Alabama football 2025 season preview, predictions: Dijon Lee Jr.

When it comes to immediate impact names in the Alabama Crimson Tide's 2025 recruiting class, Dijon Lee Jr. might just sit atop that list. A versatile defensive back, Lee immediately joins a deep Alabama cornerback room as a player certainly capable of making an impact as a true freshman. One of the more athletic players in the position room as well, many across the sport project Lee to make an impact this season as a true freshman also, and to potentially be one of the top newcomers in the SEC this fall. Let's take a look at everything you need to know about Alabama freshman defensive back Dijon Lee Jr. ahead of the 2025 season. Dijon Lee Jr. player information Dijon Lee Jr. career stats Lee is set to enter his first collegiate season this fall. The defensive back has yet to compile any stats at the college level. Dijon Lee Jr. 2024 stats Lee's 2024 season was spent within the state of California at Mission Viejo High School. Playing both ways, Lee had 52 tackles, two TFL, and four interceptions across 11 games defensively, while also hauling in 15 receptions for 272 yards on offense. Dijon Lee Jr. recruiting ranking Among the biggest names in Alabama's 2024 recruiting class, Lee comes to Tuscaloosa considered as the nation's No. 14 overall prospect, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 4 cornerback nationally. A five-star prospect who committed to Alabama in June 2024, Lee was also ranked the No. 1 recruit in California where he attended Mission Viejo High School. Dijon Lee Jr. 2025 season outlook Lee will see action for the Crimson Tide in 2025, but in what exact role is still a question mark. As to why, that is because Alabama has both Domani Jackson and Zabien Brown cemented as returning starters at cornerback, as well as DaShawn Jones at husky. Positions that Lee could potentially see time at this fall, the former five-star likely enters 2025 as a backup as a result of this, but should be among the top options in that conversation who could rotate in with the first team defense. Expect to see a lot of Lee this season, potentially both on defense and special teams, and for the freshman to likely continue emerging into a larger role as the season goes on.
