Set sail on an exclusive 5-night cruise from Singapore to Bali via Dream Cruises this November

If ending a hectic year with slow travel sounds right up your alley, then keep an eye on this upcoming boat voyage from Singapore to Bali. Dream Cruises has just announced a new five-night cruise on board the Genting Dream ship, but unlike most other cruises, this one's a single-departure journey – which makes it a highly exclusive opportunity that you don't want to miss. There are currently no other existing Dream Cruises routes between Singapore and Bali, or anywhere else in Indonesia for that matter. Coming just before the year-end school holidays, this cruise with two ports of call first heads to Denpasar in south Bali, where you can explore markets, temples, the Bali Museum and other cultural highlights. The second stop is the less touristy Celukan Bawang in northern Bali – so you'll essentially be hitting up two opposite ends of the island paradise within a single visit. This unspoilt coastal area boasts beaches with coral reefs, traditional villages and lush forestry. As for the rest of your time on the cruise liner? Indulge in unlimited food, live entertainment, spa treatments, and recreation activities like pool parties, rock climbing, and even an obstacle course with a zipline. This Singapore-Bali cruise embarks on November 30, 2025 only, and bookings open on August 21 on the Star Dream Cruises website

Safe Sailing: Dream Cruises & Thai Authorities Hold Safety Drills On Genting Dream

Dream Cruises, part of the StarDream Cruises brand, successfully conducted a comprehensive safety drill aboard the Genting Dream cruise ship on 9th July 2025, in close coordination with Thai maritime and emergency response authorities. The exercise reinforced the cruise line's unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety for its guests, crew and partners. As the Genting Dream approached Phuket, a simulated medical evacuation was carried out by a Royal Thai Navy helicopter, showcasing advanced coordination between air and sea responders. After docking at the Deep Sea Port, a series of real-time emergency response scenarios were simulated. The operation involved seamless collaboration between the ship's onboard safety teams and key Thai agencies, including the Marine Department, Port Authority, Royal Thai Navy and local emergency services. This joint drill highlighted a wide range of critical emergency preparedness procedures, including coordinated passenger evacuation protocols, onboard incident management and rapid medical response capabilities. It also provided an opportunity for cross-training between cruise ship personnel and Thai officials, ensuring seamless cooperation in the event of a real-life incident. These drills are part of the cruise lines' ongoing commitment to enhancing operational readiness and ensuring full alignment with international safety protocols and local regulations. 'Safety is the foundation of everything we do,' said Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises. 'The safety of our passengers, crew and the communities we visit is always our top priority. 'Drills like this ensure our teams are ready, coordinated and aligned with international and local safety standards. We deeply appreciate the professionalism and support of our Thai partners during this important drill.' Representatives from Thai maritime and emergency response agencies echoed the significance of the initiative, underscoring the importance of public-private cooperation in maritime safety preparedness. StarDream Cruises conducts regular safety drills for its brands – StarCruises and Dream Cruises in all its operating regions and remains committed to working closely with local authorities to ensure passenger security and confidence.

Star Voyager's Expanded Hong Kong Schedule Opens Doors to Asia's Coastal Gems

StarCruises has announced that Star Voyager will extend its homeport season in Hong Kong through to November 14, 2025, following strong demand from regional and international travellers. The extended deployment adds 24 new voyages to the original 21 already scheduled, bringing the total to 45 sailings. Departing weekly from the centrally located Hong Kong Ocean Terminal, the cruises will connect guests to popular destinations across East and Southeast Asia, offering flexible options ranging from two to five nights. To celebrate the extended season, StarCruises is offering exclusive savings. Guests booking the new itineraries departing between August 31 and November 14 can enjoy a 10% discount. Additionally, those who book between June 23 and July 25 for selected July and August departures will receive HKD 100 onboard credit per cabin, per night. This limited-time offer is a great incentive for travellers eager to set sail. In response to growing interest in autumn travel, StarCruises has bolstered its most popular roundtrip routes from Hong Kong. These include 11 additional 2-night weekend 'Sea-cation' cruises, new weekday departures, and increased sailings to Kaohsiung, Penghu, Naha, and Miyakojima. Notably, a new 5-night itinerary on September 14 will swap Ishigaki for Naha while maintaining stops in Keelung and Penghu. Adding to the appeal, Star Voyager will debut new 5-night cruises to exotic destinations like Vietnam, the Philippines, and Sanya, often called 'the Hawaii of China.' These include voyages to Nha Trang and Da Nang in Vietnam, Ha Long Bay and Da Nang, as well as Boracay and Coron in the Philippines. These itineraries promise a blend of vibrant culture, natural beauty, and unforgettable experiences. Each destination has been thoughtfully selected to showcase the richness of Asia's landscapes and heritage. In Vietnam, guests can unwind on Nha Trang's white-sand beaches or explore Da Nang's Marble Mountains. Ha Long Bay offers an iconic sailing experience through limestone islands and emerald waters, while Sanya delivers tropical relaxation with a distinctly Chinese flair. Meanwhile, Boracay's powdery shores and Coron's crystal-clear lakes make the Philippines a standout addition for adventure-seekers and beach lovers alike. Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises, expressed delight at the strong initial response, saying the extended sailings and diverse itineraries reflect the true spirit of Asian cruising. He highlighted that the additional departures will provide more opportunities for both local and international travellers, appealing to a broad range of cruising enthusiasts. For those interested in booking, Star Voyager's extended Hong Kong sailings from August 31 to November 14 will be available online from July 7.
