Yet last week, Katy Armstrong actress Georgia May Foote - who left Corrie in 2015 and whose character was killed off-screen two years later - took to Instagram to report her salon unit had burned down.
She launched a fundraiser for herself and the other businesses affected while they await a potential insurance payout - yet was hit with flack from cruel online trolls.
Georgia, 34, has now given a hard-hitting update - telling fans the building will now be demolished, before capturing her abandoned salon chair in the rubble.
In another video posted to her Instagram grid, she thanked fans for their kindness to date and said: "Guys! thank you so much!
"Unfortunately the building is now about to be demolished, my heart is broken.
"I was to first of all say how sorry I am to anyone who has lost even a single item in that fire. I can't imagine how those who have things that can't be replaced feel. I'm so sorry.
"I posted my last reel as an appeal to help us all get back to work as soon as possible, without us working we can't buy stock, without stock we can't work. It's the hardest situation for so many of us to be in. With our whole place of work and tools gone and families to feed and bills to pay."
She then told how there had been a glimmer of happiness in the dire situation and said: "I aimed to raise 10k not thinking for a second we would bet this support! But here we are passing 10k!
"There are 12 of us affected by this who work in the beauty industry and every penny will be evenly distributed to help us get back where we were."

"If you have another business that has been affected from this fire and you want me to help you with your fundraisers please get in touch."

In 2023, she told how she had moved to the Middleton premises and wrote on social media: "Georgia said: "It's been over two years since I qualified as a nail tech and it's been the best two years getting to know you all!
"I spent the last two years working with some amazing girls who have now become life long friends, who taught me everything I needed to know, and gave me the confidence to do everything you guys throw at me!
"Over three months ago I took the plunge to move into somewhere a bit more intimate, working alongside another incredible nail tech and I absolutely love our new little space guys!"
She went onto admit that whilst acting was her main ambition in life, her new role in the nail industry allowed her some much needed "security."
She added at the time: "
"But nails gives me that little bit of head space and security most actors need!
"I am very grateful you have all supported me every time I have had to run off to film something! It means a lot when you are proud!

Emmerdale's Fred Kettle breaks silence on Dylan's return

Dylan played a vital role as April Windsor's friend when she ran away from home, and fans were gutted when he left. Speaking to The Mirror, Fred said he couldn't wait to be back on the ITV soap. Dylan Penders is returning to Emmerdale. (Image: ITV) "I am so glad to be back,' he said. 'It is going to be a nice journey for Dylan, given his experiences. But he is going to cause a bit of bother in the village." Fred also shared how happy he was to have the backing of fans, after they enjoyed his debut earlier this year. Dylan was first introduced as a friend of April Windsor, who she met while living on the streets. He later arrived in the village in an attempt to get clean from drugs and was last seen in March, on his way to rehab. In recent weeks, Emmerdale newcomer Joe Absolom, formerly of EastEnders fame, confirmed a "dark storyline" surrounding Dylan's return to Digital Spy. Fred also confirmed that there would be some new characters tied into his return. He said: 'Watch this space. I can't wait for fans to see what happens. It will be interesting to see his return and how the plot develops. 'But we'll just have to watch and find out." Actress Amelia Flanagan, who plays April, also had shared that she was excited to film with Fred once more. Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw had previously told The Mirror what's ahead for Dylan. She said: "The lovely Fred Kettle who played Dylan is coming back to the show. He is going to be bringing his past back to the village with him and that's going to cause huge problems for April and the family there. "We've got a couple of exciting new castings who are going to be joining us for that story, but I can't tell you who they are yet but watch this space. It's very exciting." Fans react to Dylan returning Earlier this year soap fans were quick to take to social media in support of Dylan – even suggesting he could be a long lost Dingle relative. Now, they await his on-screen return. Recommended reading: One person commented on X: 'And lovely Dylan is returning #Emmerdale." 'Dylan seems likeable enough but he's still a stranger to Marlon,' another added in reference to April's father. Others said: 'Dylan actually seems like a decent lad.' 'I notice they're bringing Dylan back next week! Wouldn't it be funny if Dylan ended being a long lost Dingle!'

Louise Thompson's ‘insanely comfy' £13 sandals instantly elevate holiday outfits

Louise Thompson has found the perfect shoes for summer that can be worn with anything and are 'insanely comfy', and her gold toe ring sandals are now on sale for £13 at ASOS If you've been trying to find the perfect pair of easy-to-style sandals for the summer, then you can consider the search over. Thanks to Louise Thompson, we've found the perfect pair that are chic, easy to style and, in Louise's own words, 'insanely comfy.' Louise wore the ASOS DESIGN Florrie Toe Loop Strappy Sandal in Black when she was a guest on brother Sam Thompson 's podcast Staying Relevant last week, sharing a snap of her outfit ahead of recording. She also showed a close up of the sandals on her Instagram stories, writing: 'These delicious sandals were insanely comfy and now only £22.' However, since Louise shared them, the sandals have landed in ASOS' huge summer sale, slashing the price even further from £26 to £13. The ultra-affordable sandals look far more expensive and luxurious than their £13 price tag, with a smooth faux leather strappy design and an oversized gold ring on the toe post. The chic gold hardware is mirrored in the adjustable buckles on the ankle straps, making them look much more high end. Toe ring sandals like Louise's Florrie Toe Loop Strappy Sandals have been everywhere this summer, and the ASOS sale is the perfect opportunity to pick up a pair for less. Still available in all sizes from a 3 to a 9, they also have a flexible rubber sole which makes them comfortable and easy to walk in. The minimalist design and luxe-looking details also make this a pair of sandals that you can wear with just about everything. Whether you style them with a simple pair of jeans and a T-shirt, a flowing maxi skirt on holiday or a pair of shorts and a bikini top around the pool, they're guaranteed to elevate your look in an instant. Although Louise's pair have broader straps, if you prefer a thinner strappy style this Lipsy Black Flat Metal Toe Loop Faux Leather Sandals are a great alternative. Available for £36 at Next, they come in both black and white. For something a little softer, Dune's Lyn Gold Toe Trim Sandals are ideal. They're a little pricier at £89, but are made from a soft brown real suede which keeps them comfortable and easy to walk in, although there's also a black pair with real leather straps available. However if you don't want to break the bank this summer, Louise's Florrie Toe Loop Strappy Sandals are perfect. Grab them for £13 on ASOS during the summer sale now.

I worked with Noel Edmonds in New Zealand on the set of his new ITV documentary - here's what he's REALLY like when the cameras stop rolling

A woman who worked with Noel Edmonds on his new documentary has revealed what he's really like when the cameras stop rolling. Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure hit ITV on 20 June. The new programme follows former Deal or No Deal host, 76, and his wife Liz start their new chapter in the island country New Zealand. The synopsis reads: 'Noel Edmonds has moved to New Zealand to start a new life and business in a small town, but his hospitality venture faces opposition after some bad press.' One woman called Julie gave the pair, who relocated in 2019, a helping hand during the show when they were harvesting his grapes at River Haven estate. Talking to The Express about her time on the programme, Julie said: 'He's just the kind of man who goes out of his way. 'He doesn't put it on just for the camera, he's just a really nice guy. 'While we were working on the vineyard, he was giving us water and ice pops, and he got to know everybody's name and even when you go to the Bugger Inn for a meal, he'll just come over and just have a chat whether you know him or not, and some Kiwis don't even know that he's a celebrity. 'He doesn't shy away from hard work either, he was getting his hands dirty.' Although the first instalment hit the channel on Friday (June 20 2025), the next episode will air this Friday (June 27 2025). But all three episodes are also available to watch now on ITVX. It comes after viewers of Noel Edmonds' new ITV documentary compared it to a 'mockumentary' after the first episode premiered on Friday night. Kiwi Adventure follows Noel at his 800-acre New Zealand estate River Haven after making the move with his third wife Liz Davies in 2019. The new documentary sees Noel displaying his humble abode as he is filmed lying under crystal lamps and showing off his garden, which strangely features a Guardian statue. The unique touches to his estate and his antics on the show left some viewers comparing it to a 'mockumentary' as they drew parallels with The Office's David Brent. Viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their opinions, writing: 'Is this something out alan partridge', Noel Edmonds Kiwi Adventure is like an Alan Partridge documentary as a Bass Eye spin-off. The first opening of Kiwi Adventure - which follows the former Deal Or No Deal presenter at his New Zealand home - hit our television screens on Friday June 20 'I could watch this EVERY week, not just series!', 'Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure confirms that Edmonds is essentially David Brent and Alan Partridge melded into the one body, with a dash of Colin Hunt from The Fast Show', 'This is the most bizarre TV show of the year so far', 'Watching Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure on ITV. It's actually very moving. It's one of the best programmes I've ever seen.' The series opener saw Noel reveal he is actually losing money with his New Zealand-based business due to the country's unpredictable weather. His plush Kiwi estate consists of 12 properties including a pub called The Bugger, which punters don't visit during a downpour, according to Noel. He said: 'When you come to New Zealand, you change your view about your relationship between the weather and the economy. 'We're haemorrhaging money at the moment because you have to take staff on in anticipation of the guests coming. 'We're going to have to have a spectacular November and December to balance the books. Noel also admitted in the hour-long insight into his life that he cares what people think about him and wants to make his business in New Zealand work. 'I'm so committed to New Zealand that I have invested tens of millions of dollars of my hard-earned money in this country,' he shared. 'I think I would have to admit, I do actually care what people think of me. And criticism does hurt. 'I do worry about it because I'm hugely sensitive and we do want to be accepted, sure.' The release of Kiwi Adventure comes after Noel and ITV received criticism from fans for 'copying' Jeremy Clarkson's Clarkson's Farm. Noel had rivalled Clarkson's Farm after signing a £1million deal with ITV for the series. Hitting back at comparisons in an interview with The Sun, Noel said: 'When we were filming our show, some people who knew about Clarkson's Farm said to me, "Oh, is it like Clarkson's Farm?" 'And I said, "No, it couldn't be more different." First of all, I'm not like Jeremy in many ways, though I wish I were. 'He's brilliant. He can articulate an argument beautifully and deliver a sharp, humorous line like no one else. 'The key difference between our Kiwi Adventure, and Clarkson's Farm is that ours is more of a lifestyle narrative. Noel first moved to New Zealand in 2019 with former make-up artist Liz, launching a network of radio stations near Auckland before moving to Ngatimoti three years later. As well as the winery, the TV star also has a shop, restaurant, pub, and café on a £15m estate. In 2023, sparked a furious row with residents who accused him of 'colonising' their idyllic village. The Deal Or No Deal star has also added winemaking to his repertoire at River Haven. Noel settled in the Ngatimoti area and snapped up 12 properties worth almost £15m on 270 hectares of land. Noel first moved to New Zealand in 2019 with former make-up artist Liz Davies, launching a network of radio stations near Auckland before moving to Ngatimoti three years later The town is already well-known in New Zealand for its annual festival, which generally takes place in October and is attended by thousands of people The town is already well-known in New Zealand for its annual festival, which generally takes place in October and is attended by thousands of people. In 2023, he sparked a furious row with residents who accused him of 'colonising' their idyllic village. One said: 'I feel like he's a coloniser. He's come in like he's the lord of the manor.' The television star has not helped matters by posing for photos on the estate holding a mug with the slogan 'His Lordship'. The resident added: 'He's got this attitude... about how he's improved the place and made it amazing - it was already amazing.'
