The Masti franchise is undergoing an evolution, moving away from its original label as a sex comedy. The success of Masti led to Grand Masti and then Great Grand Masti. However, director and writer
Milap Zaveri
, who is taking the reins of the next instalment, Masti 4, says that this one will be a naughty, fun comedy.
Not an adult comedy.
'When Masti released, it was more like a shock value'
Milap explained the shift by saying, 'We have so much content on OTT platforms already. Earlier when Masti released, it was more like a shock value. Over the years, people thrived on the shock value of the franchise. But I don't think anything shocks anyone anymore. So, the intent is not to shock, the intent is to entertain. That's why I am saying it's a naughty fun comedy film.'
This marks Milap's first time directing the franchise, which features Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi, Elnaaz Norouzi and Ruhii Singh.
Indra Kumar directed the first three parts. 'I wrote the first two parts, so it's a huge responsibility for me to write and direct this one,' he concluded.
'We don't want Masti 4 to be vulgar or cringe'
Milap, who began the UK schedule of Masti 4 recently, revealed, 'I would not like to call Masti 4 a sex comedy. I would like to call it a naughty, fun comedy. One of the compliments Induji (producer, Indra Kumar) gave me when he heard the script was that you've written Masti like Dhamaal. It's got the fun element and it's naughty. We are clear that we don't want it to be vulgar or cringe. We want it to be fun and mad. It's going to be men seeking fun post marriage, almost like the first part.

Urvashi Rautela Claims Theft Of Jewellery Worth Rs 70 Lakh From London Airport: 'The Bag...'

Earlier this month, Urvashi Rautela's mother also accused actress' former manager, Vedika Prakash Shetty, of theft. Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has claimed that her luxury suitcase, packed with jewellery worth ₹70 lakhs, was recently stolen from London's Gatwick Airport. The actress claimed that she was in the city to attend Wimbledon when her bag went missing from the luggage belt. Though the actress tried to find her bag, it was nowhere to be found. 'As a Platinum Emirates Member and a global artist attending Wimbledon, I am deeply disheartened to report that our Christian Dior brown baggage was stolen from the baggage belt at London Gatwick Airport, following our Emirates flight from Mumbai. Despite holding our baggage tag and ticket, the bag went missing directly from the belt area—an alarming breach of airport security. This matter is not only about a lost bag—it's about accountability, safety, and dignity for all travelers," the actress said in a statement, as shared by her team. Urvashi claimed that she even reached out to Emirates support and Gatwick Airport officials, but no one helped her. Besides her strong background in beauty pageants, Urvashi has been part of several Bollywood films, including Singh Saab the Great, Sanam Re, Great Grand Masti and Hate Story 4. She has also gained immense popularity through her appearances in music videos, such as Love Dose and Bijli Ki Taar. Additionally, her involvement in philanthropic activities includes running the Urvashi Rautela Foundation to help underprivileged people and supporting organisations such as PETA India is truly commendable. Her stunning appearances at the Cannes Film Festival and other events often become the talk of the town. Earlier this month, Urvashi Rautela's mother also accused actress' former manager, Vedika Prakash Shetty, of theft. Meera Rautela claimed that Shetty was associated with Urvashi as well from 2015 to 2017 and 'engaged in multiple acts of theft and deceit" during this time. 'Vedika Prakash Shetty was employed as a 24/7 executive assistant to my daughter during 2015-2017. She was hired to assist Urvashi during her reign after returning from Miss Universe in Las Vegas and subsequently during the handover of Miss Universe India crown in 2016. At this time, she was entrusted with various responsibilities, starting from Urvashi's wardrobe, heavy gowns and personal belongings. However, soon we realised that she had engaged in multiple acts of theft and deceit which caused a great deal of financial loss to the family," Urvashi's mother claimed. Urvashi Rautela has been part of several Bollywood films, including Singh Saab the Great, Sanam Re, Great Grand Masti and Hate Story 4. She has also gained immense popularity through her appearances in music videos, such as Love Dose and Bijli Ki Taar. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Actor Nishant Malkani on 50-day transformation: The mirror was like a weighing machine

Actor Nishant Malkani recently went through a 50-day physical transformation, which he had shared on Instagram. Actor Nishant Malkani The 37-year-old — seen in shows like Dhaage Mohabbat Ke and Guddan - Tumse Na Ho Paayega — tells us that he had lost track of his fitness, and some 'disheartening personal experiences' also led to his sleep, diet, and overall mindset becoming 'haywire.' The turning point for him came when he was offered a role that demanded peak physical fitness. 'I was offered Masti 4 in May, but the offer came to me for what I was a year back, not what I had become,' Nishant recounts, adding, 'The makers met me and were surprised by what I had done to myself. That was the first blow, and what followed was the time frame for the shoot to begin in July. I asked the team for exactly 50 days to turn things around, and their trust pushed me to take the most challenging road, and I retained my six-pack abs, and today I am heading for eight.' He further explains, 'Going out with friends, eating mindlessly, and rushing in life just to forget a few disheartening personal experiences that at [one] point made so much sense, but today I realised how irrelevant all this is. The mirror was like a weighing machine. I had procured a 28% body [fat] that I have finally brought down to 8% with a 70-30 ratio between exercises and a good, calculated diet.' True to his word, Nishant joined the film's team on set in July. 'On July 11, exactly 50 days after May 19, I was back in shape to start the shoot of the film as one of the leads. I'm working with some of the fittest actors of the industry — Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh, [and] Tusshar Kapoor — for the film slated [to release] for this year-end,' he shares.
