Graham Leggat, who had volunteered at the station since 2002, tragically passed away over the Easter weekend.
During his time at Sunny G, the "brilliant" host became a "familiar voice behind" one of its "most-loved radio shows."
In a social media post, the station said: "We are sorry to bring you this sad news, but it is with deep sadness that we share the devastating news of the passing of our dear friend, colleague, and longest-serving volunteer at Sunny Govan Community Radio, Graham Leggat.
"Graham sadly passed away this weekend, and the entire Sunny G family is heartbroken.
"Graham began volunteering with Sunny G as far back as 2002, when we were finding our feet as a grassroots community development organisation.
"Since then, he became a familiar voice behind one of our most-loved radio shows, sharing music, memories, and laughter every single week.
"His passion for radio, along with his incredible warmth and wit, made him a true legend not just at Sunny Govan but throughout the wider community.
"Of course, nobody could match Graham's signature sound – the loudest YAAAAAAAASSSSSS in Scottish history!
"His mighty roar lit up the airwaves and brought smiles to countless faces over the years.
"This was Graham through and through – bold, brilliant, and full of heart.

"More than a volunteer, Graham was family to us.
"His kindness, loyalty, and sense of humour lit up our office, and his presence will be sorely missed by all of us who worked alongside him."
The station added: "We are sending all our love and condolences to Graham's family at this incredibly difficult time.
"We will be sharing some special tributes in the near future to celebrate his life and will provide funeral details soon.
"Rest easy, Graham. Sunny G won't be the same without you."
Shattered friends of Graham shared their memories and tributes to the host under the station's post.
One wrote: "Graham was a very special guy, and I still think of him fondly after all these years.
"I still remember an event we went to together at the initiative years ago. He was a breath of fresh air and will be missed by so, so many.
"Fly high, Graham."
Another said: "Graham was so funny, kind, happy to talk with anyone, and would easily lift your spirits. He'll be TRULY missed.
"Next time you hear thunder, that'll be Graham shouting YAAAAAASSSS! Rest in peace x."
A third commented: "Graham was a real character. I remember his trademark 'Yass' from many years ago. I've really fond memories of how welcoming he was when we met on a few occasions.
"There are some tough miles ahead for his family, friends, and all who listened to his enthusiastic voice on the airwaves."
A fourth added: "Such sad news. Always a smile and a positive outlook. He'll be sadly missed."

The Edinburgh International Book Festival (EIBF) has issued a warning to customers after a "huge" demand for tickets to see Outlander star Sam Heughan at this year's event. The festival said it was not 'totally surprised' that tickets for the sold-out event, on August 23, had proved to be popular. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad However, organisers admitted many people had missed out on tickets and warned only those bought through the official website would be accepted. They also said that tickets would not be transferable. The event, Sam Heughan: On the Rocks, will involve the actor giving a cocktail masterclass, ahead of the publication of his new book, The Cocktail Diaries: A Spirited Adventure, in September. The £14-a-head event sold out within hours of tickets becoming available at the weekend. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'Please be aware that any tickets purchased for this event are non-transferable, and that tickets not purchased directly from the Edinburgh International Book Festival will not be valid for entry to the event. We would hate for anyone to be disappointed on arrival.' The post added: 'We can't say we're totally surprised that Sam Heughan's event has sold out already, but for anyone who didn't get a ticket, do make sure to sign up to our mailing list in case any returns get released. 'There are still hundreds of incredible events with tickets available, including many with a focus on the fascinating topic of Scottish history.' One fan, Jessica Torrey, commented on the EIBF's social media post: 'So disappointed! Up at my computer at 4 a.m. Minnesota, USA. Thought I might actually make this happen, with only about 900 people ahead of me when queue opened and it moving rapidly. 'Had no idea only about 300 tickets available. Dream trip to Scotland coming up and this would have been amazing. Going to continue manifesting this. Not giving up all hope just yet.' The Scottish actor, who is soon to make his Royal Shakespeare Company debut in Macbeth, is also to discuss the significance of cocktails in his journey to stardom during the event.
