Jami Gertz has officially been named the world's richest actress, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
The 59-year-old actress, best known for her roles in Square Pegs, The Lost Boys, Crossroads and Twister, has amassed an estimated USD$8 billion (AUD$12.5 billion fortune), putting her ahead of Tom Cruise, Reese Witherspoon, Brad Pitt, and even Steven Spielberg.
Gertz was raised in Glenview, Chicago, alongside her two brothers.

But her life changed dramatically after a chance introduction to businessman Tony Ressler by her publicist in 1987.
At the time, Ressler was working at investment bank Drexel Burnham Lambert, the now-defunct firm that famously collapsed over the junk bond scandal involving financier Michael Milken.
The pair quickly fell in love and married two years later.
"Everyone thinks I married a rich guy," Gertz told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018.
"But I made more money- way more money- than Tony when I met him. I paid for our first house. I paid for our first vacation. I married him because I fell in love with him."

Things shifted in 1990 when Ressler co-founded Apollo Global Management, now worth close to USD$80 billion (about AUD$125 billion).
Seven years later, he launched a second firm, Ares Management, which also skyrocketed in success.
Together, Gertz and Ressler quietly built a vast empire.
They collaborated on multiple business ventures, including Gertz's own production company, Lime Orchard Productions, which has collaborated on projects like The Monkey, Heretic, Dune: Prophecy and One Piece.
In 2015, they bought the NBA team the Atlanta Hawks for a reported USD$720 million.

Picture:Their four children, Abigail, Oliver, Nicholas and Theo, were all part of the decision-making process.
"When Mum married my dad, she realised how much he loved the sport and slowly started to gain an appreciation for the game," middle son Nick told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018.
"Before long, the idea of owning a team became a frequent topic for dinner-table conversation. 'Wouldn't it be cool? Wouldn't that be fun?' Eventually, it became a reality."
The couple later purchased a minority stake in the Milwaukee Brewers MLB team.

Today, Gertz's net worth is estimated to be around USD$8 billion (AUD$12.5 billion), making her wealthier than not only Cruise (with an estimated net worth of USD$600 million) and Pitt (USD$595 million), but also Taylor Swift (USD$1.7 billion), Michael Jordan (USD$3.5 billion) and even Steven Spielberg (USD$5.3 billion).
But Gertz has seemingly taken it all in her stride.
"I get it," she said.
"It's not your everyday Hollywood actress tale."

The family have also poured millions into philanthropy.
In 1999, they co-founded the Painted Turtle Camp with actor Paul Newman, offering life-changing camp experiences to children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses.
Their Ressler Gertz Family Foundation has supported institutions like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs.
Most recently, in February this year, the Atlanta Hawks Foundation and the Ressler Gertz Family Foundation donated USD$150,000 to the Prostate Cancer Foundation to raise awareness and support research efforts.

Mindy Kaling's 'superstitions' influence her acting career

Mindy Kaling's superstitions have stopped her from appearing in Never Have I Ever. The 45-year-old actress co-created the hit Netflix series, which is set in the San Fernando Valley in California, and Mindy has now revealed why she didn't cast herself in the show. Mindy - who previously co-created The Sex Lives of College Girls - told The Hollywood Reporter: "A show literally about an Indian American family in southern California, and if I wasn't on that - what's wrong with me? "I think there is a part of me that feels a little superstitious. I'm like, 'these seem to have gone well and I'm not in them so maybe I'll wait.'" Despite this, Mindy plans to return to acting soon. She shared: "I miss it. I would like to write or co-create a show for me to act in soon." Mindy would actually love to combine acting and directing in the coming years. She said: "I would love to do that again. "That's the thing that maybe in the next couple of years, when I launch a couple of other things that are earlier in the pipeline, that would be something that would be fun to do again." Mindy previously admitted that she feels most comfortable writing about "strivers and dorks". The Hollywood star is a huge fan of the X-rated drama series Euphoria - which stars the likes of Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney - but Mindy doubts she could write a similar type of TV show. Mindy - who recently co-created the sports comedy Running Point - told The Hollywood Reporter: "I love Euphoria' and I think [creator] Sam [Levinson] is like a genius. I think he has a lot to say about things like sex and drug use and addiction and those are incredibly interesting, but we don't have a ton of experience in that. "I watch that show on the edge of my seat, vicariously, but I feel like nerds lusting over guys is more what we feel comfortable writing about so that's why we do this. We write about strivers and dorks and people who are underestimated."

Len Wiseman hopes to establish Ballerina franchise

Len Wiseman would "love" to establish a 'Ballerina' franchise. The 52-year-old director recently helmed the 'John Wick' spin-off movie, and Len has revealed that he'd love to continue working with Ana de Armas, who plays Eve Macarro, a ballerina who becomes an assassin, in the new film. Asked about the character's long-term future, Len told The Hollywood Reporter: "I wanted this film to be the best that it could possibly be, but it's hard not to wonder. "Often, when I am asked that, I'll say, 'No, I want to wait and see what happens.' And that's true to a point, but when you're developing something and you get so immersed in a character, you have to build out what their story is before and after the movie you're making. That's how you really understand the character, so that's always on my mind. "The movie ends a bit ambiguously on purpose. Who's putting the contract out on her? I'd like to hear theories about where it goes. I definitely have my theory. I would love it if it were to continue, and I think it would surprise people where we would go with it. So we're just waiting for what the reaction is to this one, but yes, I totally have fantasy plans about where Eve would go." Len has been a fan of Ana for years, and he's admitted to being wowed by her performance in 'No Time to Die', the 2021 James Bond film. The director shared: "I would love to see that character show up again; it was just too brief. "We had already gotten involved with Ana. I had Ana in mind for quite a while before that. I went and saw a private screening of 'No Time to Die', and that confirmed her casting even more." Ana recently revealed that she's loved becoming part of the 'John Wick' franchise. The 37-year-old actress told The Hollywood Reporter: "I love the character and I think we can go anywhere from where we left it." Ana hailed Chad Stahelski, the director of the 'John Wick' movies, and Keanu Reeves - who plays the legendary hitman - for helping to establish the film franchise. And Ana is now excited to see what the future holds. The actress - who worked with Keanu on 2015's 'Knock Knock' and 2016's 'Exposed' - said: "It's really cool. I really like this character and the story and the universe and everything that Chad and Keanu created with the 'John Wick' films, and now to be a part of it, it's really special." Ana pushed herself to her physical limits in preparation for her role in 'Ballerina'. She said: "Every day tested my limits, just endurance and the level of discipline and commitment and focus that you have to have to take on a movie like this is something that I had never done before, and especially for a long period of time."

Joe Rogan left shocked as he reacts to Elon Musk and Donald Trump feud during live podcast recording while guest FBI director Kash Patel refuses to weigh in

Joe Rogan's live reaction to the outrageous feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump has been captured in the latest episode of his mega-popular podcast. The disagreement between the pair, who appeared to have a strong relationship in the early months of Trump's second term as President, started after Musk lashed out at the President's signature "big beautiful bill" which would unleash trillions in tax cuts and slash spending but also add to the USD$36 trillion debt. Musk's attack on the bill came after he finished his tenure with the administration overseeing the Department of Government Efficiency. The disagreement over the bill led the pair to trade barbs with one another through social media and at the leader of the free world's press conferences. President Trump on Thursday said he was "disappointed" in Musk who had earlier described the bill as a "disgusting abomination", before the Tesla founder accused the commander-in-chief of being in files relating to dead sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In episode 2334 of the Joe Rogan Experience, which dropped on Friday, US time, the podcast host who was unaware of the unfolding drama at the time, had it brought to his attention about three-quarters through his discussion with FBI director Kash Patel. Rogan's producer Jamie noticed the tweets, and brought them up screen for the host who was left shocked by how rapidly the bitter feud had developed. "Jesus Christ", Rogan said in response to Musk claiming Trump's name was in the Epstein files. "Someone should take (Musk's) phone away. That's a crazy thing to say. How does he know? Does he know that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files or does he have access to the Epstein files?" Mr Patel refused to take part in speculating about the claims or weighing into the argument adding: "I'm not participating in that conversation". "I don't know how he would (have access to the Epstein files) but I'm just staying out of the Trump/Elon thing, that's way outside my lane. I know my lane and that ain't it," he said. Rogan continued in disbelief, responding: "what the f**k are they doing?" "I mean I understand (Musk) owns Twitter (but) I think it's bad for your mental things public all day and arguing with people all day is bad for you." Mr Patel pivoted away, as he directed the conversation back to the FBI. Asked about the feud on a phone call with CNN, President Trump kept his response short. 'I'm not even thinking about Elon," he said on Friday (local time). "He's got a problem. The poor guy's got a problem." CNN host Dana Bash then asked the President if he had spoken to Musk. 'No. I won't be speaking to him for a while I guess, but I wish him well," he said.
