She was one of three Guernsey medallists on the third night of athletics in Kirkwall as Nic Ackermann won men's 400m hurdles gold and Darcey Hodgson took silver in the women's event.
"I was hoping to do well and I have done well, so I'm really happy," Hancock told BBC Radio Guernsey
"The first time I did it there was a big crowd and everyone I knew was here, so having a celebration there were lots of cheers.
"There's fewer cheers but it's still lovely to be here and there's a big crowd and a good competitive atmosphere."

Lakers' LeBron James reacts to Stephen Curry's awesome Olympic throwback
The post Lakers' LeBron James reacts to Stephen Curry's awesome Olympic throwback appeared first on ClutchPoints. The 2024 Paris Olympics will forever be cherished by Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry as they led Team USA to the gold medal after going through the gauntlet against Serbia and France. Team USA survived Serbia, led by Nikola Jokic and Bogdan Bogdanovic, in the semifinals, 95-91, before fending off the star-studded host country in the finals, 98-87. James and Curry, along with Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant, provided the heroics in both games, allowing the United States to capture the gold medal for the fifth straight time. For a brief stretch, fans of the Lakers and the Warriors were on the same page. The 37-year-old Curry took to Instagram to reminisce about their victory over France and his entire experience in the 2024 Paris Olympics. 'A year ago, today. We did that! Loved hooping with my guys, representing our country, and bringing home the 🥇. Memories for a lifetime. Avengers forever. #nuitnuit,' wrote the Warriors guard. The 40-year-old James chimed in with a short comment. 'Yes, sir! 🫡👑💪🏾,' wrote the Lakers forward. James and Curry have developed a tight bond over the years, a complete turnaround from their tension-filled rivalry during the Warriors' dynastic run. Since then, they've found a kindred spirit in each other—two future Hall of Famers fueled by their families and communities. Both glowed in the City of Lights last year, and that's a shared experience of a lifetime. Decades from now, when they're not playing for the Lakers and the Warriors anymore, James and Curry can always look back on how they stood head and shoulders above the rest of the world. It's fair to say that the 2024 Paris Olympics could be the final hurrah for James and Curry on Team USA. If that truly is the case, what a way to say 'night, night.' Guernsey FC begin league campaign with 4-1 Wick win
Guernsey FC began their first season in the Southern Combination Premier Division with a 4-1 win over Wick at Victoria Park. The Green Lions were playing in the ninth tier of English football for the first time in 12 years after their relegation from the Isthmian League in April. The win came in the week Guernsey were expelled from the FA Cup after fielding an ineligible player in their 1-1 draw with Bedfont Sports last week. Ross Allen and Brandon Wallace both went close early on before Tom Vaudin gave Guernsey a 30th minute lead. The defender got his first goal for the club on his 100th appearance as he reacted quickest at a corner. It took just four minutes for the islanders to double their lead as Fin du Port turned in a free-kick. Allen hit the crossbar 13 minutes after the break with a shot on the turn, but Wick pulled a goal back four minutes later as Dave Crouch finished well. Sam Murray missed a couple of good chances soon after, before going close with an 84th-minute header. The striker finally got the goal his endeavour deserved three minutes later when he finished well into the bottom corner. The win was completed in the first minute of stoppage time when Allen converted from the penalty spot after Will Fazakerley was tripped in the box. Guernsey FC expelled from FA Cup after admin error Guernsey FC force FA Cup replay after Bedfont Sports draw "It's about the result really and it's good to get the win," Guernsey FC manager Tony Vance told BBC Radio Guernsey. "We found ourselves in an unusual situation where obviously we had a lot of the ball and a lot of the ascendancy. "But then what happened was it was almost like we lost our focus because we didn't quite have the right mentality to go and be ruthless after six or seven years of being on the other side of things and trying to stop every attack. "Here we had a chance to go and create and and I think I think we found ourselves in that position where we're not used to it. "But it was a question of getting that first goal and then the second of course, and then maybe from that we we can build something and once we got that I thought we'd played some good football and created some good openings, but we weren't quite ruthless enough." Jersey cruise to eight-wicket win over Guernsey
Jersey cruised to an eight-wicket win over Guernsey in the 50-over inter-insular at the KGV. The win was the fifth Jersey's men have got over Guernsey in all formats this season as they warm up for the ICC Challenge League A tournament they will host later this month. Batting first, Guernsey restricted the hosts to 150 all out off 43 overs, as George Richardson returned impressive figures of 5-38 off his 10 overs. In reply Jersey needed just 25.2 overs to reach 152 as Harrison Carlyon hit 85. Jersey showed their intentions from the opening delivery when Lucas Barker was caught by Charlie Brennan at square leg off Julius Sumerauer for a first-ball duck. Barker's fellow opener Ben Fitchet was bowled for nought by Richardson in the next over to leave Guernsey on 4-2. Matt Stokes and Martin Dale Bradley put on 31 for the next wicket before Stokes was bowled by Richardson for 13 to leave Guernsey on 33-3 off 5.5 overs. Richardson dismissed Guernsey skipper Ollie Nightingale for a single two overs later before Bradley fell victim to Sumerauer for 28 to leave the Sarnians on 49-5 off 13 overs. Tom Nightingale and Ben Ferbrache steadied the Guernsey innings with a 43-run sixth-wicket stand before Richardson bowled Nightingale for 23. Ferbrache went on to make 29 off 64 balls before Harrison Carlyon trapped him lbw to leave Guernsey on 118-5 with 16 overs to go. Ninth man in Luke Bichard showed some resistance with a 39-ball 29 that included the only six of the innings, but Guernsey were bowled out for 150 off 43 overs. Jersey - who had beaten Guernsey in their T20 inter-insulars and in the T20 World Cup qualifiers - were in no mood to hang around as they put Guernsey's bowlers to the sword. Opener Nick Greenwood went for 20 after Adam Martel trapped him lbw, but Carlyon and Glamorgan star Asa Tribe came together to put on 108 for the second wicket in 19 overs. Carlyon hit 12 fours and two sixes in his 80-ball knock before he was caught by Tom Nightingale off Charlie Forshaw's bowling. Tribe went on to score an unbeaten 41 off 52 balls as Jersey kept their unbeaten run over Guernsey going for another year - Guernsey have not beaten Jersey over 50 overs since 2015.
