With only hours remaining before the grand opening, Berlin's Messe Berlin is already buzzing with excitement as it prepares to host the Berlin International Tourism Fair (ITB).
The venue's main facades have been transformed into vibrant billboards, proudly displaying the slogan 'Egypt … An unmatched tourism diversity' as part of a sweeping promotional campaign for Egypt's top tourist destinations.
Large-scale images showcasing Egypt's diverse attractions—from the soon-to-be fully unveiled Grand Egyptian Museum (officially opening on July 3) to its sunlit beaches with crystal-clear waters and unique archaeological sites—dominate the exterior of the exhibition hall. These striking visuals not only highlight Egypt's rich cultural and natural heritage but also serve as a precursor to the nation's dynamic participation in one of the world's premier tourism events.
The advertising campaign, launched by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, coincides with the active involvement of Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities at ITB. Prominent locations around the fair's headquarters have been adorned with banners and images, including the iconic Egyptian flag, which flutters high among the flags of nations worldwide lining the streets leading to the venue.
In a major highlight of the event, Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathi, is set to inaugurate the Egyptian pavilion today. Spanning 1,500 square meters, the pavilion is designed to resemble a grand Pharaonic temple and will house 118 exhibitors—including 47 tourism companies, 67 hotels, and 3 airlines.
Moreover, it features dedicated areas for the Hotel Enterprises Chamber and associations representing travel agencies and tourism companies, alongside the participation of the Cultural Tourism Preservation Association.
Inside the pavilion, visitors will be treated to an immersive experience with large display screens showing promotional films that capture the essence of Egypt's unparalleled tourism offerings. A special section of the pavilion is dedicated to traditional Egyptian cuisine, where guests can savor heritage dishes and beverages, complemented by live folkloric performances that celebrate the nation's cultural legacy.
As one of the world's leading tourism exhibitions, ITB Berlin provides an international platform for industry professionals and decision-makers. Egypt's active participation underscores its commitment to positioning itself as a must-visit destination offering a rich tapestry of historical, cultural, and modern experiences.
The fair, running through March 6, promises to be a showcase of innovation and tradition—a true celebration of Egypt's unique tourism diversity on the global stage.
