Inter Milan are in the midst of an extremely busy schedule.
Since the return from the international break at the end of March, Inter have already played three matches. And they have another one on the way tomorrow against Bayern Munich.
Inter ground out a win against Udinese in their return from the international break. Then they drew against AC Milan in the first leg of a Coppa Italia semifinal tie.
However, Inter's draw against Parma over the weekend was a much more bitter result than that against the Rossoneri.
It is not, however, a result that the Nerazzurri can afford to dwell on. They have a huge match tomorrow – and then they're in action in Serie A next weekend yet again.

'Not just in terms of the substitutions. But also in the choice of the starting eleven.'
'Between injuries and suspensions, like Dumfries who for me has been their key player recently, Inzaghi has to think well in advance,' Bergomi said of the Inter coach's squad rotation.
Bergomi went on, 'I might a broken record, but I have to repeat: Inter have the highest average squad age in Serie A, and they play more than anyone else.'
'If you don't make changes, the players get injured,' he went on.
'Inzaghi makes them. He has to make them.'
'But of course, then if you allow a comeback from 2-0 up, that's a problem.'
'But the physical decline also has to be taken into consideration.'

Italy Turns to Gennaro Gattuso to get World Cup Hopes Back on Track

Former hard-tackling midfielder Gennaro Gattuso was named Italy coach on Sunday, tasked with reviving the country's already-flagging World Cup qualifying hopes. Gattuso replaces Luciano Spalletti, who was fired last week after Italy lost its opening qualifier 3-0 at Norway to spark fears that the four-time champion will fail to qualify for a third straight World Cup. Gattuso lifted one of those World Cups as a player, in 2006. "Gattuso is a symbol of Italian soccer, the blue shirt is like a second skin for him," Italian soccer federation president Gabriele Gravina said. "His motivation, his professionalism and his experience will be fundamental to best face the national team's next matches. "Aware of the importance of the objective we want to achieve, I thank him for the willingness and total dedication with which he accepted this challenge." Claudio Ranieri was the Italian soccer federation's top choice to replace Spalletti but he turned down the offer. Gattuso's last coaching job was at Hajduk Split but he left the Croatian club by mutual consent at the start of the month after just one season in charge. The 47-year-old had previously coached AC Milan, Napoli, Valencia and Marseille, among others. Check out the kickoff of the one year to go ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup! As a player, Gattuso also won two league titles and two Champions League trophies with Milan, where he made 468 appearances and scored 11 goals. His only goal in 73 appearances for Italy was a fierce 25-meter strike against England in a 1-0 win in November 2000. Gattuso's only trophy as a coach was the Italian Cup with Napoli in 2010. Italy is already nine points behind Norway in its World Cup qualifying group, albeit having played two matches fewer than the group leader. The Azzurri followed up its dismal opening loss with a 2-0 win over minnow Moldova last Monday in what was Spalletti's final match in charge. He had revealed that he was being fired the previous day. Gattuso's first match as Italy coach will be at home to Estonia on Sept. 5. Israel is also in five-team Group I. Italy hosts Norway in the final round on Nov. 16. Only the group winner advances directly to the 2026 tournament co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. The runner-up enters playoff brackets to be played next March. That was the stage where Italy was eliminated by Sweden and North Macedonia and ruled out of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, respectively. Gattuso will be presented at a news conference in Rome on Thursday. Reporting by The Associated Press. Want great stories delivered right to your inbox? Ferrari wins the 24 Hours of Le Mans for third year in a row

LE MANS, France -- Ferrari won the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the third year running Sunday but a late surge from Porsche Penske Motorsport denied the Italian manufacturer a podium sweep. The No. 83 Ferrari 499P crew of Robert Kubica, Ye Yifei and Philip Hanson took the win as Ferrari won for the 12th time in the 93rd edition of the storied race, which began 102 years ago. Their bright-yellow car, privately entered by the AF Corse team, got the better of Porsche and the two official factory-entered Ferraris. Kubica took the checkered flag after a marathon spell at the wheel Sunday afternoon to make sure of the win. 'It has been a long 24 hours,' Kubica said to his team over the radio and thanked them in Italian. 'Enjoy.' The Penske-operated No. 6 Porsche 963 of Kévin Estre, Laurens Vanthoor and Matt Campbell surged late in the race to finish second ahead of the two other Ferraris, 14 seconds behind the winner. For Kubica and Ye, it was redemption after their car — then with Robert Shwartzman as third driver — was a strong contender to win last year's race before a crash, a penalty and finally a race-ending mechanical failure. It's a career highlight for 40-year-old Polish driver Kubica, whose promising Formula 1 career was interrupted in 2011 when a crash while competing in a rally left him with severe injuries. Kubica is the first driver from Poland to win Le Mans outright, and Ye is the first from China to achieve that feat. 'It's a great story that we finally put a perfect ending with Robert,' Ye told broadcasters. 'It looks easier from the outside than it is in the car. It's just unbelievable.' Ferrari was off the pace in qualifying, with the two factory cars 7th and 11th on the grid and the eventual winner 13th. But once tennis great Roger Federer waved the starting flag Saturday, Ferrari's pace over long race runs soon became clear. After a close fight with Toyota in last year's race, this time Ferrari often seemed in near-total control. Early Sunday morning, it was on target for the first top-class podium sweep by one manufacturer since 2012. Ferrari didn't have it all its own way in the final hours, though. Alessandro Pier Guidi spun in the No. 51 car on his way into the pits, losing the lead, while the resurgent No. 6 Porsche piled on the pressure. Le Mans is as much a test of drivers' resilience as it is the cars' reliability. Both held up well in an unusually calm race that avoided much of the usual nighttime drama with few significant crashes and just one safety-car period. Polish team Inter Europol Competition won the LMP2 class and Manthey won the GT3 class in a Porsche 911.

Inter Milan Vice-President Sends Message Of Support To Mehdi Taremi Amid Iran-Israel War: ‘We're Sticking Close To Him'

Inter Milan Vice-President Sends Message Of Support To Mehdi Taremi Amid Iran-Israel War: 'We're Sticking Close To Him' Inter Milan Vice-President Javier Zanetti says the Nerazzurri are 'sticking close to' Mehdi Taremi amid Israeli airstrikes on Iran. The Nerazzurri Vice-President spoke to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. He also backed Cristian Chivu to do a good job as Inter coach. Advertisement Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi is currently unable to leave his home country of Iran. The plan had been for the former Porto striker to join his Inter teammates in the United States for the Club World Cup this weekend. However, the unexpected development of Israeli airstrikes have changed all of that. The Israeli strikes which began on Thursday evening have naturally closed off Iranian airspace. Taremi had hoped to fly from Iran to the US. However, it was unsafe to do so. And right now, it is far from clear when that might change. The Israeli strikes show little sign of stopping, whilst Iran have responded with fire of their own within Israel as the conflict escalates. 'And we want to stick close to him in this particular moment.' Meanwhile, the Inter Vice-President also gave his thoughts on the start of the Cristian Chivu era at Inter. 'Tomorrow I'll travel to Los Angeles to be with the team,' he said. Advertisement 'We want to have a great tournament.' Zanetti declared that 'we have great faith in Cristian.'
