TPIsoftware Drives Vietnam's Industry 4.0 by Accelerating Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park Green Transformation with Newly-Launched ESG Platform 'Shinec Digital Green Economy'
TAIPEI, June 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Shinec Joint Stock Company, the developer of Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park (IP), officially launched its ESG application platform, "Shinec Digital Green Economy," marking a significant milestone on its journey toward sustainable development. This event not only represents a major step in the comprehensive digitalization of the IP's operational management but also affirms Nam Cau Kien's pioneering role in creating an eco-industrial park, advancing towards Net-Zero targets, and unlocking the potential for carbon credit generation. TPIsoftware supports the park sustainability initiative with the "Shinec Digital Green Economy" platform, a comprehensive solution powered by the company's GreenSwift (smart carbon management platform) and ElectriSwift (smart energy management system), with GGI Technology serving as the ESG consultant. The platform functions as an intelligent IP management system focused on digitalizing environmental management, emissions control, and security. Through this platform, the solution provides a holistic management system, from real-time carbon emissions data collection and analysis of emission and energy consumption hotspots to recommending and monitoring improvement strategies. The superiority of "Shinec Digital Green Economy" is demonstrated through its diverse integrated features: Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Management (powered by GreenSwift): Streamlines carbon data collection, analysis and reporting, ensuring auditing and inventory efficiency through an integrated platform, aligning the inventory process with international standards such as ISO 14064-1. Smart Energy Management (powered by ElectriSwift): Monitors and detects energy inefficiencies based on acquired power usage patterns, providing insights into energy consumption with real-time alerting for optimized energy-saving strategies. Wastewater Monitoring and Treatment: Tracks water quality indicators (pH, TSS, COD, BOD, Ammonia) before and after treatment and calculates the corresponding GHG emissions. Intelligent Security Monitoring: Integrates AIoT into the camera system to issue instant security alerts for events such as crowd detection, fence climbing, accidents, and fires. Visual Reporting: Provides an intuitive dashboard on both mobile and web platforms, allowing management to access reports anytime, anywhere, facilitating timely and effective decision-making. In the face of intense pressure from global climate change, Carbon Management Systems (CMS) are emerging as a new global trend, aligning with international accords such as the Paris Agreement (2015), Net Zero 2050, and COP26/COP28. These frameworks compel businesses to reduce carbon emissions. Regulations like the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) impose carbon tariffs on imported goods, forcing exporting enterprises to measure and manage their carbon footprint. Globally, CMS is becoming mandatory for listed companies (under IFRS S2, CSRD), while carbon pricing (taxes, ETS) is being strengthened in developing nations. Japan and South Korea are leading with carbon pricing policies (carbon tax, ETS), with corporations like Toyota and Samsung already implementing CMS to achieve their Net Zero 2050 goals. Indonesia and Malaysia are focusing on CMS in the oil and gas and agricultural sectors. The Indian government has promoted its Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS) since 2023. China is at the forefront of implementing robust policies to support its businesses in transitioning towards carbon neutrality by 2060 and is a pioneer in IP carbon management, investing in carbon offset projects across ASEAN and Africa. Vietnam is committed to achieving net zero by 2050 and will pilot a carbon credit exchange, including mechanisms for trading and offsetting credits, while preparing to officially launch a carbon credit trading floor connected to regional and international markets by 2028. CMS adoption in Vietnam is expected to grow, driven by FDI and export requirements. The government will support SMEs through tax incentives and training. Vietnamese businesses are encouraged to invest in CMS early to mitigate carbon tax risks and enhance global competitiveness. Investing in this green and digital solution not only helps Nam Cau Kien IP optimize operations and reduce costs through efficient energy and resource use but is also a strategic move to enhance its brand reputation through environmental responsibility. This positions the IP to achieve ISO certifications for energy management (ISO 50001) and carbon neutrality (ISO 14068). Furthermore, the next phase of the project is expected to digitize green spaces—which account for 31% of the entire IP, including trees, shrubs, lawns, and water features—and renewable energy sources. This will create a solid foundation for calculating carbon sequestration and tapping into the future carbon credit market for the developer. Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park, under Shinec's strategic investment, marks the group's commitment to creating an eco-industrial park model toward achieving carbon neutrality. The collective efforts of Shinec's pioneering vision, GGI Technology's expert consultancy, and TPIsoftware's strengths in implementing impactful sustainability initiatives are poised for broader deployment across Shinec's eco-industrial parks and other industrial parks in Vietnam. The launch of "Shinec Digital Green Economy" not only elevates the stature of Shinec and Nam Cau Kien IP within the Vietnamese and regional industrial park landscape but also builds significant credibility for its implementation partners, GGI Technology and TPIsoftware. It affirms their capacity to consult on and deliver advanced green technology solutions, contributing significantly to Vietnam's national sustainable development goals. United States Presidential Culinary Museum® Celebrates America 250 with Launch of "The Washington's Famous Syllabub Drink"
GROVER, N.C., June 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of the Semiquincentennial—America's 250th anniversary of independence—the United States Presidential Culinary Museum® is continuing to promote the national celebration with a unique culinary tribute: the Founding Families Syllabub, a fun, free-wheeling drink of the beloved Colonial-era libations. America's 250th anniversary is officially being marked by a year‑long series of national events, beginning Memorial Day 2025 and rocketing into July 4, 2026. With events spanning the federal government, local institutions, nonprofits, and the public, this multi-faceted celebration is meant to rekindle our country's rich history and spirit. Syllabub, a frothy, sweet drink traditionally made with cream, sugar, and wine or brandy, has a storied past dating back to the 1500s during the reign of the Tudors starting with King Henry VII, son of Edmund Tudor, 1st Earl of Richmond, and Lady Margaret Beaufort. It remained a favorite for more than 300 years. Long before eggnog with a dash of cinnamon became the seasonal staple, Syllabub was enjoyed year-round—both in England and in the American colonies. The drink's popularity grew immensely in the 1700s, despite sugar being heavily taxed and politically controversial for British colonists. In America, even amidst this taxation tension, Syllabub became a fashionable indulgence. By the time of the American Revolution, it had become a signature at social gatherings, particularly among Founding Fathers and First Lady Dolley Madison, who famously served it at White House receptions. Syllabub wasn't just a drink—it was an experience. It had its own glassware, utensils, and preparation techniques designed to create the perfect whipped froth on top. Initially served in clay mugs, its visual appeal led to the development of clear glass vessels, which triggered a consumer revolution of insanity purchasing. Middle-class households began purchasing specialty Syllabub sets, and merchants advertised entire fancy collections in their shops. During the Revolutionary War, the drink remained popular—even when fancy glassware was hard to come by. Colonists, considering themselves British Americans, were keen to keep pace with fashion trends from the U.K.—from food and drink to décor and dress. Owning Syllabub glassware was as much about identity as it was about indulgence. Today, the United States Presidential Culinary Museum® is proud to revive this historic beverage with an authentic, verified recipe from George and Martha Washington. Syllabub was famously served at the W Mount Vernon estate, Jefferson's Monticello, the Madison's Montpelier, according to historical records and is featured there today as well as at Williamsburg, The American Revolutionary War Living History Center, and Old Salem Village. Event Highlights: - Launch reception on July 4, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Museum's Presidential Dining Room - Syllabub tasting stations, menu pairings, and live culinary demonstrations including non-alcoholic versions and how to create those - Historical talk series, "Sips from the Past: Colonial Drinks & Diplomacy" streamed on the PRESENTS™ Network via YouTube, Linkedin LIVE, Instagram, TWITCH, and Facebook Former White House Master Chef Marti Mongiello with his wife, Executive Chef Stormy Mongiello, Museum President, and Tournant Chef Barry Mongiello note: "Food—and drink—tell stories. Our syllabub bridges gastronomy and history, letting people taste, touch, and smell the touch of Colonial America. We're proud to be part of the nation's 250th celebrations." About the United States Presidential Culinary Museum® Located in Grover, NC., the town celebrates being named after President Grover Cleveland and is in Cleveland County, NC. It's dedicated to preserving and sharing the culinary traditions of America's presidents, first ladies, and their families. Through exhibitions, TV appearances, keynote speeches, White House replica luncheons and dinners, recipes, and tastings, it explores how food and drink reflect cultural and historical moments. Marti and Stormy Mongiello serve as the leading chefs, and both are disabled veterans of 36 years combined military service. Media Contact:Master Chef Marti Mongiello, MBA, MA, MCFEThe United States Presidential Culinary Museum® The US Presidential Service Center®301 Cleveland Ave, Grover, NC 28073 and (704) 937-2940ceo@ Historic Recipe: Washington Family Syllabub From the Kitchen of President George and Martha Washington. Perfected by Executive Chef to the Washington's, Hercules Posey – who later ran away from being a slave. Ingredients:- 1 Quart of heavy cream - 1 Cup of white wine- 6 Tablespoons white sugar - 1 whole nutmeg (grated) or ground nutmeg- 2 Tablespoons of rose water (can be bought or made with hot water and rose petals)- Zest of 1/2 lemon- Sprig of Rosemary- Salt (a pinch) Instructions from the manuscripts given by Franics Parke Custis to Martha Washington: Scald the cream together with the nutmeg, cut in quarters. Remove from the fire and when cool, pour in a glass jar. Let stand overnight. Mix the white wine, rose water, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Pour the cream over this and lay in the rosemary and lemon peel. Let stand for five or six hours until the curds form. The modern method: Pour cream into a bowl and beat with a whisk or electric mixer until soft peaks appear. Add the sugar, lemon zest, salt, rose water, nutmeg and beat briefly. Pour in the wine (experiment with sweet or dry wines, etc.) and mix then put into glasses and place into the refrigerator overnight to separate into cool layers. Decorate with more lemon zest and the sprigs of Rosemary. All types of other decorations can be fantasized about and made as well as adding even more whipped cream on top with grated nutmeg. Traditionally served in Syllabub glasses to show off the distinct layers, this recipe was a favorite of all of the revolutionary founding families and frequently offered at elegant affairs at the White House, private first family estates, on Presidential yachts and rail cars, and at the Camp David Resort and Conference Center. A "Whipt Syllabub" of the era would include many different flavor ideas of lemon and strawberry and other ideas and also could be made with egg whites and heavy cream mixed with sugar and wine beaten to a froth. Disney and Comcast Just Declared War on AI -- And They're Starting with Midjourney
Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS) and Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ:CMCSA) are stepping into the legal ring togetherand this time, their opponent isn't another studio, it's artificial intelligence. The two media giants have filed a joint lawsuit against AI image generator Midjourney, accusing the startup of infringing on copyrights by producing unauthorized images of iconic characters like Darth Vader, Shrek, and Homer Simpson. Filed in California federal court, the suit seeks damages of up to $150,000 per violation. According to the complaint, both companies had previously asked Midjourney to stop using their content, but received no meaningful response. Warning! GuruFocus has detected 1 Warning Sign with CMCSA. Midjourney, launched publicly in 2022 by CEO David Holz, has quickly gained influence with its viral AI-generated imagesfrom the Pope in a white puffer jacket to fake scenes of Donald Trump being arrested. The platform, which operates primarily through Discord and its website, trains its models using a massive trove of online imagessome of which belong to companies like Disney and Comcast. The AI community argues this practice falls under fair use, but the lawsuit highlights a growing backlash from content owners who believe their IP is being exploited without consent or compensation. What makes this moment especially complicated is that Disney and Comcast aren't anti-AIthey're experimenting with it too. In fact, Disney recently used AI to replicate Darth Vader's voice in Fortnite through a partnership with Epic Games. But they're drawing a line when it comes to copyright control. With Midjourney's Discord server now topping 21 million users, this case could reshape the rules of how AI companies train modelsand whether copyright holders finally get a seat at the table when it comes to monetization.
