Prince Joachim Makes Rare Comment After Kids Stripped of Royal Titles
Originally appeared on E! Online
Prince Joachim of Denmark is thinking about the future.
Two years after moving to the United States in the wake of his mom Margrethe II stripping his kids Nikolai, 25, and Felix, 22, Henrik, 16, and Athena, 13, of their royal titles, the 55-year-old opened up about potential plans to return to the motherland.
"We have a desire to come home," Joachim told TV2 in an interview translated from Danish. "But we also do not rule out the possibility of staying abroad."
Noting how he's in the middle of a three-year job with the Danish Embassy under the Ministry of Defense, Joachim—who shares his adult sons with ex-wife Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg and his younger children with wife Princess Marie—continued, "For now, it is on our radar, when the post here stops, we will return home."
Joachim relocated to the U.S. with Marie and their two kids in the summer of 2023, months after then-queen Margrethe ruled all of his children will no longer be addressed as prince or princess as "necessary future-proofing of the monarchy."

As the Danish Royal House explained in a September 2022 statement, "Her Majesty The Queen wishes to create the framework for the four grandchildren to be able to shape their own lives to a much greater extent without being limited by the special considerations and duties that a formal affiliation with the Royal House of Denmark as an institution involves."
Margrethe added in a personal statement at the time, "It is my duty and my desire as Queen to ensure that the monarchy always shapes itself in keeping with the times. Sometimes, this means that difficult decisions must be made, and it will always be difficult to find the right moment."
The 85-year-old went on to abdicate her post as monarch in 2024, breaking a 900-year tradition. Her eldest son—Joachim's older brother King Frederik X—succeeded the throne.
As for how Joachim's kids are adapting to life without their royal titles? "We are each busy in our own way," he told TV2. "The kids are at school, where they enjoy being challenged and have an ever-growing social circle, and I have my job."
"We are our little nuclear family and enjoy it, and we make sure as much as possible that we also have time for each other," Joachim continued. "That it doesn't always get in the way of work, school and homework."

Bill Maher explains how Trump and Musk went from ‘Brangelina' to ‘Godzilla vs. King Kong'
The fiery feud between President Trump and Elon Musk is the most exciting public breakup since the days of Brangelina, according to Bill Maher. The late-night comedian compared the public warfare and vitriol to that of 'Godzilla vs. King Kong if Godzilla was on ketamine and King Kong had a combover.' The big beautiful break-up is even more shocking because Trump and Musk were 'so close,' like celebrity couples Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie, and Ben Affleck and Jen Lopez, whose seemingly strong but ultimately whirlwind romances gripped tabloids for decades. Advertisement 3 Bill Maher compared President Trump to King Kong if he 'had a combover.' AFP via Getty Images 'They had their own couple name: E-lump,' Maher said. But like the actor pairings, the Musk and Trump demise was a long time coming, he continued. Advertisement 'I can't really think of anything other than the Trump-Elon [fight],' Maher said in his opening monologue Frday for HBO's 'Real Time.' The talk host did a brief rundown of the pair's political breakdown, pinpointing the potential beginning of the end to Trump's meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in the Oval Office last week when Musk showed up sporting a black eye. 3 The feud started when Elon Musk declined Trump's offer to borrow makeup, according to Maher. Getty Images The President claimed he offered makeup to the former Department of Government Efficiency head, but was turned down, which he found 'interesting.' Advertisement 'Yeah, weird, Elon, what sort of man turns down makeup?' Maher chided. The feud slowly simmered as the pair lobbed further accusations against one another, including Musk claiming Trump's tariffs would cause a recession and the President responding that no one wants to buy Tesla's electric vehicles — but 's–t got real' when Musk claimed he was the reason Trump won the election. 3 Trump and Musk had their own couple name, Maher aid: 'E-lump.' MAX 'And Trump said, 'Well, you know what Mars is a s–thole planet.' And Musk said, 'Oh my god, you are not the same man I used to heil,'' Maher said. Advertisement The fighting has only grown worse in recent days, with Musk shockingly claiming on X that Trump's involvement in the Epstein files is the reason they haven't been released. Musk has since deleted the X post. Trump, on the other hand, has tried to play it cool, saying he hasn't given much thought to his former 'First Buddy.' 'The stakes are so high because the winner faces Blake Lively,' Maher joked, referencing the recent public downfall of the actress's previously beloved image. Any good feeling between the two men is likely gone after Musk stepped up his criticism of the Trump-backed 'Big, Beautiful Bill' — and then called for the impeachment of the president and a new political party to challenge the GOP.

The best streaming deals for the week: Find out how to save on YouTube TV, ESPN+ and more
With so many streaming services out there, it can be overwhelming from both a content perspective (so many original shows to binge! And why do the biggest ones always seem to drop at once?) and a budgetary one (so many monthly fees!). If you're trying to find ways to make your monthly bills a little less painful though, you've got a few options. There are all kinds of streaming bundles available right now, so whether you're interested in the best deals on live sports, the best way to watch all your favorite shows, or some combination of both, we can help. (And help save you money in the process.) This week, there are tons of great deals to choose from. From discounts on YouTube TV to sports subscriptions like ESPN+, DAZN, there's something for everyone, and it's all on sale. Oh, and if you think there are no discounts for Netflix, we've got the scoop on how to subscribe to them for less, too. We've narrowed down a list of the best streaming bundles and deals in one place so you can decide which one works best for your viewing habits. Among the best streaming deals this week, you can subscribe to Starz for just $3 per month, get a deal on YouTube TV, or snag a great discount on DIRECTV. If you're a student (and aren't already on a family streaming plan), a few services offer great limited-time discounts, including Max, which offers 50% off their ad-supported plan (so you'll pay $4.99, though the offer is only good for one 12-month period), and Peacock, which costs students $2.99/month. (And note that you can often find a similar deal on Peacock around Black Friday even if you're not a student.) But the best streaming offer for students might just be Hulu's: They offer students a rate of just $1.99/month for as long as you offer proof of enrollment. Some of the best discounts around aren't through special sales, they're through your cell phone provider. T-Mobile offers discounts or free subscriptions to Apple TV+, Hulu, and Netflix (Standard with Ads), Verizon offers discounted $10 subscriptions to the Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle, a Netflix/Max bundle, and YouTube Premium, and select Cricket Wireless plans get Max (with Ads) for free. If you have or want to switch to Xfinity for your internet or cable provider, you can add a $15 streaming bundle into the mix, the Xfinity Streamsaver bundle, which includes three streamers putting out some of the best original content around: Apple TV+, Netflix (Standard with ads) and Peacock. Xfinity internet plans start at $30/month, bringing your total for the Streamsaver bundle to $45/month (that's $10 of savings vs. subscribing to all those services individually). If you're a Spectrum customer, there's a similar cable and streaming bundle available as well and it won't even cost you anything: If you subscribe to Spectrum and opt for a TV Select cable plan or higher, you'll receive free ad-supported subscriptions to Disney+, ViX, Paramount+, as well as Max, which was just recently added to their offerings.

Jana Kramer Says Husband Allan Russell's Comments About Forbidding Her from Doing Sex Scenes Were a 'Joke'
Jana Kramer addressed her husband Allan Russell's statements about not allowing her to perform an intimate scene while on an acting job 'There's a conversation with every [job] we take,' Kramer recently told E! News Kramer also criticized fans for "[ripping] him apart" for his comments about acting in intimate scenesJana Kramer is addressing the controversial statements her husband made about her filming intimate scenes. The One Tree Hill alum, 41, spoke about her husband Allan Russell's thoughts on her taking on acting roles that would require her to be intimate with someone else, in a recent interview with E! News published Friday, June 6. 'He was joking,' Kramer told the outlet of her husband. 'There's a conversation with every [job] we take. It's the same thing with his line of work.' 'I'm not going to do something that is wildly taking my clothes off for no reason,' the actress continued. 'If it is creatively gonna move the needle and it's important to me for the role, he is so supportive.' On the Dec. 8 episode of Kramer's iHeart podcast, Whine Down, she and Russell discussed a recent episode of Yellowstone, in which Wes Bentley and Dawn Olivieri's characters had a sex scene. Without hesitation, the former soccer player told his actress wife she could never take on a similar role. 'There's not part of me that will ever, ever, ever allow that, ever, for a man to be that close to you like that,' he said. 'Never.' 'What if Taylor Sheridan has me audition and I book a role where I have to have that scene?' Kramer responded, referring to Yellowstone's creator. 'Then I will go Tommy Lee on everyone,' Russell, 43, exclaimed. 'I will be phoning the producers and threatening the producers, 'You need to change that scene. Well, this for the good of your health, you need to change this scene.' ' 'No. I wouldn't let you do that scene. No,' he added. 'That's not good for a marriage, that type of role. It's not. Especially [as] a man who's not in the acting world, it's difficult, therefore that's my opinion based on, I'm not in that world. You can keep smiling and laughing if you want. But let's flip it. Let's flip it because we always do that.' Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Speaking with E!, Kramer said that much of her success is owed to her husband. 'I do owe a lot of it to my husband,' she told the outlet. 'In the past I wouldn't have focused so much on the work because I was so worried about, 'OK, what woman is he cheating on me with?' I wasn't able to truly settle and be confident.' 'He's like, 'I'm your lucky charm.' I'm like, 'No, you are!' It's been great,' she added, noting that Russell makes her feel 'not only supported, but loved and like I can do my work.' Kramer also criticized fans for "[ripping] him apart" for his comments about acting in intimate scenes. 'That's what marriage is—it's a conversation. It's not like, 'No, you cannot do this.' I don't think that's healthy,' she finished. The actress and country music star tied the knot with the 44-year-old Scottish soccer player on July 13, 2024, during an intimate wedding at Carnell Estate in Scotland.
