Demi Lovato Joins Jonas Brothers for Surprise Reunion in New Jersey

Yara Sameh It suddenly feels like 2008 again. The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato turned back the clock to their Camp Rock days with a surprise reunion performance during the Jonas Brothers' "JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour" opening show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Monday. Together, they performed a nostalgic medley of songs from the two Camp Rock films, including 'Gotta Find You,' 'This Is Me,' and 'Wouldn't Change a Thing.' The performance, marking nearly 17 years since the original film premiered, reignited rumors and speculation from fans about a possible third installment in "Camp Rock 3". However, no official announcement has yet been released. Lovato also posted a video on Instagram on stage alongside her former partner Joe Jonas singing 'Wouldn't Change a Thing,' from "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam". View this post on Instagram A post shared by Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) Kicking off their 20th anniversary North American tour, the Jonas Brothers are joined by Marshmello, Boys Like Girls, and The All-American Rejects as opening acts across 52 shows through November. The tour coincides with the release of the band's seventh studio album, "Greetings from Your Hometown". Meanwhile, Lovato released her latest track, 'Fast,' which will be part of her upcoming ninth studio album. "Camp Rock", the beloved Disney Channel Original Movie, premiered on the Disney Channel in June 2008. The musical follows Lovato as Mitchie, a teen who works in the camp kitchen so she can spend her summer at a prestigious music camp. When pop star Shane Gray, played by Joe Jonas, arrives with his bandmates to serve as counselors, he eventually helps Mitchie find her voice. The film not only launched the careers of its cast but also produced a hit soundtrack and spawned a sequel, "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," in 2010. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani

Chad Michael Murray Recounts Near-Death Experience That Led Him to Act

Yara Sameh Chad Michael Murray recently opened up about a major health scare that inadvertently paved his way into the acting world. Appearing on the Great Company with Jamie Laing podcast, the "Freakier Friday" actor recounted being admitted to the hospital at the age of 15 as a result of twisted intestines, which led to life-threatening complications. 'I was hospitalized for two and a half months. It was a lot. We had surgery. I had internal bleeding, I lost 50% of my blood. I was on my deathbed,' Murray recalled, adding that he was 'in and out of consciousness' during his hospitalization. 'I just remember seeing my father, the weakest I'd ever seen him, and a priest at the end of my bed, and they're talking about last rites and all that stuff, and [the nurse, Sandy] gave me a blood transfusion to save my life,' Murray added. 'It saved my life.' The "One Tree Hill" and "Gilmore Girls" alum also recalled another nurse, Alana, whose connections as a model got him a foot in the door in the entertainment industry. 'Alana says to me, 'Oh gosh, you should model,'' he said. 'I was like, 'I don't want to model. I want to be an actor. Like, I love film and television. I want to give this gift to other people.' And she's like, 'Well, you can segue from modeling into acting. Look, when you get out, I'm hooking you up with this modeling company I know.' And she meant it.' Murray added, 'And so I got out. I went from, like, 180 to 118 pounds. I was a skeleton when I got out, it was the scariest thing ever. I remember looking in the mirror the first time, going, 'Who is that?' Like, I cried. I couldn't believe that I was looking back at that guy.' He recalled that the traumatic experience led him to begin a 'relationship with God' and grow closer to his father. Once recovered, the actor said the modeling company eventually paid his way to a convention in Orlando, where a chance acting competition jumpstarted his move to Los Angeles and acquiring an agent. Murray can currently be seen in "Freakier Friday", the sequel to the 2003 body-swap comedy "Freaky Friday" with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, which debuted in theaters on August 8.
