Terrified Gemma Collins calls cops & beefs up security after man sends ‘nasty and menacing' letter to her home

SHOCKED TV star Gemma Collins rang cops in terror after getting an 'abusive and menacing' letter at her home. The former Towie star, 44, is said to be petrified by the sender's hate note. 4 Fearing a kidnap plot like the one targeting TV presenter Holly Willoughby, Gemma phoned officers who then visited her home in the Essex countryside. The worried star, who has been battling pneumonia, has since beefed up security with 24-hour guard dog patrols. Family and friends have kept her company. A source told The Sun on Sunday: 'Gemma was left shaken and very scared for her safety after she received a threatening and abusive letter from a man expressing his extreme dislike for her and using menacing language. 'It was really nasty and made reference to tracking her down, so she called the police straight away. 'It was alarming that this man knew her home address, but she already upped security and has round-the-clock guard dogs and has cameras onsite. 'She is always incredibly friendly with all her fans and happy to stop for pictures and a chat so to have someone send such an unpleasant letter has really shocked her. 'She was very grateful to the police, who are taking it very seriously and have given her practical advice on how to handle herself. It is an ongoing investigation. 'She thought about what had happened to Holly Willoughby and her kidnap threat ordeal so didn't want to take any chances. 'Police are confident they are going to track down the culprit.' Gemma, who lives with businessman fiancé Rami Hawash, told a podcast in May how she has had multiple stalkers over the years. They had threatened to kill her and sent 'terrifying' letters to her boutique in Brentwood. Watch hilarious moment Gemma Collins launches bid to become a DAME as she sets sights on royal nod She told how it 'played havoc on her mind' and was the reason she stepped away from front of house work. Gemma said: 'No one would believe the bl**dy crap I've had to deal with. I've had a woman stalker who wrote me a letter in white gloves and wanted to kill me. You know, people would wish me dead. I'd get all sorts at the shop. Weird. 'People are weird. And that's why in a way I came away from my shop in the end.' In 2019 The Sun revealed she had called in police over fears she was being hounded by a stalker. Gemma claimed she had seen a man who previously verbally abused her outside her home over six days. The scares have even made her consider a move away from Essex. 4 Gemma, a contestant in 2019's Dancing On Ice, has previously spoken of her love of the countryside, saying: 'The only way is the Cotswolds for me.' Earlier this month she revealed her battle with pneumonia, showing pictures of herself with a drip in her arm. She said: 'It's shocking, I've had it for over three weeks and had steroids given to me by my doctor. 'It was DJ Fat Tony's wedding and I had to take them to get through that. But I'm off them now and the sickness is kicking back in. 'It's so frustrating because I normally have so much energy and I'm always loving life. But now I get really breathless really quickly and I feel like I'm dying.' Last week it emerged she is in talks to join I'm A Celebrity: All Stars in South Africa — despite quitting the Australian jungle after just three days of the main series in 2014. Essex Police said they were aware of Gemma's report. 4

Starmer has been forced into this. Don't let this inquiry become a new cover-up

In January, Sir Keir Starmer accused opposition MPs expressing concern over grooming gangs of 'amplifying what the far-Right is saying' and 'jumping on a bandwagon'. Having fought tooth and nail against any public inquiry into the scandal for months, he now appears to have conceded they were right all along, announcing that he has accepted Baroness Louise Casey's recommendation of a full statutory inquiry. So that's that. Judged by his own words, the Prime Minister is jumping on a far-Right bandwagon. It demonstrates how absurd his reflexive statement was, but it also illustrates exactly how this scandal was permitted to go on for so long: an instinctive urge to protect the narrative of a cohesive multicultural nation built through immigration, with a few far-Right malcontents, rather than a deeply divided society where neutral enforcement of the law could lead to chaos on the streets. The reason the grooming gangs were not dealt with earlier is simple: a generation of politicians and state officials acted as if it was in essence better for society if children were raped by these gangs and officials covered it up, than if the state was to act to stop the violence and risk 'tensions' between communities. Read that again. And now read what they allowed to happen. In Telford, Lucy Lowe died at 16 alongside her mother and sister when her abuser set fire to her home. She was pregnant when she was killed, and her death was used to threaten other children. In Rotherham, the father of a 15-year-old rape victim was told by police officers the assault might mean she would 'learn her lesson'. The ordeal had been so brutal she required surgery. Children were 'doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight'; parents who tracked down their daughters and tried to rescue them were arrested by the police. In Oxford, a child was raped by four men simultaneously; 'a red ball was placed in her mouth to keep her quiet'. And this was allowed to go on because officials were terrified of being called racist, terrified of stoking community tensions. In Manchester, police officers aware 'the offending target group were predominantly Asian males' were 'told to try and get other ethnicities'. In Telford, when the council became aware that taxi drivers were offering children rides for sex, it leapt into action and suspended licensing enforcement. In Rotherham, a police officer stated that the town would 'erupt' if the routine abuse of white children by Pakistani heritage men became public knowledge. And remember: these are the stories that have come to light despite the state's reticence to investigate fully. As Conservative MP for Keighley Robbie Moore stated in the Commons in January, the scale of offending in Bradford, for instance, has still to be fully investigated; what is eventually uncovered may well 'dwarf' that uncovered in Rotherham. Now it is vital to make sure that this does not become another cover-up. We need answers rapidly; we need names; we need the full publication of evidence, witnesses compelled to give testimony from police officers and council workers to ministers. And we need to be honest about the sort of society we are today, and what we'd like to be. If the cover-up of mass rape of children is the price of preserving the status quo, it isn't worth paying.

The Left's hatred of Israel has reached a truly terrifying level

There was a protest in London last night in defence of homophobes and misogynists. A swarm of activists hit the streets to stand up for men who hang homosexuals by the neck and who shoot women dead for demanding a little more freedom. Yes, in our supposedly hip, open capital, people banged the drum for tyrants who hate gays and treat women like trash. It was outside the Israeli Embassy (or the 'Zionist Embassy', as the protesters called it). The agitators assembled under a truly unnerving banner: 'Hands off Iran.' It was an 'emergency protest' called by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) in response to Israel's strikes on Iran. The PYM, echoing many on the increasingly crazed and Israelophobic Left, describes Israel's strikes as 'Zionist aggression'. Israel's aim, they say, is to crush Iran 'under the boot of imperialism'. This is flat-out false. Israel has no intention of imperiously conquering Iran. It has made clear that its target is not the nation of Iran, far less the Iranian people. It's the tyrannical rulers of the current Islamic republic, that 'evil and oppressive regime ', in Benjamin Netanyahu's words. It is these murderous mullahs who really have their 'boot' on the benighted people of that once great nation. Israel's strikes were not aimed at ordinary Iranians. This was a decapitation mission designed to take out the military top dogs of the theocratic tyranny. It will go down as one of the most surgical assaults in the whole history of warfare. One by one, the regime's military heavies and uranium-weaponising scientists were bumped off. Israel's laser-focused projectiles reached right into their bedrooms, ending their lives while leaving the apartment blocks in which they lived fully intact. Let's speak frankly: when you say 'Hands off Iran' in the aftermath of a strike against Iran's brutish overlords, what you're really saying is: 'Hands off the regime.' You are saying don't harm these Islamist bigots. Leave their cruel caliphate intact. That would have been a more honest slogan for Friday's noisy assembly: 'Hands off the theocracy!' How galling that as many Iranians pray for the swift demise of the clerical tyranny they suffer under, people gather in liberal London basically to say: 'Leave it alone.' Who were these activists blubbing over, exactly? Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards, the most senior official to be killed? Salami's army of 'guards' were the most ruthless enforcers of the regime's theocratic diktats. They massacred 500 mostly young men and women in 2022 for the crime of opposing the mandatory hijab law. You can cry for Salami if you like – I'll save my tears for the Iranians he slaughtered simply for daring to dream of freedom. Maybe they're upset by reports that the commander of the Quds Force, Esmail Qaani, was also killed. This is the force that oversees Iran's vicious proxies, like Hezbollah and Hamas. Personally speaking, my thoughts are with the innocent Israelis, Syrians and Lebanese murdered by those wicked armies, not the man who sponsored and greenlit their barbarism. The Left is not just peddling misinformation about the Israel-Iran clash – it is entirely inverting reality. The truth is it was Iran that launched a 'war of aggression' against Israel, via its fascistic proxies of Hamas and Hezbollah. For the Jewish State to take out Qaani, Iran's go-between with those armies of anti-Semites that raped and murdered so many Israelis – that is the most just act of war I can remember. We can now see just how serious and psychotic the Left's death wish has become. The Islamo-Left, that unholy alliance of so-called progressives and Islamic theocrats, is truly going off the rails. We've had Queers for Palestine, that gaggle of blue-haired genderfluids who are hilariously unaware that they'd be tossed off the nearest tall building if they ever set foot in Gaza. And now we have these bozos for theocracy, wailing 'Hands off!' because ruthless men who execute homosexuals, repress women and kill Jews have been served with the justice they so richly deserve. Iran, right now, is ruled by a regime that is violently hostile to sexual equality, sexual freedom, secularism and trade unionism. The Left is signing its own death warrant when it gets into bed with these demented religious creeps.
