Macklemore's Seattle home was reportedly robbed over the weekend while his three children were asleep in their rooms.
The shocking home invasion incident unfolded shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, according to a police report shared with The Post by the Seattle Police Department (SPD).
A woman, later identified as the homeowner's nanny, called the SPD at approximately 12:48 a.m. to report that two men had allegedly broken into the residence and sprayed her with bear mace.

It also left the name 'Davis' unredacted in one portion of the report, which matches the last name of Macklemore's wife, Tricia Davis.
Macklemore and Davis, both 41, share three children: Sloane, 10, Colette, 7, and Hugo, 3.
'She [the nanny] escaped, but three children were still inside the house,' the police report read. '[The nanny] also added that the house belonged to a high-profile individual, [redacted], and that she believed the crime may have been politically motivated for some reason.'

The 'Thrift Shop' singer has been an outspoken supporter of Palestine amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict in Gaza.
Last month, Macklemore shared a lengthy Instagram post in which he condemned the attacks on Gaza and the backlash that artists like himself were facing for 'standing up against a genocide.'
He was also axed from a music festival back in September after he chanted 'f–k America' during the Palestine Will Live Forever charity music event in Seattle.

Elsewhere in the report, the responding officer wrote that he found the nanny in 'obvious fear' at a neighboring residence.
She told the police that she was at the house and, after putting the three children to bed in their rooms on the home's second floor, witnessed two men entering a patio door near an office, according to the officer's notes.
The nanny further alleged that the two men entered the home and sprayed her with bear mace, then yelled, 'Where are the jewels, bitch?'

She said she led them upstairs to the main bedroom, at which point the two suspects allegedly 'went through drawers, cabinets and raided the closet full of clothing, jewelry and shoes.'
The SPD, in a separate release about the incident shared on Saturday afternoon, said that the two men 'ransacked the residence, stealing thousands of dollars of items.'
The nanny also claimed that she was thrown to the ground and physically assaulted by the suspects before managing to break free.
7 Police arrived at the home and found the residence in 'obvious signs of disarray.'

'[The nanny] began to scream, so they got her up and pinned her against a wall, the shorter one holding her mouth shut,' the report stated. 'At this point, [the nanny] tried to kick the shorter one in the groin, but was unable to, so she bit onto his hand hard, causing him to let go.'
'[She] then fled through the bathroom and out of the house,' it continued. '[She] knocked on numerous residences before someone opened the door and allowed her inside to call the police.'
Cops later arrived and found the residence in 'obvious signs of disarray.'
7 The three children were 'safely extracted' from the home by the Seattle Police Dept.

The responding officers were able to 'safely extract' the three children from the home, at which point they were handed off to family members who had arrived at the residence.
'The house was searched and checked clear of any suspects, with the three children safely extracted,' the report read. 'There were obvious signs of disarray in the portions of the house described by [redacted] to be involved and bear spray was still present in the air through portions of the house.'
'Various family members responded to the scene,' it continued. 'I escorted the family and [redacted] to the house after the scene was rendered safe and the house was searched. The family members took custody of the children for the evening and took them to a safe residence nearby.'
The Post has reached out to Macklemore's reps for comment.

Elton John pays tribute to 'true giant' Brian Wilson

Elton John has paid a heartfelt tribute to late "musical genius" Brian Wilson. On Wednesday, family members announced that the co-founder of the Beach Boys had died at the age of 82. A cause of death wasn't announced, though Brian had been diagnosed with dementia in February 2024. Following the sad news, Elton took to Instagram to post a throwback photo of himself in a recording studio with the Good Vibrations hitmaker. "Brian Wilson was always so kind to me from the day I met him. He sang 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight' at a tribute concert in 2003, and it was an extraordinary moment for me. I played on his solo records, he sang on my album, The Union, and even performed for my AIDS Foundation," he wrote in the caption. "I grew to love him as a person, and for me, he was the biggest influence on my songwriting ever; he was a musical genius and revolutionary. He changed the goalposts when it came to writing songs and shaped music forever. A true giant." Bob Dylan also shared a message in honour of Brian. "Heard the sad news about Brian today and thought about all the years I've been listening to him and admiring his genius. Rest in peace dear Brian," the legendary musician commented on X. Elsewhere, Nancy Sinatra recalled how singing California Girls with Brian was "one of the biggest thrills of my life", while Mick Fleetwood explained how he was "greatly saddened" by this "major worldly loss". "Anyone with a musical bone in their body must be grateful for Brian Wilson's genius magical touch!! And greatly saddened of this major worldly loss!! My thoughts go out to his family and friends," the Fleetwood Mac star posted on Instagram. In addition, Sean Ono Lennon noted that he was "heartbroken" over Brian's passing. "Not many people influenced me as much as he did. I feel very lucky that I was able to meet him and spend some time with him. He was always very kind and generous. He was our American Mozart. A one-of-a-kind genius from another world," he wrote on X.

Burglars hit home of Bay Area death metal guitarist days after fatal police shooting

Two men have been charged with breaking into death metal guitarist Brian Montana's home to steal his credit cards and car just days after he was shot and killed by police following a violent neighborhood standoff, authorities said. Richard Vaka, of Newark, and Norman Desumala, of Fremont, were arrested June 5 after a South San Francisco Police Department investigation tied them to a burglary on the 300 block of Arroyo Drive that occurred May 2 — four days after Montana's fatal confrontation with police. The break-in took place shortly after 6 a.m., while the residence was unoccupied, according to police. Montana's friend Rob Estrada noted on Facebook that the guitarist's family still lived in the home, though they had stayed elsewhere immediately following the shooting. 'The suspects forced entry into a home that had been temporarily vacated following a tragic neighborhood incident, before stealing personal property and a vehicle,' the department wrote in a Facebook post on June 9. Detectives identified the suspects through a witness description and evidence that one of the stolen credit cards had been used at a Bay Area casino later that day. Vaka and Desumala were later taken into custody during an unrelated police encounter in Fremont, officials said. Vaka faces charges of first-degree burglary, vehicle theft and grand theft. Desumala has been charged with theft and fraud-related offenses. Both men were booked into Alameda County Jail and remain in custody. Montana, 60, was killed April 28 during an extended exchange of gunfire with police that began after a dispute with a neighbor over fallen tree debris. According to authorities, he fired multiple weapons — including a handgun, shotgun and rifle — at officers and homes before he was fatally shot. An early member of Possessed, Montana played on the band's influential 1984 'Death Metal' demo, widely credited with coining the name of the genre. Though he left before the release of the debut album, 'Seven Churches,' his role in the band's formation helped define its aggressive sound. The band paid tribute to Montana in an Instagram post shortly after his death. 'Brian Montana was a very nice guy,' the caption read. 'He was jovial and a gentleman. He was into martial arts and he was an excellent guitar player. Brian was always cracking jokes and he was a good person. Although we weren't in touch often and more than a phone call here and there. The Brian I know is from when we were still just kids back in the beginning of Possessed. He was nothing like what I'm seeing being written about him. In fact, I think that's one of the reasons that led to him leaving Possessed. He just wasn't willing to be as dark as we wanted him to be at that time. We were going for that evil imagery, and Brian was just so lighthearted, even goofy in a good way.' The band went on to ask for the public to respect the privacy of his family and close friends as they continue to mourn his death. 'He was obviously going through some struggles and I think this is the time to be respectful towards the Montana family and friends as this is a tragic time for them,' Possessed wrote. 'I'm sure there's a lot more to this story but that would be up to Brian's family to tell or not to tell. I know that I still feel this is a great loss and I'm deeply saddened.'
