Hugh Jackman's ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness recently filed for divorce almost two years after their breakup announcement, and in case you missed it she had a LOT to say. Deb gave a full-blown statement to the Daily Mail, saying in part "My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep."
And her comments come amid Hugh going public with Sutton Foster, who he's been friends with for years and got especially close to on set of their Broadway play The Music Man. And apparently Deb feels all kinds of ways about her previous friendship with Sutton.
"The fact that Sutton used to go on double dates and tried so hard to befriend Deb is extremely disturbing to her," a source tells the Daily Mail several days following Deb giving the outlet her statement. "She will never have anything to do with Sutton. Deb is friends with Sutton's ex and they both share a deep sense of betrayal."
The insider adds that Deb "cannot forgive" Sutton and feels she "played a role in the breakdown of her marriage" and "should take accountability for this."
"Deb released her statement and is now focusing on moving forward with her life," the source says. "She has done the work that she needs to not allow this to hold her back from living or falling in love again. Deb knows that one day this will all come back around to the both of them."
