
Ex-IZ*ONE members forge solo paths
Three members of disbanded project girl group IZ*ONE each gave fans updates on their solo careers Tuesday.
Kwon Eunbi dropped the digital single 'Hello Stranger' on Monday. Through her agency Woollim Entertainment, she introduced the single album, saying, "The title track ('Hello Stranger') contains a story of inviting a stranger to my secret world. It is full of charm while exuding mysterious ambience."
Choi Yena announced that she will host her solo stand-alone concert in Taiwan in May, after going live in Macao next week. It is in line with the show, her first such event, held in Seoul, Osaka and Tokyo, under the title 'Strange World Starting from a Square! Journey.'
Lee Chaeyeon, meanwhile, will appear in the drama 'Let's Dance.' She will be the female lead in the drama created to help understand people with disabilities, alongside Jiseok of Big Ocean and Kim Donghan of WEi.

Golden Child members to host solo fan meetups
Lee Jangjun of Golden Child announced Tuesday via his agency that he is planning a meet-and-greet on his own for the first time. He invited fans to the event dubbed "Jangjun Town" which will be held twice in Seoul on June 22. Lee was the main rapper of the band and is appearing in marathon-themed show 'Live to Run.' In the meantime, Choi Sungyun will greet fans eight more times in Japan, according to his agency W& Entertainment on Wednesday. He will hold fan meetings twice each day in Osaka on June 21-22 and in Tokyo on July 5-6, expanding his first solo fan meetings in the country, 'All About Yun.' He hosted the event in April and May but added the dates as per fans' request. They debuted as members of the band in 2017 but all members, except Lee and Hong Joochan, left agency Woollim Entertainment when their contracts expired in December last year effectively disbanding the seven-member group.

Big Ocean returns as seductive mermen
Deaf trio drops its 2nd EP "Underwater" Deaf idol group Big Ocean is making a comeback to mark both the first anniversary of its debut and Korea's Day of Persons with Disabilities on Sunday. Big Ocean released its second mini album 'Underwater,' with four tracks: the main track 'Attention,' PJ's solo song 'Sinking,' and two B-sides that Lee Chan-yeon helped write, 'Fade Out' and 'End of Time.' 'Underwater' tells the story a group who realize they are mermen and embark on a journey to awaken their instincts. According to the group's agency, Parastar Entertainment, the subtitle of the new album, "Embracing the Black Ocean," conveys the message that everyone harbors deep and powerful instincts beneath the surface. The main track 'Attention' portrays the story of a narrator gaining confidence after realizing they are a 'mermaid.' The song tempts listeners to surrender to their emotions and follow the pull of their hearts. Member Kim Ji-seok contributed to the choreography. Big Ocean kicked off its first European tour in Lausanne, Switzerland on Saturday and Sunday, and will proceed to stops in Milan, London, Paris and Montpellier. Meanwhile, member Park Hyun-jin has changed his stage name to PJ in conjunction with the album's release.
