Jaisalmer: A man was killed on Thursday evening in the Gudamalani police station area of Barmer district when a young man ran him over with a Bolero camper on the Berigaon highway following a financial dispute.

The incident occurred near a hotel over a transaction of one lakh rupees, resulting in the immediate death of a hotel employee and the injury of another person.
The incident in Berigaon village of Gudamalani caused chaos in the area. The deceased's companion was severely injured and admitted to Sanchore hospital for treatment. Police conducted raids to locate the suspect, who remains at large. Gudamalani police arrived at the scene and sealed the area. SP Narendra Kumar Meena and teams from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and Mobile Operation Base (MOB) collected evidence.
According to Gudamalani police, Achalaram (60), from Udasar, was sleeping on a cot under a tin shed at Mahadev Hotel on the Berigaon village highway on Thursday, when Hanumanaram, the suspect, ran him over with the vehicle.tnn

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Bihar Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav narrowly escaped a major accident when a speeding truck collided with his convoy on National Highway-22 near Goraul in Vaishali district in the early hours of Saturday. The incident left three of his security personnel injured. According to an Indian Express report, the incident occurred at around 1:30 am when Yadav was on his way back to Patna from a party function in Madhepura. The convoy had halted briefly for tea when a speeding truck rammed into the convoy vehicles parked ahead of Yadav's car. 'We had stopped for tea during our return journey. Suddenly, a truck veered off and hit some of the vehicles in the convoy—just five feet away from where I was standing. Three of our security personnel were injured,' Yadav told Indian Express. He said the vehicle was intercepted at the toll plaza ahead and detained by the administration. The injured personnel were taken to Sadar Hospital in Hajipur and are currently under medical care. Police detain truck driver, begin probe Vaishali Superintendent of Police Lalit Mohan Sharma confirmed that the truck driver and his helper have been arrested. 'Our preliminary investigation shows the truck first hit a Bolero before ramming into the convoy. So far, no evidence of alcohol consumption has been found,' Sharma said. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav at accident spot NEW DELHI: In his first reaction after escaping unhurt in a major accident involving his convoy, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav thanked "people's love and God's grace" for keeping him unharmed. "While returning from Madhepura to Patna, at around 1:30 am, an uncontrolled truck and a car entered our convoy in Goraul, Vaishali, and hit it, leaving three security personnel injured. They were immediately taken to the nearby Sadar Hospital, Hajipur, for first aid. We then took them to Patna for further treatment," Yadav wrote on X. The injured security men were hit by a Bolero after the uncontrolled truck struck the SUV, he stated, adding that he and his convoy members were only a few feet away from the three guards. "With your love, prayers and God's grace, others remained safe. The injured personnel are undergoing treatment and is out of danger," Bihar's former deputy chief minister posted. Sister smells conspiracy His sister Rohini Acharya, on the other hand, asked whether the accident was only a "negligence or a deliberate attempt to harm." "The negligence shown by the local administration in Tejashwi's security is a matter of serious concern. It should be investigated immediately. Could it be that the negligence was deliberate and the intention was to harm him?" Acharya said on X. Further, she alleged that a similar incident happened with her brother's convoy in the past as well. Police have arrested the truck driver and seized the vehicle. Tejashwi's vehicle, however, was not among those hit by the truck.
