Kadiri constituency mahanadu meeting held grandly at PVR Function Hall
Kadiri: TheTelugu Desam Party (TDP) conducted a grand Mahanadu meeting for the Kadiri constituency at PVR Function Hall in Kadiri town. The event saw the participation of Sri Sathya Sai district party president Anjinappa, constituency in-charge Abdul Waheed, and Kadiri MLA Kandikunta Venkata Prasad. The leaders hoisted the party flag and paid floral tributes to the late Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.
During the meeting, several key resolutions were passed, including: Drinking water supply project to Kadiri town via Cherlopalli Reservoir, Handri-Neeva Lift Irrigation Project for Gandlapenta Mandal, Completion of pending HNSS canal works in Talupula Mandal to supply water to NP Kunta, Development of a Tourism Circuit in the region, Inclusion of Kadiri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple under the PRASAD scheme, Establishment of government mortuaries in every mandal headquarters, Sanction of a Kendriya Vidyalaya for the region, Residential schools (for boys and girls) under MJPA BC Welfare Gurukulam, Funding for incomplete Minority School Complex buildings, Establishment of a district-level BC Study Circle, Sanction of a Women's Degree College, Approval for an Engineering College, Establishment of a Nursing College attached to the Kadiri Area Hospital, MLA Venkata Prasad addressed party cadre and issued key directions, including strategies for mobilizing public support for the upcoming Mahanadu in Kadapa district.

He said the state was committed to planting one crore trees this year and criticised the previous regime for felling trees during VIP visits. He called for village-level celebrations around tree planting and encouraged public ownership of the green initiative. Later, Minister Gottipati Ravi kumar visited Janakavaram village, offering financial support to a deceased farmer's family and met several families of TDP workers across Addanki constituency. In Tamavaram village, he extended aid to the family of a party worker who died in an accident.

Agriculture minister P Prasad, who was to attend the function, withdrew hours before it began. 'Raj Bhavan made some unexpected changes in the proceedings. It was informed on Wednesday evening that a floral tribute to Bharat Mata's portrait would be included. We don't oppose Bharat Mata, but the one placed on the dais is typically used by RSS and even features a non-official Indian map,' Prasad said. He said the portrait appeared recently, including during arecent lecture by RSS ideologue S Gurumurthy, organised after Operation Sindoor. Raj Bhavan went ahead with the event without govt participation. According to governor Rajendra V Arlekar, the state brass had asked for the portrait's removal, a request Raj Bhavan denied. 'We cannot keep away Bharat Mata. These are the ideals we live for,' he said. Sources said Prasad discussed the matter with CM Pinarayi Vijayan before skipping the event. Addanki: Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has emphasised that everyone bears the responsibility of planting and protecting trees. He participated in the Vanamahotsavam programme organised by the state government for World Environment Day and planted saplings at Chandaluru in J Pangaluru mandal on Thursday. Speaking at the event, Ravi Kumar stated that environmental protection is everyone's responsibility and called upon each individual to plant at least one tree as their contribution. He advised everyone to develop an attachment to plants and trees. He criticised the previous government, alleging that hundreds of trees were cut down during former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's tours. He highlighted that the coalition government led by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu gives high priority to public health and forest conservation. He said the government's commitment to environmental protection and called upon everyone to take inspiration from CM Chandrababu Naidu's initiative of planting one crore trees as part of Vanamahotsavam, urging people to organise tree plantation programmes like festivals in every village. Following the tree plantation programme, Minister Gottipati visited Janakavaram village in Panguluru mandal to console the family of a farmer who had recently passed away. He provided financial assistance to the farmer's family members and assured that the coalition government would stand by the farmers in their times of need. Later, he visited the family of Venkata Rao, a TDP worker from Tammavaram village in Korisapadu mandal, who had recently died in an accident. Minister Gottipati consoled the bereaved family members and provided them with financial assistance. The Minister emphasised the importance of every Telugu Desam Party worker taking party membership to become eligible for insurance coverage benefits. He explained that this would ensure financial security for party workers and their families during difficult times.
