore avenues of bilateral cooperation. Sardar Yasir, in turn, facilitated the delegation's connections with various industries across Lahore and Karachi, opening new prospects for trade and collaboration. CM Maryam leaves for Japan on official visit
LAHORE: On the special invitation of Japanese government, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday left here for Tokyo on a five-day official visit. Senior officials of the Punjab government bid farewell to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister for Information and Heritage Azma Zahid Bokhari, Minister C&W Malik Zohaib Bherth, Minister LG Zeeshan Rafiq, Advisor to CM Sania Ashiq, and other officials accompanied the chief minister. It may be added that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is the first chief minister who is invited to visit Japan officially. During her stay in Japan, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will attend the World Expo in Osaka. She will visit the cities of Yokohama, Osaka, and Tokyo, where she is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Japanese business leaders, representatives of major corporations, and government officials.
