Tonight's draw saw Manchester United get an away trip to League Two side Grimsby Town.
And there were two all-Prem ties as Bournemouth host Brentford and West Ham travel to Wolves.
But Hammers fans have been left perplexed about their away day at Molineux.
The draw saw the nation split into two halves, with a 24-team northern and a 22-team southern section.

Both Wolves and West Ham were put in the southern side of the competition.
And that is despite Birmingham City, who face Sheffield United tonight, being located further south than Wolverhampton.
A drive from St Andrews' to Molineux will take you 23 miles north.
The issue baffled supporters, who said: "Which genius put Birmingham in the northern section of the Carabao Cup draw and Wolverhampton in the south?"

Others complained about Man Utd's "easy" draw, with one saying: "Looks so rigged. Only one or two games which have teams more than one league apart."
A second wrote: "It's rigged."
More conspiracy theorists added: "Unlike United to get another easy draw in an early round. Shock horror bet that weren't fixed."
Second round ties will be played the week commencing August 25.

Newcastle agree fee with Aston Villa for winger Jacob Ramsey

The 24-year-old is due to travel to the north east for a medical after a deal in the region of £40million was agreed, the PA news agency understands. The prospective sale of Ramsey, who has made 167 appearances at Villa Park, will represent pure profit for Villa, who are walking a UEFA financial fair play and PSR tightrope and need to sell. If the medical goes without problem and personal terms are agreed in the next 24 hours, Ramsey could be a Newcastle player by the time they visit Villa Park for Saturday lunchtime's Premier League opener. Villa boss Unai Emery is not expected to see much, if any, of the financial proceeds as the club's spending is under the close eye of UEFA after they were fined £9.5m for breaching regulations. They are keen on re-signing Paris St Germain midfielder Marco Asensio, who spent the second half of last season on loan. Ramsey's arrival at St James' Park will boost spirits after a difficult transfer window for Eddie Howe's side. They have signed Anthony Elanga and Malick Thiaw, with Aaron Ramsdale arriving on loan, but missed out on Benjamin Sesko, who chose to join Manchester United instead. The future of Alexander Isak also remains unclear following the Sweden international's desire to join Liverpool.

Florian Wirtz told biggest concern over £116m Liverpool transfer "not a problem anymore"

Liverpool broke their club transfer record to splash £116million on new attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen and former Red Joe Cole insists the German playmaker will prove his talent Joe Cole does not believe Florian Wirtz will struggle to settle in the Premier League as he reckons English football is played like it is on the continent these days. ‌ The former Chelsea and Liverpool star is adamant the days of football on these shores being more physical for foreign players are long gone. Wirtz, 22, will make his Premier League debut on Friday night when the Reds host Bournemouth at Anfield with plenty of eyes on the £116m signing from Bayer Leverkusen. ‌ Cole predicts the Liverpool new boy will flourish. He said: 'I think the talk of physicality is just something that has been said, because we've always said that. When you actually step back and look at it, that's not a problem anymore. It used to be a problem. ‌ 'Even with Big Didier [Drogba] when he come over and he said the first tackle, someone's gone through him, back of his head and he's gone, 'welcome to the Premier League'. That was then, that ain't now. 'It's easier, better for the recruitment, because you're more happy to spend the money on Wirtz, because you haven't got that anomaly. It won't be a physicality problem. The Premier League, it is quicker because the technique of passing is quicker. And the players' quality is quicker, it's not because referees let things go. 'The crash into tackles and there's a demand to get the ball forward and there is a style of football, that's all gone now. Premier League is the best league in the world, we've got the best players playing the crispest, best quality football and we've had referees allow that to happen, it's made the spectacle.' Cole thinks everyone will not only be dazzled by Wirtz's skills on the ball and attacking threat but also his work when the Reds are not in possession. He added: 'Everyone's going to be looking out for these goals and assists and where he affects the game in moments. 'But look at how he works off the ball. I think he was in the top few in Europe for turnovers. So when you couple that with his ability on the ball, you've got a hell of a player. And Liverpool are not stupid. They don't spend money unless they know. So, yeah, I'm excited about watching Wirtz.'
