Steelers' T.J. Watt record deal is already inspiring other edge rushers
On Day 2 of Chargers training camp, Tuipulotu addressed Watt's record-setting deal during media availability — claiming it as a source of inspiration to start sacking the quarterback.
'We all seen T.J. Watt's deal," Tuipulotu said, via ESPN's Kris Rim. "So, man, we gotta get to the quarterback.'
Tuipulotu was drafted by the Chargers with the 54th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He wasted little time impressing the NFL world after entering the league — he earned a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team in his debut season and produced 8.5 sacks in just nine starts in Year 2.
Watt's new average salary of $41 million slots him in as the highest-paid non-QB in the NFL — and clearly, Tuipulotu is ready to stack two more dominant seasons to potentially take the reins from the Steelers superstar defender.

Joel Klatt has highest possible praise for Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith
The amount of love being heaped on Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith isn't too terribly surprising. After all, all you have to do is look at the season he put together as a freshman is perphaps second to none in the history of the game for a wide receiver. Count Fox's Joel Klatt into that same group of admirers because the praise he had for the OSU superstar when counting down the top ten players in college football might be the most complimentary comments I've ever heard. To nobody's surprise, Klatt named Smith as the No. 1 player in the country but went on a long summarization of why, including his work ethic, talent, upside, and more. In large part, he called Smith the "greatest college football player I've ever seen." But it goes much deeper than that. As a footnote that really shouldn't be, Klatt not only ranked Smith at No. 1, he also named Ohio State safety Caleb Downs as the No. 2 player in the game for 2025. You can hear Klatt react and analyze both Buckeyes as well as the other eight players in his popular Joel Klatt Show podcast. To hear his take on the two OSU players, you can skip ahead to near the end of the show. If you don't follow Klatt much, we suggest you do. He's balanced, fair, and insightful more often than not in his comments and thoughts on all things college football. Cardinals training camp: Once-promising OLB BJ Ojulari has something to prove in camp
The Cardinals look like they have moved on without counting on BJ Ojulari. He has something to prove in training camp. The Arizona Cardinals kicked off their second week of training camp on Monday with the pads finally coming on. The competition between players and position battles continue. We have detailed a number of key position battles for the team. Aside from those battles, there are some individual players who have something to prove in camp this year. One of them is third-year outside linebacker BJ Ojulari. OLB BJ Ojulari has something to prove Ojulari, a second-round pick in 2023, has not gotten any traction in his NFL career. Hampered by a knee injury in the offseason of his rookie season, he was brought along slowly and showed promise in the second half of the year. Expected to become perhaps the team's most productive pass rusher in 2024, he tore his ACL in the preseason. Since then, they extended Zaven Collins, traded for and re-signed Baron Browning, signed Josh Sweat to a big free agent deal and drafted Jordan Burch. In essence, they made plans without him. What is worse, he started training camp on PUP, so despite having had surgery nearly a year ago, he is not cleared to play. Is he going to go the way of Cam Thomas and Myjai Sanders, one-time promising pass rushers who fizzle out or get traded? He certainly could be used, but if there is any hope that he can be what most of us thought he could a year ago, he has to prove himself once he is cleared to practice. 'Class Act' - NFL Fans React To Josh Allen's Powerful Moment With U.S. Military
'Class Act' - NFL Fans React To Josh Allen's Powerful Moment With U.S. Military originally appeared on The Spun. Josh Allen has won over many NFL fans for his incredible play on the gridiron. The Buffalo Bills quarterback also has considerable support for his conduct off the field. Buffalo continued its training camp with an open practice on Tuesday. Allen showed his character through a couple of viral fan interactions. While signing autographs, Allen encountered a group of attendees in military regalia. Allen removed his cap and shook each of their hands before signing for them. Onlookers appreciated the gesture on social media. "Josh is a class act," a fan wrote. "So respectful," another fan said." "That's my QB," a Bills fan declared. Allen also delighted fans with another touching moment. He waved goodbye to the crowd of autograph-seekers when trying to walk away, but the Pro Bowler returned to console a crying young girl. The 29-year-old hugged her and signed something for her and a couple of other children nearby. "It is really, really, really, really hard not to like Josh Allen," a fan said. "Literally couldn't think of a better man to be the QB of this team and face of the city," a fan wrote. "He's the man." "He would sign autographs for everyone who wants one if it was physically possible," a Bills fan said. "He's just THAT guy. Wouldn't trade him for any other QB in the league, not in a million years." Allen has firmly established himself as the face of the Bills organization and one of the NFL's brightest stars. He's second to Patrick Mahomes in passing yards and touchdowns since the start of 2020. The former No. 7 pick beat out Lamar Jackson in a tight vote to win his first MVP award last season. Allen posted a league-best 77.3 QBR with 3,731 passing yards and 531 rushing yards, accounting for 40 total touchdowns. The Bills went 25 years without winning the AFC East before Allen led them to five consecutive division crowns. They've notched double-digit victories in each of the last six seasons, but Allen is still pursuing his first Super Bowl appearance. With fans assigning the Kansas City Chiefs a villain role, even neutral observers may be rooting for Allen to finally defeat Buffalo's conference rival and capture the Lombardi Trophy.'Class Act' - NFL Fans React To Josh Allen's Powerful Moment With U.S. Military first appeared on The Spun on Jul 29, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Jul 29, 2025, where it first appeared.
