Christian school teacher is arrested for alleged sexual relationship with female student
Sarah Huggins Logan, a 35-year-old teacher at North River Christian Academy in Alabama, was charged on Friday over the alleged misconduct.
It is understood the parents of the alleged juvenile victim learned of the twisted affair on July 16.
They allegedly alerted the school and authorities that their underage daughter had been involved in a sexual relationship with a teacher.
The school said in a statement they 'notified the appropriate state and local authorities' and had 'cooperated completely with the responsible agencies.'
An investigation was immediately launched by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Violent Crimes Unit.
Logan, who appears to be married with two children, was nabbed after a series of interviews and after police obtained 'other evidence', authorities said.
Now, authorities have expressed concerns that there could be more victims and are urging anyone with further information to come forward.
She was charged with being a school employee engaging in a sex act, but more charges could soon be added.
It is unclear how old the student involved was. It is also unclear when the alleged offending took place.
The school said: 'It should be self-evident to say that this incident is heart rending for all involved. This includes especially the families directly impacted.
'We have prayed for them and encouraged our entire school family to hold them up in their personal prayers. This situation is easy for no one; there are only degrees of difficulty.
'Our first concern is for the health and welfare of our students, staff, and families.
'Contributing to rumors and suspicions profits no one and contributes only to the hardships experienced by those impacted.'

'The closest thing I can compare it to is an abandoned gym locker room from a forgotten high school - grim, damp, smelling of mildew and regret.' In a letter to the Justice Department on Monday, Greene urged the administration to ask the president for clemency consideration for Santos. The conservative firebrand claimed in her letter that Santos' sentence 'extends far beyond what is warranted.' She called his seven-year sentence 'excessive' and noted that other lawmakers who have 'done far worse still walk free.' 'George Santos has taken responsibility. He's shown remorse. It's time to correct this injustice. We must demand equal justice under the law!' But it's curious timing as Greene has fallen out of Trump's tight inner circle and GOP leadership. Earlier this week, the Georgia lawmaker told the Daily Mail that she believes the GOP is abandoning the 'America first' principles of the MAGA base. 'I think the Republican Party has turned its back on America First and the workers and just regular Americans,' she said. Although Greene did reiterate her loyalty to Trump, she has split with the administration's stance on Gaza by calling Israel's actions a 'genocide.' MTG also recently demanded the DOJ release all files relating to Jeffrey Epstein. Greene's letter also comes after Trump declined to rule out pardoning Santos during an interview with Newsmax last week. However, the president noted that Santos did 'lie like hell' during his Congressional tenure. Trump went on to praise Santos because his 'vote was solid' for Republicans, while adding, 'And I didn't know him, but he was 100 percent for Trump.' The president concluded that no one has approached him about pardoning the former GOP lawmaker. Santos has previously stated that he asked the White House for clemency consideration. In the past, Trump has provided sweeping pardons and clemency to individuals who have proven to be loyal supporters of his administration. Upon assuming office for his second term, Trump issued pardons for all individuals imprisoned for the Capitol riot on January 6th, 2021. Santos became embroiled in numerous scandals for lying about his education, employment history and personal wealth. After a scathing Ethics Committee report on his campaign's financial abuses, Santos was expelled from Congress in December 2023. He became the sixth lawmaker ever to be expelled from Congress and the only member thrown out without having been convicted of a crime. During this time, Greene was one of the few lawmakers who publicly supported Santos in Congress. Meanwhile, Santos dismissed his indictments - and eventual conviction - for money laundering and fraud as a 'witch hunt.'

Furious sea lion attacks and bites girl, 9, learning to surf off California coast
An angry sea lion bit a nine-year-old girl learning how to surf off the California coast, leaving her with bruises and puncture marks. Corale Olsen was enjoying surf camp at Asilomar State Beach with her siblings when they suddenly spotted the animal in the water. Within minutes, the ferocious sea lion pounced on Olsen while they swam 'pretty deep in the ocean,' she said. 'The sea lion went under my instructor's leg, and then it came up to me and it bit me. And then I got dragged under water,' Olsen told KSBW. 'It was pain, and I was screaming,' she recalled, adding that her surf instructor immediately stepped in to help. Her coach, Alex De Marignac, quickly grabbed Corale, her brother and sister and brought them to shore after she was bitten. 'I had two kids under each arm and one hanging off my neck, and yeah, we all made it,' De Marignac told the outlet. Corale was then taken to the emergency room to assess her injures. She was left with bruising on her leg and puncture wounds from the sea lion's bites. Olsen was seen standing on one leg as she gripped crutches in the emergency room. Her siblings, who witnessed the chaos unfold in the water and hospital room, were very concerned for her safety. 'I was very worried, honestly. I was in the room, and I was worried. So, I was telling her to calm down,' her sister, Skye Olsen, said. Meanwhile, De Marignac said this was the first time in his life he saw a sea lion attack like that. 'I have surfed in these waters since I was about 6 years old. Never, ever seen something like that,' Marignac explained. He believes the sea lion may have acted that way because it was territorial. 'I think the rule of thumb is make sure to give animals their space. I think it's totally fine to be curious, but I'd say never get a better look by getting closer to the animal,' he continued. Bruises and bite marks are seen on the girl's leg after the sea animal pounced on Olsen, who's spent most of her life with her siblings in the water, is eager to get back in despite the scary incident. 'If something happens, that doesn't mean that you can't stop doing what you love,' she stated. Sea lions are commonly spotted in California, but recently, attacks have been on the rise. According to marine experts, the animals have a short temper because toxic algae blooms have been poisoning marine mammals recently, Today reported. The algae makes sea lions become more aggressive, especially when they find themselves in shallow water around humans. Although authorities typically respond fast to sea lion attacks, the survival rate for the animals is about 50 percent thanks to the surge in algae blooming, per the outlet. Marine Mammal Care Center CEO John Warner says the sea lion's behavior doesn't stem from anger. 'They're reacting, not so much attacking,' Warner explained.
