Later, Mawra was eventually dropped from the cast of 'Sanam Teri Kasam 2'. Harshvardhan Rane took to Instagram to express his stance, stating that he would not be part of the sequel if the original cast was retained. He shared, 'While I am grateful for the experience however as things stand, and after reading the direct comments made about my country, I have made a decision to respectfully decline to be a part of 'Sanam Teri Kasam' part 2 if there is any possibility of the previous cast being repeated.

Veteran actor Achyut Potdar, who has been a part of several successful Bollywood films and TV shows passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 91. He took his last breath at Jupiter Hospital in Thane. The cause of his death has not yet been disclosed. His passing marks a significant loss for the Indian film industry. After completing his graduation, he worked as a professor in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, before enlisting in the Indian Army. Less than a year after his marriage, Potdar joined the Army through the Emergency Commission. When his tenure ended, he retired in 1967 with the rank of captain. He later worked for 25 years as an executive at Indian Oil and retired in 1992 at the age of 58. While at Indian Oil, Potdar actively participated in theatrical projects, plays, and cultural activities, which nurtured his passion for acting.
