A Porsche 911 with an advertised 6.5 horsepower sounds like a typo. Unless it's dropped into a realistically designed go-kart. And you can get your hands on this orange-coated beauty via Bring a Trailer.
The Targa-style 911 was built by Little Roadsters, a Florida-based outfit that touts itself as having perfected the 2/3-scale replicas of classic Porsche roadsters. Not gonna lie, this Targa build fits the boast. It's adorable! The color also kind of matches The Drive 's logo; too bad we don't have a central office to hang this thing on the wall of.
Featuring fiberglass bodywork over a tubular steel frame, the petite Porsche is also equipped with a plastic windscreen and rear window, a ducktail spoiler, a black Targa-badged roll bar, 'Carrera' graphics, and a Porsche hood emblem to complete the mini replica look.
Other bits include a driver-side mirror, door handles, rear bumperettes, and faux features such as a fuel door, decklid grille, and exhaust. And that's just the exterior. Bring a Trailer
On the inside, the scale 911 is decked in black vinyl, features black molded door panels, and is outfitted with a rubber floor mat. A dashboard styled with simulated gauges and a three-spoke steering wheel provide the appropriate Porsche POV.
As far as performance, the engine is a 200cc Buffalo single-cylinder that is positioned in the rear. The single-speed transmission offers just forward and reverse. The floor-mounted shifter and handbrake are positioned between the sheets. Operational features found on the dash are the electric starter, engine cut-off button, and controls for the horn, lights, and turn signals.
If specs are the same for all of Little Roadsters' builds, the replica 911 Carrera weighs about 550 pounds and has a top speed of 30 mph. The current high bid (out of six) is $5,000 with the auction slated to end during the afternoon of Friday, May 30. There is no reserve.

The Polo turns 50 this year. Hardly breaking news. Well, Volkswagen is giving the baby Golf a special edition to mark half a century since the original model, penned by Bertone's Marcello Gandini, came out. It goes on sale today in Germany, but the price tag reminded me just how expensive cars have gotten in Europe in recent years. The Polo Edition 50 starts at €28,200, equivalent to approximately $32,500 at current exchange rates. Sure, it's a generously equipped version with heated front seats and whatnot. However, it's still not a fully loaded configuration. VW charges extra for niceties such as two-zone automatic climate control, keyless functionality, and the panoramic sunroof. More importantly, it's far from being a GTI in terms of power. Photo by: Volkswagen In its most basic form, the special edition makes do with a turbocharged 1.0-liter engine hooked up to a five-speed manual transmission. The three-pot produces just 94 horsepower, but you can upgrade to more potent versions of the 1.0 TSI with up to 114 hp. The slightly more powerful versions can be ordered with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Opting for the DSG increases pricing further. The Edition 50 may cost about as much as a Golf GTI in the United States, but it's not even the most expensive Polo available in Germany. The GTI kicks off at €35,450 (nearly $41,000). Step up to its bigger brother, and VW will charge you €45,710 (almost $53,000) for a Golf GTI . Pricing for the Golf R begins at €55,000 ($63,400), and there's also an R Black Edition for a staggering €59,645 ($69,000). We're not done yet. In the Polo and Golf world, the most expensive model was a German market-only Golf R 333, priced at a whopping €76,410 ($88,000). It was even more expensive than an Audi RS3, but nonetheless, VW sold all 333 cars in just eight minutes. Imagine how successful a five-cylinder Golf R would be with the 2.5 TFSI engine. Cars sold in Europe are generally more expensive compared to the US. The discrepancy largely stems from the value-added tax. VAT is 19% in Germany, but it can be as high as 27% in Hungary. The EU's average standard VAT rate is 21.8%. Aside from VAT, extra local taxes based on emissions result in ridiculous prices for some performance cars. That's why a Honda Civic Type R is over $100,000 in the Netherlands, while a Toyota GR Yaris is also a six-figure car in France . Europeans may have a greater variety of options than Americans when it comes to choosing their next car, but they're paying dearly. 3-vehicle crash on Hwy. 101 blocks traffic during rush hour in SLO
A three-vehicle crash blocked traffic on Highway 101 through San Luis Obispo on Wednesday, slowing the evening commute, the California Highway Patrol said. A gray Toyota Sienna, a black SUV and a blue pickup truck crashed at about 4:52 p.m. on northbound Highway 101 near the Madonna Road off-ramp, the CHP traffic log said. Emergency responders shut down the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of northbound Highway 101 to respond to the crash. Traffic passed through the area on the off-ramp, the CHP said. The CHP did not know whether the crash resulted in injuries as of 5:15 p.m. A Caltrans highway camera showed traffic slowed to a crawl through the area.

Fire erupts in Mira Mesa garage
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A fire broke out in a garage Wednesday in Mira Mesa. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 11700 block of Westview Parkway, according to the San Diego Police Department. When authorities got to the scene, they found a vehicle fully engulfed in the garage. Thieves stealing gas from cars in North Park The occupant of the home evacuated prior to the arrival of first responders.
