Set sail on an exclusive 5-night cruise from Singapore to Bali via Dream Cruises this November

Time Out3 days ago
If ending a hectic year with slow travel sounds right up your alley, then keep an eye on this upcoming boat voyage from Singapore to Bali. Dream Cruises has just announced a new five-night cruise on board the Genting Dream ship, but unlike most other cruises, this one's a single-departure journey – which makes it a highly exclusive opportunity that you don't want to miss.
There are currently no other existing Dream Cruises routes between Singapore and Bali, or anywhere else in Indonesia for that matter.
Coming just before the year-end school holidays, this cruise with two ports of call first heads to Denpasar in south Bali, where you can explore markets, temples, the Bali Museum and other cultural highlights.
The second stop is the less touristy Celukan Bawang in northern Bali – so you'll essentially be hitting up two opposite ends of the island paradise within a single visit. This unspoilt coastal area boasts beaches with coral reefs, traditional villages and lush forestry.
As for the rest of your time on the cruise liner? Indulge in unlimited food, live entertainment, spa treatments, and recreation activities like pool parties, rock climbing, and even an obstacle course with a zipline.
This Singapore-Bali cruise embarks on November 30, 2025 only, and bookings open on August 21 on the Star Dream Cruises website

The surprise item Delta Goodrem and Matthew Copley found next to their bed at a $2,500-a-night hotel during their honeymoon in Singapore

Delta Goodrem discovered a surprise item in her hotel room during her luxe honeymoon with Matthew Copley this week. The Australian singer, who tied the knot with Matt during a lavish wedding in Malta back in June, took to Instagram on Wednesday to rave about the couple's trip to Singapore, where they stayed at the grand, five-star resort Raffles Sentosa. However, it was not the $2,500-a-night bill that surprised the iconic star, but rather what she found in her hotel room as she arrived at the luxurious vacation spot. Delta revealed the hotel had sweetly placed a framed photo of her and Matt from their wedding day beside her bed. 'So many times we fly through Singapore on our travels and I've always wanted to stop and explore the gorgeous city more,' she captioned the post. 'Finally on our way home was the perfect last stop on our honeymoon - we got to stay at the incredible @raffles_sentosa!' She added: 'Thank you for hosting us for a few magical nights in paradise! Not to mention the personal touch of a photo in a frame from our wedding.' Delta shared numerous photos from their honeymoon, including one of her glammed up in a green maxi dress and videos of some of the Singapore sights, including the glimmering Gardens by the Bay. Delta pulled out all the stops when she walked down the aisle with Matthew in Malta two months ago. After saying 'I do' at the historic St. Paul's Cathedral in Mdina, the newlyweds moved the festivities to the gorgeous Palazzo Parisio in nearby Naxxar. Previously known as Scicluna Palace, and Palazzo Scicluna, the stunning venue has been described as a 'miniature Versailles' – the iconic former French royal residence that was commissioned by King Louis XIV. Delta stunned in an off-the-shoulder wedding gown with a racy sweetheart neckline, designed by South Australian fashion designer Paul Vasileff. The French tulle gown featured gorgeous lattice detailing and a two-and-a-half metre train. She changed into two further dresses during the party so she would be comfortable enough to dance the night away while Conrad Sewell and Vince Pizzinga performed for the A-list guests. The singer told Vogue that she wanted to, 'feel like myself on the day. That was really important to me. The look needed to feel grounded amongst the fairytale.' Her groom, meanwhile, was dressed in 'head-to-toe' Tom Ford, Delta told Vogue – adding that she did not see Matt the night before their vows to add to the magic. 'Seeing Matt for the first time at the aisle was so memorable, as we had kept the tradition of not seeing each other the night before,' she told the publication. 'Every moment was a fairytale come true. The whole day and the week spent with everyone were beyond our wildest dreams.'

Revealed: The surprisingly illegal things tourists can get in trouble for - from chewing gum to dancing

There's plenty of things to consider when visiting somewhere new - from the language, different cuisine, to cultural norms. Rules and laws vary across countries, too, and some may seem surprising to foreigners. Dubai has strict regulations around government buildings, while in France, drivers should be aware of a certain type of footwear when driving. In Venice, pigeons are a no-go for feeding, and in Singapore, lovers of chewing gum might struggle. Read on below to find out all the surprisingly illegal things around the world. Dubai In the United Arab Emirates, people are prohibited taking photographs of government buildings. The UK Foreign Office warns: 'It is illegal to take photos of some government buildings and military installations. 'Hobbies like bird watching and plane spotting may be misunderstood, particularly near military sites, government buildings and airports.' Greece A popular destination for its sandy beaches, white buildings and delicious cuisine. But tourists visiting Greece should be mindful of what shoes they wear when sightseeing historic structures. High heels have been banned from landmarks in Athens, including the Acropolis and the Epidaurus Theatre, since 2009. Anyone not following the rule could be hit with a €900 fine, according to the The Express. Italy While in Venice, visitors may be enamoured by the many characterful pigeons, but they are prohibited from feeding them. It's been illegal to do so since 2008, when the sale and distribution of grain to feed pigeons was banned. At the time, according to Reuter s, the pesky birds were pecking at marble statues in the cities looking for crumbs. France Any holidaymakers driving through France should be careful of their footwear choice. Drivers are prohibited from wearing 'unsuitable footwear' according to Travel And Tour World. Officers often check those in popular holiday hotspots for the mistake. Sweden Previously in Sweden, venues including nightclubs and bars needed a permit for customers to be allowed to legally dance. The Swedish government said in 2023 it intended to scrap the 67-year-old law that required owners of night clubs and bars to obtain a license for dancing. Instead, it was proposed that they would have to register with the police, according to AP. Sri Lanka Many tourists enjoy taking photographs during their holidays as keepsakes. However, it is prohibited to take pictures with Buddha statues in Sri Lanka. The UK Foreign Office notes: 'Do not pose for photographs standing in front of a statue of Buddha.' Singapore Though perfectly acceptable to consume in the UK, chewing gum is restricted in Singapore. According to the Economic Times, it is illegal to import, sell or carry gum in the country. Those doing so need a medical prescription, and only dental gum is allowed. The law was made in an attempt to help keep the country clean, and stop damage to pavements. Egypt While in Egypt, it is prohibited to use drones without official permission. The Foreign Office warns against using the tech and says, 'It is illegal to use radio-controlled helicopters or drones to take photos near sensitive sites. 'Do not import, use or produce drones in Egypt unless the Egyptian Ministry of Defence gives you permission beforehand. 'Anyone who uses or imports drones without permission could get a prison sentence of up to 7 years or a fine of 5,000 to 50,000 Egyptian pounds.' Maldives Holidaymakers should be mindful when relaxing in public beaches and local areas of what swimwear they're wearing. The Foreign Office advises: 'You should be sensitive to local dress standards when outside holiday resorts, including on beaches used by locals.' They add that men and women should 'have arms and upper legs covered when bathing'. 'Nudism and topless sunbathing are not allowed anywhere, including on resort islands.' While some beaches on private resorts are more relaxed with the rules and allow bikinis and other swimwear, according to Explore.

Molly-Mae Hague's sister Zoe totes £7K Chanel handbag as she heads to the gym weeks after being mocked for leaving Bali after 48 hours because it didn't meet her expectations

Molly-Mae Hague 's sister Zoe toted a £7,000 Chanel handbag as she headed to the gym in Cheshire on Monday, weeks after causing a storm over her luxury Bali getaway. The fitness influencer, 28, flashed her trim midriff in a skimpy grey crop top which she teamed with a pair of high-waisted black cycling shorts. Slipping her feet into comfy trainer and accessorised with gold jewellery with the black leather quilted designer bag under her arm. Zoe was recently mocked by fans for leaving their luxurious Bali trip after just 48 hours because it didn't live up to her expectations. She had planned the trip to Indonesia with her husband Danny to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. And despite staying in a huge sea view room at the Radisson Blu, a five-star hotel, they decided to leave early and jet to Dubai instead. Zoe explained that Bali looks better on social media than in real life, as influencers make it look luxurious, despite it being a developing country. In a new her YouTube video, Zoe told the camera: 'Since landing in Bali, something for us wasn't quite right. 'We came to Bali with high expectations as we'd seen on social media - everyone having such a lovely time, such gorgeous places to go for food and lovely beaches, lovely gyms, lovely coffee shops. 'If you took a picture of the coffee shop and zoomed out, you would see what the reality was. I don't think the reality of Bali is shown much, or at all. 'I do think it is down to a lot of influencers and people with large followings online, posting the more luxury side of things.' She added: 'Before I joined the army, I spent five months travelling Southeast Asia - I did Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao. I did China, Hong Kong. 'I did a lot and I spent a lot of time in these countries, but there is something very different about Bali. 'We got told that Uluwatu, where we are now, is one of the best places to go, so that's why we came here. So if this is one of the better places, then I'm not sure what the other places are like.' She continued: 'I do think if we'd travelled more north and gone to Ubud and maybe some of the more jungle-y areas, we may have had a different experience. 'Again, a lot of people are saying that's where they went and they felt exactly the same. 'I can really see the appeal, I can. I think if you're backpacking and want to travel about, it's great. I think for a holiday, staying in one place, not so great.' 'But then also, I say it's great for people that are backpacking but a lot of people messaged me saying they backpacked all these countries and this has been their least favourite out of all of them. 'I think there are a lot of other places to go where I think you would have a better experience and a better time.' Fans accused Zoe of being 'out of touch with reality', pointing out Bali is a developing country where many locals live in poverty. Others mocked her for apparently not realising that outside of high-end resorts, the island wouldn't match its glossy online image. Despite the backlash, Zoe stood by her comments, insisting that influencers post a 'filtered' version of Bali that doesn't reflect the reality. She told her followers that she had expected 'lovely places to eat, beaches, gyms and coffee shops' but had been left disappointed. The criticism drew comparisons with her Love Island sister Molly-Mae, who has also been accused in the past of living in a bubble far removed from everyday struggles. Meanwhile her sibling appeared to finally has something to smile about and claimed he she had had her 'favourite week ever' on her latest family holiday at a luxurious £2K-per-night hotel in Turkey. The former Love Island star, 26, was all smiles in her latest Instagram post on Thursday as she spent quality time with Tommy Fury and daughter Bambi at the luxury 5-star Regnum The Crown hotel. Shortly before her seventh trip of the year, fans blasted Molly after she claimed she 'hasn't done one fun thing' all summer despite enjoying first class trips to Dubai, Paris and Saint Tropez. Now, the hard to please influencer looked finally happy as she wrote, 'One of the my favourite weeks ever', as she played with Bambi, two, in the sunshine. It comes after Molly-Mae was accused of 'always moaning' in recent weeks after complaining she'd 'not done one fun thing all summer' despite jetting off to multiple destinations. Prior to her current trip, she travelled business class to one of the most luxurious hotels in the UAE, the five-star Jumeirah Al Naseem, where rooms cost £14K a night. To date, the millionaire Love Island star has spent the warmer months enjoying first class trips to Dubai, Paris, Saint Tropez and Wimbledon 's Centre Court, where she was greeted like Hollywood royalty after being invited by tournament sponsor Evian. If that wasn't enough time away from home, that month Molly-Mae also visited private members' club Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds. Molly-Mae treated herself to a couple of nights in one of the cabins, where members can enjoy spa facilities, country bike rides and tennis. In May, she
