What Rashford's amazing life in Barcelona could look like, from luxury community where Messi lived to sun-soaked beaches

MARCUS RASHFORD could live like a Spanish king in Barcelona if he completes his dream move from Manchester United.
The 27-year-old is on the verge of becoming the first England player in 36 YEARS to wear the iconic Blaugrana strips, after Gary Lineker' s famous stint in the 80s.

SunSport exclusively revealed that Rashford arrived in sunny Spain on Sunday night ahead of his season-long loan move- after a nightmare private plane journey was derailed by none other than band Oasis.
Rashford is closing in on his dream move to Barcelona, who will have an option to BUY the Red Devils academy graduate come the end of next season for a reported €30million (£26m).
With limitless cash, a pending move could see him move to same glitzy neighbourhood as some of the world's greatest ever footballers in Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho.
He could also be offered a company car in the shape of a fancy SEAT CUPRA, whose HQ is Catalonia's cosmopolitan capital.
And Passeig de Gràcia, a luxury shopping district that's home to boutiques for Prada and Louis Vuitton, would keep the fashion conscious star looking sharp.
SunSport looks at what Rashford's life in Barcelona could look like...
Where he'd live
Bellamar, the exclusive private hideaway tucked away in the Castelldefels hills, is the area where most of Barcelona's elite live.
It's where club legend Messi made his home for many years - first living in a £12.5million mansion with wife Antonella and their kids.
Such was the need for Messi to have his own peace and quiet, former team-mate Ivan Rakitic revealed how the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner bought his neighbours house in 2017.
Due to environmental restrictions, there is also a no-fly zone in place over the homes located in Castelldefels suburbs.
The fashionable side of town is situated along the Spanish coastline, approximately 12 miles from Camp Nou and five miles from the club's Joan Gamper training base.

And Barcelona's new No10 Lamine Yamal lives a short drive away in Sant Joan Despí, after recently moving out of the youth digs La Masia.
Ronaldinho called Bellamar his home when he played for the Blaugrana.
Former Liverpool stars Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho also purchased properties there when they played before Barcelona.
Manchester-born Rashford has always resided in rainy England, temporarily setting up shop in Birmingham after joining Aston Villa on a six-month loan in February.
But he's set for a drastic change in lifestyle and scenery, with access to stunning sun-soaked beaches on the Balearic Sea.
In fact, buying a property nearby would see Rashford able to walk a few minutes to enjoy downtime at a quiet beach at Platja de Castelldefels.

Michelin-star food
Of course, Spain is the country where amazing cuisine is enjoyed.
And Barcelona has it in abundance, with Spanish tapas, fresh seafood paella and healthy Gazpacho.
Barca stars are often spotted dining at Michelin-starred restaurants during their time off.
One of those is where the team's Christmas party is often held at Via Veneto.
Messi was frequently spotted at Estimar and three-star venue Disfrutar - which was later crowned the No1 restaurant in the WORLD in 2024.
Rashford could even take words of advice from former team-mate Scott McTominay, who has been lapping up Italian treats in Naples during his title-winning season with Napoli.
Company car
In Manchester, Rashford drives a top of the range Range Rover Velar worth over £85,000.
He has also been seen with a Rolls-Royce Cullinan and a Rolls-Royce Wraith, which he replaced after a crash in 2024.
Should he move to Barcelona he would certainly get the option of driving a company car worth at least £55,000.
The Catalans have signed a new deal with SEAT CUPRA, with most of the team getting the keys to their customised motors last month.
Rashford is known for his love of cars.
The Three Lions winger also has a £280,000 McLaren 765 Long Tail and a £350,000 Lamborghini Urus Performante.
Fashion is covered
Like most footballers, Rashford has made no secret of his love of designer wear.
Not only has he been spotted eyeing up the latest trends at Paris Fashion Week, he's also a model in his own right.
He has featured in fashion campaigns, including a Burberry campaign and a Vogue cover.
And on a recent holiday in Saint-Tropez, the forward was pictured wearing a matching two-piece Louis Vuitton set costing £2,690, with a luxury watch on either arm.
On his left wrist Rashford appeared to be wearing a Patek Philippe Aquanaut, a timepiece that is listed at an eye-watering £295,895 on a website that specialises in luxury watches.
12
The Rolex watch on his right arm was estimated to have cost around £40,000.
For his love of fashion, expect Rashford to shun the busy, pedestrian Plaza Catalunya.
Instead, he would most likely be seen visiting the upscale boutiques on offer at Passeig de Gràcia.
The likes of Prada, Gucci and Louis Vuitton all have stores there.
With Rashford on some serious wedge, he will certainly be a cherished customer.

Friday's briefing: West Ham's Lucas Paqueta cleared of spot-fixing charges

Ella Toone has revealed her grandmother died on the morning of England's Euro 2025 final victory over Spain. Paqueta cleared of spot-fixing charges West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta is looking forward to playing football 'with a smile on his face' again after four spot-fixing charges against him which could have effectively finished his career were found not proven. The Brazilian has been under investigation since August 2023, with the Football Association charging him in May 2024 with four alleged breaches of Rule E5.1, which relates to any attempt to improperly influence any aspect of a match. It was alleged he deliberately attempted to receive a card in four Premier League games between November 2022 and August 2023. He learned the outcome on Friday, and for Paqueta the decision has lifted a huge weight from his shoulders. 'Since the first day of this investigation, I have maintained my innocence against these extremely serious accusations,' he said. 'I can't say anything more at this time, but I would like to express how grateful I am to God and how eager I am to return to playing football with a smile on my face. 'To my wife who never let go of my hand, to West Ham United, to the fans who always cheered me on, and to my family, friends and the legal team who have supported me – thank you for everything.' Isak training alone at Sociedad Alexander Isak is training alone at former club Real Sociedad (Owen Humphreys/PA) Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is training individually at Real Sociedad, the Basque club have confirmed. The Sweden international, who is reported to have asked Newcastle executives to explore a move away from St James' Park, has been heavily linked with Liverpool. His former club Sociedad confirmed on Thursday he was 'working with his trainers' at the club's Zubieta facility. The player did not travel with the rest of the Newcastle squad earlier this month for their pre-season tour of Asia amid speculation over his future, with the club saying at the time he was absent due to a minor thigh injury. The decision to train at his old club rather than his current one will heighten speculation that Isak sees his future away from Newcastle. The Manchester United midfielder lost her father Nick to prostate cancer last September, three days short of his 60th birthday. He had been diagnosed the day after watching his daughter score in the Euro 2022 final as England beat Germany 2-1 at Wembley. Crisis growing at Wednesday A message from Henrik 🇩🇰🦉 — Sheffield Wednesday (@swfc) July 31, 2025 The financial crisis at Sheffield Wednesday is causing growing concern within the English Football League over whether the club will be able to play their opening game of the Sky Bet Championship season, the PA news agency understands. It is understood Wednesday players have refused to feature in a scheduled behind-closed-doors friendly against Burnley on Saturday after the club failed to pay their wages on time. The Owls are currently under an EFL embargo for unpaid transfer fees and owner Dejphon Chansiri is trying to sell the cash-strapped club. Wednesday appointed Henrik Pedersen as their new head coach on Thursday following the departure of Danny Rohl and, just hours later, Saturday's friendly was cancelled as players and coaching staff decided to boycott the match after not receiving July's monthly salary on time. Favorites emerge to land disgruntled Commanders WR Terry McLaurin

August 1 - A pair of AFC teams quickly emerged as the strong favorites to vie for wide receiver Terry McLaurin if the Washington Commanders grant his trade request that was reported by multiple outlets Thursday. The Commanders are the odds-on favorite to retain McLaurin at -250 at DraftKings. But the book is also offering odds on the 31 other NFL franchises, led by the New England Patriots at +450 and the Las Vegas Raiders at +500. The next-shortest odds belong to the Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans at +1100 each. The Patriots signed veteran Stefon Diggs to a three-year, $69 million contract this offseason, but the 31-year-old is coming off an ACL injury that ended his 2024 season. Beyond him is a slew of veterans including DeMario Douglas, Mack Hollins, Kendrick Bourne and Kayshon Boutte, but McLaurin would provide a significant upgrade to pair with Diggs. The Raiders could likewise benefit from a proven playmaker to aid veteran quarterback Geno Smith. Their depth chart is currently topped by Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker and Dont'e Thornton Jr., with second-year tight end Brock Bowers the clear No. 1 threat in the passing game. The big question remains whether the Commanders would entertain parting with McLaurin as they prepare for a 2025 season in which they are expected to be a significant threat in the NFC. Washington added veteran wide receiver Deebo Samuel over the offseason, but McLaurin remains the No. 1 wideout among a group that also includes Noah Brown and Michael Gallup. Frustrated by the lack of progress in negotiations toward a contract extension, McLaurin sat out the first four days of training camp before reporting on Sunday. After reporting, he can no longer be fined $50,000 per day. McLaurin, who turns 30 in September, became a hold-in and was placed on the team's physically unable to perform list with an apparent ankle injury suffered last season. He did not attend organized team activities and mandatory minicamp. He did, however, participate in spring workouts. "You'd like to get these things done quicker, but it doesn't always happen that way," general manager Adam Peters said. "Whatever happens along the way, just understand he's a great player and we want to keep him here." With a base salary of $15.5 million and cap hit of $25.5 million in the final season of a three-year, $68.3 million contract, the speedster is coming off a career year with 1,096 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns and 82 receptions on 117 targets. He added three scores and 227 yards on 14 receptions in three playoff games. McLaurin and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels helped lead Washington (12-5) to its best season since it won the Super Bowl in 1991. The Commanders knocked off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC wild-card round and Detroit Lions in the divisional round before falling to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. Over six seasons with Washington, the two-time Pro Bowl selection (2022, 2024) has 6,379 receiving yards, 38 touchdowns and 460 catches in 97 games. A team captain, McLaurin has hit the 1,000-yard mark for a franchise-record five straight seasons despite instability at the quarterback position before Daniels' NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign. --Field Level Media

Trey Lance, Chargers trounce Lions in Hall of Fame Game

August 1 - Chargers backup quarterback Trey Lance kicked off the NFL preseason in style, throwing two touchdown passes while leading Los Angeles to a 34-7 rout of the Detroit Lions in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, on Thursday. With the star quarterbacks, Los Angeles' Justin Herbert and Detroit's Jared Goff, among the many regulars sitting out, Lance completed 13 of 20 passes for 120 yards. Chargers running back Kimani Vidal scored two touchdowns while running for 37 yards on nine carries. After Detroit's Grant Stuard fumbled away the opening kickoff, Lance led a 28-yard scoring drive that ended with a 5-yard scoring pass to Will Dissly. A 60-yard interception return by Nikko Reed set up the Chargers for their second touchdown, a 2-yard run by Vidal for a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter. Craig Reynolds (10 carries, 38 yards) scored the Lions' lone touchdown on a 3-yard run late in the second period. Lance's 15-yard TD pass to KeAndre Lambert-Smith made it 21-7 before halftime. Chargers quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, an undrafted free agent out of Florida State, connected on 2 of 3 passes for 25 yards. Detroit QB Kyle Allen went 9-for-14 for 91 yards with two interceptions, and Hendon Hooker wound up 3-for-6 for 18 yards with an interception. Lions wide receiver Dominic Lovett logged five receptions for 31 yards. --Field Level Media
