UAE Future 50 brings together forward-thinking startups to inspire entrepreneurs
The UAE Future 50 has brought together 50 startup entrepreneurs to showcase business development in a range of industries ranging from Fintech to creative industries and renewable energy to cybersecurity.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, witnessed the launch of the 'UAE Future 50' initiative, featuring a list of future-focused Emirati companies.
Jointly developed by the Government Development and the Future Office in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, the initiative is part of the Riyada entrepreneurship ecosystem, which aims to enhance the national startup and innovation landscape.

Sheikh Hamdan underscored the UAE leadership's commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering an economic environment that supports startups in future-focused sectors.
He noted that Emirati innovators are playing a key role in driving economic diversification, advancing future-focused industries, and strengthening the nation's global competitiveness—efforts that align with the ambitions of 'We the UAE 2031' vision.
He underscored the crucial role entrepreneurs play in turning innovative ideas into impactful ventures that drive the growth and diversification of the UAE's rapidly evolving economy.
He also stressed the importance of inspiring the younger generation to explore the world of entrepreneurship, commending initiatives that nurture and empower entrepreneurs to reach new heights of success.
The launch was attended by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications; Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future.

She emphasised that the 'UAE Future 50' showcases Emirati entrepreneurs transforming ideas into pioneering ventures, supporting the government's goal to prepare the economy for future challenges.
She added that these startups, working alongside major companies, will drive growth in key sectors and enhance the UAE's competitiveness and leadership worldwide.
Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, highlighted the crucial role of innovative ventures and Emirati talent in driving the UAE's transition to futuristic industries and boosting its global standing.
He reaffirmed the government's commitment to creating an environment that supports sustainable growth and strengthens the national economy.
The initiative aims to highlight promising Emirati startups in future-focused economic sectors by providing targeted support to accelerate their growth, recognising entrepreneurial achievements, and celebrating the contributions of Emirati innovators.
It also seeks to foster a strong culture of entrepreneurship and inspire the next generation of national talent.
The launch of the 'UAE Future 50' was marked by a dedicated event celebrating these pioneering ventures. The gathering featured an engaging talk by Emirati entrepreneur and Dubai Chambers Board Member Faisal Belhoul, who shared insights on the foundations of entrepreneurial success and the vital role entrepreneurs play in shaping the future economy.
The event brought together young entrepreneurs, investors, representatives from investment funds, incubators, accelerators, family businesses, and leading companies.

Unlocking Opportunities in Thailand The new office was inaugurated during the 'Doing Business with Thailand' forum, which was organised as part of Dubai Chamber of Commerce's 'New Horizons' trade mission to Southeast Asia. Hosted in Bangkok, the forum was attended by more than 474 participants including senior officials, business leaders and Thai companies interested in exploring partnership opportunities with the chamber's delegation. The trade mission attracted the participation of 20 Dubai-based companies operating across diverse sectors including food and beverages, human resources, trading, electronics, hospitality, industrial lubricants, investment, and agriculture. The chamber successfully coordinated 288 bilateral business meetings between members of the Dubai delegation and companies from Thailand. The forum was organised by Dubai Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Thailand Board of Investment. Special remarks were delivered by Gongsakdi, Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and Potnvit Silaon, Deputy Director General, Department of International Trade Promotion. Abu Dhabi health drive raises Dh509 million in two weeks to support patients with chronic diseases
An Abu Dhabi humanitarian drive aiming to provide critical support to patients with chronic diseases and people with various disabilities has raised more than half of its Dh1 billion fund-raising target in only two weeks. The Life Endowment campaign, established by the Endowments and Minors Funds Authority (Awqaf Abu Dhabi), has collected Dh509 million from 93,000 contributors, it was announced on Sunday. The vital initiative, being held under the slogan With you for Life, was announced by President Sheikh Mohamed under the UAE's Year of Community. The impressive running total is thanks to contributions from both individuals and businesses alike, including a Dh172 million donation from Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation. The drive will help to cover treatment costs for people while supporting the research and development of pharmaceutical drugs. Fahad Al Qassim, director general of the Abu Dhabi Endowments and Minors Funds Authority, said the scheme represented a major milestone in the UAE's philanthropic vision. 'The significant contributions received since the campaign's launch demonstrate the UAE community's unwavering commitment to supporting humanitarian initiatives," Mr Al Qassim said. "The enthusiastic response to the Life Endowment campaign exemplifies deep compassion for those suffering from chronic diseases and for people of determination. "The continued flow of generous contributions through various channels underscores the widespread culture of endowment in our society as a key catalyst of sustainability.' Who will benefit from fund? The fund will be continuous and have no end date, Mr Al Qassim previously told T he National. Its finances will be invested and then spent to help patients. 'Assets will be invested and the returns will be spent on treatment, which means that we have a sustainable financial instrument and product that gives returns every single year,' he said in an interview following the campaign's launch. 'This endowment caters for the weakest point in the community and a lot of those people are actually non-UAE nationals. Emiratis today, at the end of the day, they do get the treatment from the government by the leadership. Expats today are more vulnerable in terms of the weaker point of the community. 'Endowments are here to stay for generations. It's not for the next two years, and then it will be mothballed or to a different initiative. No, it will continue to be there, hopefully for generations to come.' Abu Dhabi's Department of Health is overseeing the health-related aspects of the endowment, ensuring contributions are directed effectively to support specialised care and reach those who need the funds most. The campaign has two fund-raising arms – the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, which has been a leading humanitarian entity since 1983, and the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma'an, Abu Dhabi's official channel to receive social contributions.
