Ramayana: Karan Johar calls Ranbir Kapoor-Yash's film ‘unreal', Alia Bhatt says, ‘This feels like the start of something unforgettable'

After much-anticipation, the makers of Bollywood film Ramayana unveiled a teaser of the mythological drama on Thursday. The over three-minute teaser introduced the movie's characters and a glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravana. The teaser has created a lot of excitement among movie buffs who have flooded social media with positive reactions. The excitement was not limited to movie buffs but also people from the film industry, included Alia Bhatt, Sargun Mehta, and Karan Johar. Actors associated with the film also shared the teaser on their social media accounts, accompanied by emotional captions.
After the teaser was unveiled, many took to the comments section of the YouTube channel, The World Of Ramayana. A user wrote, 'Even the introduction video is far better than whole Adipurush movie.' Another user wrote, 'Blockbuster written on every frame.' A comment read, 'The quality of the title card is so peak I wish this was a full fledged Ramayana Series intro. Absolute Goosebumps.'
Similarly, celebrities too shared their excitement on their social media handles. Karan Johar took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, 'This is what a mega blockbuster looks and sounds like! UNREAL! Congratulations to the entire team, it is looking phenomenal and cannot wait for the world to witness this magic!'
Alia Bhatt, who is married to Ramayana actor Ranbir Kapoor, shared the teaser on her Instagram handle and wrote, 'Some things don't need words. This feels like the start of something unforgettable. Diwali 2026 — we're waiting.'
Actress Sargun Mehta, wife of Ravi Dubey, who plays Lakshman in the film, shared the teaser on her Instagram handle and wrote, '2026 ki diwali ka intezaar meri zindagi ka sabse lamba intezaar hoga . My heart is so so full . everytime I see the teaser , read the names on the poster my heart swells with love and gratitude. Shukar shukar shukar.'

Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is all set to hit theatres on Diwali 2026. The second part of the film will hit theatres in 2027. The film also stars Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, and Lara Dutta in important roles.
