Royal Enfield recently dropped the images of the bigger twin-cylinder Himalayan, alongside the Him-E electric ADV, on its social media handles. The motorcycle giant has been working on a new generation of middleweight motorcycles, and the 'Himalayan 750' is likely to debut not only as a bigger adventure tourer but also with a larger-capacity twin-cylinder engine. Here's a quick lowdown on what we know so far about the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750.
The bigger Royal Enfield Himalayan will get a bigger half-fairing and a taller windscreen. while sporting a familiar round LED headlamp 1. Familiar Style, Larger Fairing
The spy shots of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 reveal an identical design, with the overall styling identical to the Himalayan 450. The round LED headlamp and a tower-style design are instantly recognisable, but you now have a larger half-fairing running across the sides. The fuel tank appears to be larger, and the model sports a taller windscreen. The round TFT instrument console seems to have been carried over from the current offering. The Himi 750 also gets new trapezoidal mirrors instead of the round mirrors seen on the Himi 450. The model also gets an upswept exhaust, albeit quite different from the one on the Interceptor Bear 650.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will ride on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear setup with tubeless spoked wheels 2. New Wheel Setup, Bigger Brakes
The upcoming Himalayan 750 will ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, instead of the 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup on the 452 cc version. These are likely to be tubeless wheels from the start. The new wheel sizes appear to be more inclined towards touring, but it needs to be seen if a 21-inch front wheel version will be available later. The braking system will receive an upgrade as well, with twin disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear. The disc sizes are also likely to be larger. Expect switchable dual-channel ABS, while RE could add other electronic aids like traction control on the bike.
The Himalayan 750 will be underpinned by a new frame and will get a larger displacement motor likely based on the current 648 cc twin-cylinder mill 3. Bigger Capacity Engine
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 is expected to be powered by a larger capacity engine, up from the 648 cc parallel-twin motor powering the brand's 650 range. While Royal Enfield has not disclosed the displacement of the new motor, it is expected to be larger in cubic capacity and will continue to be an air and oil-cooled unit. The current motor develops about 46.7 bhp and 52 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The new larger displacement engine will pack more power and torque in comparison, improving the bike's touring ability overall.
The test mule shows the USD forks finished in gold and a radially mounted brake master cylinder, and an upswept exhaust 4. New Cycle Parts
The new Himalayan 750 will feature upside-down (USD) front forks and a monoshock setup at the rear. Expect longer travel on both ends. The test mule shows the USD forks finished in gold and a radially mounted brake master cylinder. The adventure tourer will be underpinned by an all-new frame and subframe, which will be able to accommodate the bigger engine and other cycle parts.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 appears closer to production, and is likely to make a global debut in a few months 5. Global Debut Likely This Year
Royal Enfield is tight-lipped about when the new Himalayan 750 will make its global debut, but the middleweight adventure tourer appears to be closer to its market debut and could arrive as early as this year. We can expect the bike to be revealed globally in a few months, possibly at EICMA 2025 in November. More details on the Himalayan 750 will be revealed in the coming weeks.

BMW F 450 GS latest spy shots reveal production-ready design: What to expect?

The BMW F 450 GS will be positioned as the company's entry-level adventure tourer in India, and the motorcycle is now nearing production. The latest spy shots from the Austria-based Motorrad Magazin offer a good look at the upcoming ADV featuring a production-ready guise that is nearly identical to the concept model previewed at EICMA 2024 in Italy and Auto Expo 2025 in India. On entering production, the F 450 GS will be made in India in collaboration with the TVS Motor Company. The F 450 GS adventure tourer has been spied testing a few times over the past year, with one heavily camouflaged test mule caught on the move in Karnataka. The latest spy shots paint a better picture of what we can expect. While the production-ready model carries a few changes over the F 450 GS Concept, it retains the overall silhouette. The quad-LED DRL setup with the GS badge has been replaced with a conventional, vertically stacked dual-LED headlamp, and there is a tall visor for added touring comfort. The aggressive tank and side panel design have been carried over from the concept model. Although the front-end has been revised, its design still echoes the influence of the flagship BMW R 1300 GS. The big change, however, is the tail section, which gets broader with a new rear subframe to accommodate a pillion seat. The exhaust features the same twin-pipe design, but the muffler has been lowered, possibly to accommodate additional equipment. This motor can make 48 bhp and is tuned for strong low-end torque output, making it suitable for technical off-road riding as well as city and highway use. BMW Motorrad says the new engine has a unique ignition offset, which is expected to deliver a high-revving, yet tractable powerband. The upcoming tourer is underpinned by a steel bridge trellis frame and a bolt-on rear sub-frame and features an aluminium swing-arm with a central spring strut. It is equipped with upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. The front forks will feature some degree of adjustability, but the production-ready version loses a bit of suspension travel at both ends when compared to the concept model. The F 450 GS allows for a relaxed riding posture with high-set handlebars and footpegs positioned neutrally. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast aluminium alloys, but BMW is expected to offer wire-spoked rims wrapped in tubeless tyres at launch. BMW F 450 GS: Expected features BMW has fitted the F 450 GS with a 6.5-inch TFT cluster that allows for smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth for media controls and navigation (Motorrad Magazin) The F 450 GS will come equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT instrument display that offers full Bluetooth connectivity. This unit enables smartphone connectivity for call and message notifications, media playback control, and turn-by-turn navigation. The adventure tourer will further feature lean-sensitive ABS, enhancing safety during cornering, along with three riding modes that can be freely configured based on the rider's terrain and performance preferences. Another expected highlight is the addition of a semi-automatic transmission system that will relieve riders of having to operate the clutch while changing gears. While not much is known about this, it is expected to be offered as an option. In the global markets, it will fill the gap between the G 310 GS and the F 800 GS. The F 450 GS is expected to be unveiled soon, with a market launch by the end of 2025. While official pricing details are not available, the motorcycle is expected to be launched in multiple variants, offering varying levels of rider aids and accessories. The expected price for the BMW F 450 GS ranges between ₹4 lakh to ₹4.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Check out Upcoming Bikes In India. First Published Date:

Hero Discontinues Mavrick 440, Draws Curtain On Its Most Premium Motorcycle In India

Hero MotoCorp has now pulled the plug on the Mavrick 440, the most premium motorcycle offered by the brand in the country. While many riders had positive reviews about the bike, the sales data claim that the roadster notched a single digital or zero sales from the past few months, probably one of the biggest reasons for the discontinuation. While the brand has not unlisted the motorcycle from the website, a few dealerships have stopped taking bookings for the Mavrick 440. Hero Mavrick 440 The Mavrick 440 was first launched in early 2024 and was a naked street bike based on the Harley-Davidson X440, which is also manufactured by Hero MotoCorp in India. Launched at a price tag of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the bike was positioned as the most premium motorcycle by the brand. Talking about the specs, the Hero Mavrick 440 had a 440cc single-cylinder engine, mated with a 6-speed gearbox via an assist and slipper clutch. It was capable of pushing out a peak power and torque output of 27 bhp at 6000rpm and 36 Nm at 4000 rpm.

Eicher Motors is chasing growth. That will crimp margin in the short term

Eicher Motors Ltd's June quarter (Q1FY26) performance was supported by rising premium motorcycles volumes, higher rural penetration and continued export momentum. Royal Enfield (RE) volumes surged 17% year-on-year to 265,528 units. The company indicated that demand remains steady, particularly among younger buyers and in rural India. Realizations dropped 1% year-on-year to ₹184,855 per vehicle, but were up 2.4% sequentially. Put together, consolidated net sales grew 15% year-on-year to ₹5,042 crore. Eicher's product strategy is simple: keep it fresh and premium. Recent launches, including the Classic 650 and the refreshed Hunter, have seen good traction. The company is now doubling down on key models like the Classic and Bullet, with refreshed variants, personalized accessories and festive-timed add-ons. Marketing spends are also rising to support these upcoming electric motorcycle brand has already generated strong interest. Yes Securities' analysts expect RE's overall volumes to grow at about 7% CAGR over FY25-27. 'Recent launches could be an inflection point for RE as a completely new and improved platform should drive efficiencies. However, we remain watchful of the domestic average monthly run-rate going ahead," they said in a 1 August report. Read more: Is the worst over for the Hindustan Unilever stock? A positive factor is the rising share of rural regions in the sales mix, now close to 50%. Urban markets remain uneven, but there were some green shoots in Q1 despite no deep discounting. Instead, Eicher is leaning on brand equity, retail expansion and new offerings to draw in aspirational buyers. Exports are another bright spot, continuing to post strong growth. Nepal and Bangladesh continue to perform well for the company, and the Himalayan has found success globally. Eicher is expanding CKD (completely knocked down) operations in Brazil, widening its reach in Latin America and moving to a company-owned distribution model in Europe. The commercial vehicle business Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) continues to pull its weight, reporting almost 10% volume growth in Q1 thanks to solid market share in light and medium-duty trucks and buses and 2% realization growth. Ebitda margin rose 140 basis points (bps) to 9%. What could go wrong? First, VECV could now be in the mature phase of the CV cycle. Second, commodity inflation is a big risk. Q1 saw a 19% uptick in raw material costs. Eicher absorbed some of it through cost optimization efforts and limited price hikes. It also deferred certain new launch-related expenses, aiding margin. Still, consolidated Ebitda margin at 23.9%, declined 270 bps from a year ago. Read more: Hyundai Motor's margin muscle strong, but steering growth is the hard part The management will prioritize volume growth over short-term margin gains. 'Hence, we expect margins to remain under pressure from here on, as any benefit from an improving mix (higher spares and apparel sales) is likely to be invested by RE in demand-generation activities," said Motilal Oswal Financial Services. 'This is clearly visible in the past few quarters, where volume has seen a healthy pick-up, albeit at the expense of margins." Eicher plans to keep investing in market activation, especially for refreshed models like the Hunter. Meanwhile, the shortage of rare earth materials hurt production in Q1. Eicher has since transitioned to alternative materials and vendors, normalising output. With capacity utilisation at 85–90% across Eicher's 1.2 million units base, the company is prioritising modular expansion and de-bottlenecking. Any capex for FY26 will largely go toward new product development. To be sure, at about 28x FY27 estimated earnings, the stock trades below its 10-year average. Still, expected margin pressure may potentially hamper earnings growth in the coming quarters, keeping sharp upsides in the stock at bay.
