Inside You season 5 cast and every fan-favourite making a comeback
You season FIVE sees a number of old characters return for the final chapter as Joe Goldberg's past comes back to haunt him.
WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for You season five.
You season five brings the Joe Goldberg saga full circle, with numerous familiar faces making a comeback for the concluding chapter.
Picking up three years after the events of season four, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is now living in New York with his wife Kate Lockwood (Charlotte Ritchie) and their son Henry.
However, it isn't long before Joe's gaze falls upon Bronte (Madeline Brewer), a budding writer and employee at Mooney's bookstore, who has a dark past.
As Bronte struggles to shake off her abusive ex-boyfriend Clayton (Tom Francis), she suddenly vanishes, leaving Joe frantic with worry.
He manages to track her down to a beach house, where he suspects Clayton has taken her, and the two are reunited, ultimately leading to a romantic encounter between the "star-crossed lovers".
But when Joe hears a commotion downstairs, he discovers Clayton threatening Bronte, and the two men engage in a fierce fight, ending with Joe overpowering Clayton and delivering a fatal blow to the head, smashing it into the fireplace.
In a stunning twist, Dominique (Natasha Benham) appears, having live-streamed the entire sequence of events on social media, as Bronte stands by, holding a taser.
The subsequent episode reveals that Bronte had been catfishing Joe as a means of seeking revenge for her friend Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) and justice for Dr Nicky (John Stamos), Clayton's father.
This catfishing saga triggers the reappearance of several familiar faces in episodes six and seven, titled The Dark Face Of Love and #JoeGoldberg.
Every returning character in You season 5
Guinevere Beck
Central to Bronte's catfishing scheme is her bond with Beck, who was her TA during her writing studies when she relocated to New York and inspired her to persist with her writing, even amidst her mother's illness.
As Bronte narrates the events, a flashback shows her meeting with Beck, who walks into the room while still on a call with Joe.
It's only after Bronte reads Beck's posthumously published book The Dark Face Of Love, that she begins to suspect something amiss.
Beck cites author Ibsen, whom Bronte knows Beck isn't fond of, leading her to suspect that someone else had a hand in penning the novel.
Nadia
In the fourth instalment, Joe had framed Nadia (Amy-Leigh Hickman) for her boyfriend's murder, resulting in her imprisonment, too terrified to speak out for fear he might target her family.
Fortunately, her story doesn't end there as Kate assists in securing her release so they can join forces to bring Joe down once and for all.
Phoebe
In addition to that, another season four character making a reappearance is Lady Phoebe, played by Tilly Cooper, who makes the trip to New York to lend a helping hand to her friend Kate in a moment of crisis, after uncovering the true nature of Joe's character.
Marienne
Marienne, portrayed by Tati Gabrielle, was previously the object of Joe's obsessive desire in season three while he was still married to Love. However, she fled the country with her daughter after discovering his true colours.
Nevertheless, during his state of dissociation in season four, Joe managed to locate Marienne and subjected her to weeks of confinement in a cage.
It was only when Nadia intervened that Marienne, with her assistance, could fake her own death and permanently escape Joe's torment.
Yet, this didn't deter Marienne from returning in season five to join forces with Nadia and Kate in their quest for vengeance against Joe.
Dottie
Meanwhile, Dottie Quinn (Saffron Burrows) Love and Forty's mother from seasons two and three, re-emerges in episode seven, using social media to tarnish Joe's reputation.
In a video, she declares, "He [Joe] killed both my babies. Love and Forty are both dead because of him. I haven't seen my grandson Henry in years.
"He made everyone think I was the crazy one but no, he's the crazy one."
Sherry and Cary
Husband-and-wife pair Sherry (Shalita Grant) and Cary (Travis Van Winkle) who were also Love and Joe's infuriating social media influencer neighbours in season three, get locked up.
In a twist, their post actually comes to Joe's defence as they clarify that it was Love who caged them, not Joe.
He muses internally: "I'll take the support where I can get it."
Annika Atwater
Peach Salinger's pal from the first season, Annika Atwater (played by Kathryn Gallagher), was quick to chime in: "He absolutely killed my best friend Peach. He hated her."
Joe's internal response scoffs: "Peach was self-defense and I don't even remember your name."
Paco
We also see a return of Paco (Luca Padovan), the young lad who idolised Joe while trying to escape his mum's violent partner Ron Baker.
True to form, Joe 'assisted' Paco by offing probation officer Ron Baker, who remains listed as missing.
Paco attempts to defend Joe in his post, with the stalker-turned-killer internally dubbing him an "angel".
But then Paco drops a bombshell: "Joe was my neighbor when I was a kid. My mom dated this guy who was really abusive and Joe literally saved us."
Joe's thoughts explode with frustration: "No, no, don't share the incriminating part. Shut the f*** up Paco."
Ethan
Ethan Russell (Zach Cherry), who worked for Joe in the debut series of You, initially describes him as a "good dude".
Yet, he adds a caveat: "But I make it a practice to believe the victims. I can't prove that the basement of Mooney's was haunted, even though it 100% was which is why I never went down there.
"Like I can't definitively rule out that Joe murdered a f*** ton of people."
Will
Will's involvement was unveiled in episode five, where Joe refers to having a "friend in Manila" - and it's none other than Will Bettelheim (Robin Lord Taylor) from the second season.
First appearing as a hacker peddling new identities on Craigslist, when Joe is keen to begin afresh, he reconnects with the character that captivated audiences in series two.

Stephanie Davis splits with partner days before Father's Day in latest heartbreak
The actress welcomed her second child just five months ago. Coronation Street actress Stephanie Davis split with her partner Joseph McKalroy ahead of Father's Day. The pair welcomed their son, Samuel back in January after being together for three years. And today to mark Father's Day, Steph shared a photo of her own father with a heartfelt caption, thanking him for helping with her two sons Caben and Samuel, adding "there aren't many men like you", and made no mention of Joseph. Fans took to the comments of her heartfelt post and asked: "Where's Joe?" while another said: "I think they have split up". A third agreed, saying: "I think so too as they both had each others name on their bios with a heart, which they don't anymore. It's such a shame if they have as they were a gorgeous little family!" Back in January, when Joe and Stephanie became parents to their son, Samuel, the proud dad penned the caption of an Instagram post, sharing a snap of his baby son, which read: "Welcome to the world my beautiful baby boy Samuel McKalroy. "Named after your uncle the one and only who will always weigh heavy on my heart I wish so much that he could've met you and cherished you as much as I do. "It has been a traumatic experience but you are finally here in our arms. I never thought I could possibly love your mummy anymore than I already do but this is just so special and an unconditional love I cannot explain with words. "I love you more than you will ever know". Stephanie, who shares seven-year-old son Caben with former CBB star Jeremy McConnell, responded: 'Sobbing reading this my heart. I love you more than anything in this world. I couldn't love you more I'm so blessed to have you as a daddy to our boys xx. You carried me though that, it was so tough. I love you more than you will ever know xxxxxxxx." In 2022, Stephanie revealed she had suffered a devastating miscarriage three months into her pregnancy, heartbreakingly sharing she woke up one morning and 'didn't feel pregnant anymore'. Admitting that she and Joe were "heartbroken", she said: "The anxiety, the heartbreak and the sadness we have gone through was horrendous. Me and Joe were so excited and already had visioned and planned a life with our family of four. "I was already looking at what I was doing for my baby shower. You think when you get further on like I was that everything will be ok, so it was a big shock." Before meeting Joe, the actress had a turbulent romance with Irish model, Jeremy, after they met on Celebrity Big Brother. Jeremy was found guilty of assaulting his then ex-girlfriend Stephanie in 2017. McConnell, then 27, attacked Miss Davis at her home in Rainhill, Merseyside while she was holding their baby son, Liverpool Magistrates' Court heard. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! EastEnders fans reveal soap legend to return with major clue
The BBC soap has been sharing teasers over the weekend, ahead of new executive producer Ben Wadey's debut episode on Monday (June 16). It comes as he recently hinted that something 'big' is about to happen in Walford next week. Ben revealed he hopes it will 'get everyone talking' and 'it's only just the beginning'. EastEnders' Top 5 Villains Earlier today (June 15) on X, the @bbceastenders account shared a clip through the eyes of someone walking past some market stalls in Albert Square, which viewers believe is a nod to an iconic scene with a popular character who is rumoured to be returning after two decades. Eagle-eyed viewers have noticed the teaser focused where Zoe Slater's famous 'you ain't my mother!' scene took place in 2001, after she found out Kat Slater was her mum. Zoe, who is played by Michelle Ryan, is set to return to EastEnders as it reportedly feels like the 'perfect' moment for the actress to make a huge comeback. A source previously told The Sun: 'Bosses have repeatedly reached out to Michelle over the years, but the timing has never been quite right. 'People are still talking about her character, so it's a real coup to bring her back. 'She feels like now is the perfect moment — and there was an exciting script on the table.' EastEnders fans convinced Zoe Slater returns to BBC soap tomorrow Reacting to the teaser clip on X, someone commented: 'I didn't see any signs with her name on it this time, but the whole thing takes place where 'You ain't my Mother!' took place. Plus I felt there was an emphasis on the clothes stall where she used to work…' Someone else shared: 'Ah yes. The same place where you ain't my muvva happened.' A third wrote: 'Oh Zoe is SO back because I remember this scene!!!' While this fan said: ''You ain't my muvva' location… Zoe…?!' Others also agreed EastEnders were hinting at Zoe's arrival as one put: 'Deffo Zoe it's stoped and blinked at the slater stall.' 'Zoe used to work on the stalls,' this viewer chimed in. A user also stated: 'Got to be Zoe I have never seen a market stall selling cat (Kat) things.' Recommended reading: Why isn't EastEnders on BBC iPlayer on Monday? It seems Monday's EastEnders episode really will be a "big" one as it won't be uploaded to BBC iPlayer at 6am. Instead, it will be shown on BBC One from 7.30pm and iPlayer at the same time. EastEnders confirmed the schedule change, as a post on X said: "Schedule Alert! #EastEnders, Monday 16th June, 7:30pm on @BBCOne and @BBCiPlayer. Trust us, you won't want to miss it! (There will be no 6am iPlayer drop).'

Strictly's Dianne Buswell has four-word wedding message for Joe Sugg
Strictly Come Dancing pro Dianne Buswell, who has been in a relationship with Joe Sugg since they were partnered together in 2018, had a message for her boyfriend Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell delivered a major wedding hint to partner Joe Sugg. The flame-haired dancer, 36, and her partner Joe, 33 and known for his YouTube fame, hit it off during their stint on the BBC favourite in 2018. The duo shimmied their way to the final while Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton clinched the coveted Glitterball Trophy. Dianne and Joe's romance swiftly developed off the dance floor, and they confirmed they were an item later that same year, eventually moving in together and snapping up their first property in February 2021. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for Joe to get down on one knee. On her Winning Isn't Everything podcast with fellow Strictly champ Chris McCausland, Dianne gave a lighthearted message to her other half. During a conversation about fingers on the podcast, Dianne gestured to her ring finger asking: "What's that one, your best friend finger?" which led Chris to quip: "It's the one Joe's done nothing with." To which Dianne replied: "Exactly, we need to remind Joe what that finger holds. That finger is feeling very lonely, it needs something to weigh it down with." Following the purchase of their swanky £3.5million London pad in 2021, Dianne said they were "playing their marriage by ear". Putting her career at the forefront, she said to the Mirror: "Joe and I don't really talk about that kind of thing. We're both so relaxed so we just play it by ear. We really enjoy each other's company so much and whatever happens, happens." Dianne has opened up about the duo's aspirations to eventually build a family. Last year, the Aussie-born Strictly star spoke about the couple's desire to have children "when it feels right". She candidly shared that, just like their wedding plans, they're not in any hurry to progress in their romantic tale. Joe Sugg, whose elder sister Zoe is a YouTuber, was 27 when he met Dianne. He has openly declared that Dianne is his first "proper girlfriend". In a heartfelt chat with The Sunday Times back in 2021, Joe revealed: "Dianne is my first girlfriend. Other than, like, my pen pal from when I was 10." He has also admitted to being somewhat cautious at first about posting photos with his significant other online. Explaining the reason, he said: "My audience was very protective over me. But they instantly accepted Dianne, because we were partnered on Strictly, so after the show finished and we got together, they already felt like they knew her well." Echoing the sentiment on Instagram, Joe and Dianne's fellow Strictly dancer Johannes Radebe left a cheeky comment saying: "If you don't marry him Di, I will.."
