Man accused of killing Atlanta rapper Trouble pleads guilty
The man accused of killing Atlanta rapper Trouble has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter more than two years after the rapper's shooting death.
Jury selection was scheduled to begin for Jamichael Jones' trial on Friday, but court records show he entered a negotiated plea agreement and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

According to the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office, the 34-year-old rapper, whose name is Mariel Orr, was shot at a Conyers apartment complex in June 2022.
Investigators say Orr was visiting a female friend at the apartment complex when he was shot once in the chest.
Orr and Jones did not know one another, but police say Jones was involved in a 'domestic situation' with the woman Orr was visiting.

Middle school teacher pleads guilty to possession of child porn
LIGONIER — A former West Noble Middle School teacher is facing three years in prison for his plea agreement accepted in Noble County Circuit Court on Monday. Greg Riegsecker, 57, Ligonier, was arrested by ISP's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in August. At the time, he was charged with: one count of possession of child pornography, a Level 5 felony, and two counts of possession of child pornography, both Level 6 felonies, dating back to December 2023. Riegsecker was a sixth-grade science/civics teacher and has been a long-time high school boys tennis coach. The Indiana State Verification and Information System indicates Riegsecker's teaching license is still active as of Wednesday morning. Riegsecker's arrest came after the task force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to a statement from ISP. That tip led to a search warrant being served by ISP at a home located in the 6000 block of West C.R. 500 North, Ligonier, and Riegsecker's arrest. 'Of public concern, it should be noted that Greg Riegsecker is employed as a middle school teacher at West Noble Middle School,' a statement from ISP read. 'However, it should be noted that the investigation has not revealed any evidence at this time that would suggest any local children were involved or depicted in the alleged crimes.' The ISP search warrant request indicates that in January 2024, a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children showed Riegsecker's email address receiving very young child porn through Instagram and sending it along to another Instagram account. In November, after executing the search warrant of Riegsecker's technology, the Noble County Prosecutor's Office filed a second case dating back to March 2021: two counts of child exploitation, both Level 5 felonies; and one count of dissemination of matter harmful to minors, Level 6 felony. Riegsecker's plea deal is for both cases. He will plead guilty to one count of possession of child pornography, a Level 5 felony, and one count of child exploitation, a Level 5 felony, with the other charges dropped. Per the plea agreement, Riegsecker could serve up to three years on each count and will register as a sex offender. Sentencing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. July 29.

An 18-year-old man accused of causing a crash that killed a 15-year-old boy while running from police is now facing charges. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck said Dominick Parlett, 18, of New Lebanon, was indicted on the following charges on Wednesday: One count of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide One count of Involuntary Manslaughter Three counts of Failure to Comply One count of Receiving Stolen Property – motor vehicle Two counts of Vehicular Assault The crash occurred at the intersection of Little Richmond Road and North Snyder Road on Nov. 19, 2024, after multiple police chases. Moraine police initially spotted a Ford Escape that had been stolen from Fairborn earlier that day. Less than 10 minutes later, Miamisburg police spotted the same SUV and tried to stop it. However, the car took off again, and officers stopped the pursuit due to high speeds. Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies spotted the SUV a short time later in Jefferson Township and tried to pull it over. Parlett drove away from deputies and got it into the City of Trotwood before crashing. Parlett allegedly ran away from the scene of the crash, but was eventually arrested after a short chase. 15-year-old Jaden McClaskey was inside the SUV during the pursuits and crash. He was critically injured and died from his injuries two days later, according to Heck. Another juvenile inside the car was injured but survived. Days before the crash, Parlett was arrested for receiving stolen property after crashing a different stolen car, according to Heck. Montgomery County Jail records show that Parlett was booked into jail around 5 p.m. on Wednesday. 'Once again we see the tragic consequences that can happen when defendants flee from traffic stops. Pursuits are dangerous, not only to other drivers, but also the law enforcement officers and even to those fleeing.
